Malek sighed, I guess I should follow him he thought. With that he started to follow the man, looking back every few seconds. "I've been meaning to ask, what exactly happend? You passed through me as if I was nothing. You don't have to answer if you don't want to I was just curious." Malek was quite curious indeed. Most people he encountered were...well 'normal'.

At the question, Ishikawa looked back at the boy sharply. It was, in his opinion, was quite rude to the point of ridiculousness. "Yes, the dead do tend to do that," he said in annoyance. The vocal confirmation just made it all worse, like the fact should have been so glaringly obvious to everybody. Why not just scream it out for the world to hear?

These were irrational thoughts, he was aware. What he had to do was calm down and start thinking normally again. But, this irritating feeling of being some sort of victim still remained strong. That was what he hated the most.

Gods, he did despise it.

Malek could hear the annoyance in his voice and tried to apologize. "Sorry, it's just as long as I've been alive I haven't seen a ghost. When people die, they normally stay dead." He was probably making things worst but how could he know if he didn't try to make it better. The undead was an interesting idea, more so when you actually saw one in person.

"Unfortunately for everybody, I have seen more than enough spirits in my life time," Ishikawa muttered, still sour about the entire situation. "I assure you that if you stay on the island long enough, you will see your fair share in short order. Manta Carlos is apparently a fantastic place for falling into the eternity of uncompleted business."

It was true that he had not met any other spirits himself but that was mainly because Ishikawa had been trying his best to avoid that sort of confrontation. During life, it was because such a thing was unnecessary. Now, it was more because of embarrassment, although he himself would not use that particular word for it.

"I honestly think it's interesting." Malek began to scratch his the back of his head "Ghost and the Undead are just interesting to see since it seemed like those were the only things from tales that didn't actually exist but here I am talking to one!" Malek gave a genuine smile, he looked as if he was enjoying the chat.

"Normal human, then, are you?" Ishikawa said with a bit of doubt. "You seem to be taking this oddly well for one." Then again, the boy could not possibly be too well acquainted with the supernatural community if this was his first time communicating with a spirit. In Ishikawa's section of it, this sort of thing was really quite routine, although being on the other side of it was unsettling.

Although, wait. What was it exactly that he had said? 'It seemed like those were the only things-' How unusual. Such a statement meant that the subject either lived a very interesting life or were very well aged. Or both. Ishikawa took a few mental steps back as they reached the doors of the administrative building. "You are not human," he concluded. "That would be the correct answer here, yes?"

Malek smiled a toothy grin, revealing his sharper than human teeth. "What gave it away? The eyes? The teeth? Or maybe this." Without warning Malek's blood red wings unfolded from his back, straightening themselves the farthest they could. "I didn't properly introduce myself. I am both human and dragon, I am a hybrid. Malek Naritoloth, last Western European 'dragon' and as far as I know, last dragon." Malek had never been anywhere other than Europe so he didn't fully know if the other dragons had survived.

Ishikawa stopped when the wings came out. That sight actually warranted a blink or two from him. He had to remind himself, at least, that the boy's lineage was European. If it had been Asian, then that meant the man had made an embarrassing misstep. Since it was not, however, he was allowed to be merely caught off guard.

"It was the slip of tongue, actually," he said. "The way you speak does not quite fit with your apparent age. In any case, I can tell you for certain that you are not the last dragon. There are plenty still in Asia and while I have not seen many myself, I have heard that the European community is still a presence."

He glanced at the doors of the building in consideration. Would his hands pass through these, too? Carefully, he took one of the handles and pulled it open.

Malek's wings folded back in and Malek sighed. "It's good to hear that the dragon population is still thriving. Still, how are there still European dragons? I've traveled that land for 1400 years and I haven't seen a single one. I watched them all die when......." Malek went silent, he had already said to much by that. Perhaps they moved somewhere else when it happened. He thought.

The door, thankfully, was delightfully solid if not waxy to the touch. A lot of objects felt that way to him these days. He pulled it open with little trouble, holding it open for a moment when he passed through, as a signal for Malek to follow.

"You must be misinformed," Ishikawa said to him. "The dragon population might not be as numerous as the human one but certainly, it is much more spread out than you would think. While it is true that they are extinct in some areas now, you will find that there are still several 'kingdoms' situated around the world."
