Dorito stretched and cracked her neck, walking down the hallway of the dormitory building. She didn't have classes today, maybe she'd hit the gym? Or maybe head downtown and hang out at the Angels and Demons bar? There were many choices open to her. Maybe even stick around the school and continue to soak up the "College Experience". Cheeto was probably going to stay cooped up in her room, but Dorito and her shared thoughts so readily it was like they were never apart from each other.

However they always seemed at odds, despite looking so similar. While Dorito was willing to strike out and try to make friends, chat people up, have a night on the town, Cheeto was more than happy to keep to herself, her books and her hobbies. However Dorito wouldn't give up. She kept trying to find people to bring home and introduce to her sister, she kept sticking her nose in her sister's business, she kept bringing her sister into Manta Carlos to meet people. This time around, though. Things will be different! She's gunna find someone to bring home to meet Cheeto and that's that!

Ren was bored.

That seemed to be the cause of his current problem, the restlessness that had him wandering the halls of the dorm buildings without a particular destination in mind. Most of his peers-- at least, the fun ones he actually enjoyed spending time with-- had agreed to ditch school and take advantage of the Academy's location, sneaking off to have some fun in the sun. Of course, for the feline shapeshifter, that really didn't sound as appealing as it did for others.

The beach meant water, and oh, how he hated-- it most certainly wasn't a fear, regardless of how his family enjoyed teasing him for it-- water. Even the thought of all of his female classmates having fun in those little bikinis couldn't coax Ren to change his mind; he had flat out refused the moment a trip to the beach was even entertained as a possibility. That had ended up with Renato being called a spoilsport for the first time in his life.

And so, he had skipped his classes, but had nothing to do. From the students he saw on a daily basis, only the boring, rule-loving teacher's pets were left. He most definitely wasn't restless enough to resort to chatting them, and so he arrived at the crux of his problem.

He was so distracted with his silent grousing, however, that he failed to notice the impending collision until it was too late. Bumping into Dorito, he accidentally knocked her to the floor, and while a quick apology normally would've sufficed for something like that, his natural charm started peeking through when he realized it was a girl he had bumped into. At least, he thought so.

"Ah, please accept my apology, my dear. I wasn't paying much attention, which I now recognize as my mistake." He offered his hand to help Dorito back to her feet, simultaneously flashing his trademark roguish grin. "I'm Renato, by the way, but you can call me Ren~"

Before she could react someone had walked into her. This was happening less and less and at least she wasn't getting trampled anymore, however it still wasn't fun. Dorito went down hard and looked up with a scowl only to see... Cute guy. Well, maybe she could forgive him. He seemed like he was already quick to introduce himself to! Wait, was he... Was he chatting her up after bowling her off her feet like that!? Wow.

"Yeah... Might as well call me street pizza after that."

Dorito remained on the ground, arms crossed as she pouted up at Renato, or Ren as he wanted to be called. So familiar, and he only just now swept her off her feet in the worst possible way. Wait... Polite, kinda cute, and now owing her a favor since he walked into her? This was too perfect. Her scowl changed into a rather warm smile as she offered her hand up to him.

"I'm sure you wouldn't mind helping a poor girl back onto her feet? I haven't seen you around, Ren."

Can you feel the love in the air at this point? Dorito was gunna have a field day with this boy.

She seemed incredulous at his behavior, and yet, that was just how he was. Of course, she could also just be distracted by his wonderful charm, because really, who wouldn't?

That mutt, maybe, as he momentarily flashbacked to his confrontation with that werewolf, whatever his name was, but he couldn't sense an ounce of dog within the girl, so he supposed it was alright. Sure, she didn't exactly appear human, but then again, who was he to judge? So as long as they weren't averse to having a little... fun, he wouldn't discriminate against who he flirted with.

He blinked, broken out of his silent musings at the rather sudden switch in temperaments of the girl-- he really would have to get her name at some point--, but gently grasped her hand and helped her up regardless. "Ah, yes, well, I'm not usually wandering around this time of day." He paused, flashing a grin again. "I am glad I got the chance to bump into you, however... though maybe not quite as literal as it actually was." At that, he chuckled sheepishly. "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you, my dear?"

"Oh, I can think of a few ways! But for now you can walk with me, alright?"

Dorito didn't let go of Renato's hand, not just yet at least. She kept her hold on it after he helped her up, grinning up at him and giving him a warm smile. His tone was so flirtatious, she couldn't help but try to match it. He wasn't bad looking either, for a human. Granted most humans Dorito's talked with have been kinda good looking. That was neither here nor there, though. Right now Dorito had found a cute guy to bring back to Cheeto and was going to bring him back.

"I got someone I want you to meet, and if you've got nothing else going on?"

Dorito took a step backwards, still holding Renato's hand and looking up at him. That smile was still on her face but there were implications inside it. She let her hand slip from Renato's before turning and starting to walk away from Renato. She flashed that smile of hers at him one more time, glancing over her shoulder to make sure he was following.

The girl seemed to be quite eagerly now, and though he was slightly confused because of that, he shrugged it off and nodded, returning the smile with one of his own that was just a tad bit more genuine than his usual ones-- he went well with relatively happy people that didn't mind his flirty mannerisms. In fact, she appeared to be playing off of it, such a discovery causing his smile to widen into a grin. It was a faintly smug expression, much like a 'cat got the cream' type of half-grin, half-smirk.

"No, no, I'm all yours-- and whoever this friend of yours is." He added, watching as she moved away and all but shot him a coy look over her shoulder. Unable to-- or at least, not bothering to-- stifle a quietly amused chuckle, he started following after her. He could just tell he was in for a rather fun time, and absentmindedly thanked whoever was listening that not only would the beach day reminder of his hatred-- not fear— of water be taken care of, but his boredom would also be cured at the same time.

"Good, we can be a little bad at sharing." Dorito turned as she walked, speaking directly to Renato with that same coy grin on her face. She finished the turn and almost skipped as she continued to head towards her dorm room. Ren seemed to be keeping pace with her, not hard since he was twice her size. That was something Dorito had started to notice; her stamina had increased drastically upon coming to this school, having to jog or power walk everywhere to try and keep up with the other students has had a positive effect on her. Well, there were other activities that benefited from and helped increase her stamina, but that's a story for another day. As she walked down the halls she would make small talk. This might not be a serious, long term thing. "So how long have you been at the academy?"

As she turned another corner, getting closer to her room as she looked once more over her shoulder. She had a real winner here, with an alluring build and striking red hair. His face was something Dorito wouldn't get bored with looking at either. He's polite yet flirty, and she could see just how well he'd get along with Cheeto. It was hard to keep a smirk off her face as she led Renato towards her dorm room.

Ren arched a brow at that, though simply became further intrigued about this 'friend' Dorito was bringing him to meet. He hadn't been attending the Academy for very long, and though he was quite the social butterfly in his own right, he hadn't started to stray outside interacting with the students of his own year yet. As a result, he'd never heard of Dorito and Cheeto before this.

"Only a month, maybe a month and a half." He answered, voice thoughtful as his mind turned to his memories of first coming to the island. Several of his family members, including his father and his older brother, had attended Starlight Academy before him. They had given him a few tips and pointers about the classes, but otherwise remained silent on the topic-- they wanted Ren to explore the Academy for himself. Explore he did, too, spending a lot of the nights in his feline form prowling around the courtyards and different buildings of the Academy.

Shaking his head slightly to clear his train of thought, he offered Dorito another amiable smile. "It's been a great experience so far, though. And what about you?" He returned, vivid green gaze becoming lightly teasing. He could tell they were nearly there, as the eager anticipation was all but oozing from Dorito. It was actually a bit infectious; Ren could feel a roguish grin tugging at his lips. "Are you going to tell me who, exactly, you're bringing me to meet, hm?"

"Oh, just my sister." Dorito practically skipped down the hall towards her dorm, every now and then glancing over to Renato with a coy smile. "I think you're just her type." In appearance anyways, he was a strikingly attractive young man. It wouldn't matter much if he didn't immediately like Cheeto anyways. Thanks to her power Dorito was confident Renato would enjoy their company. "Oh... Where are my manners? I'm Dorito by the way." She walked up to a door at the corner of the hallway, putting her hand on the doorknob.

It didn't take long for Dorito to reach out to her sister through their connected mind, learning that Cheeto was lounging around as she always does. "The academy has been great, I didn't think I'd ever see a place with so many humans, I never thought I'd get to meet so many humans." As she spoke she gave a mental note to her sister, suddenly spurring Cheeto to action as she hastily cleaned her side of the room as best she could. Dorito opened the door and walked into the room, inviting Renato inside. "Come on in, Ren."

Cheeto had hastily stuffed the last of her mess under the bed, fresh dishes in the sink and dirty clothes hastily piled in one corner of the room. She was panting slightly from having to clean for company so quickly. She gave a small, nervous smile to Renato as she saw him through the door. It hadn't fully dawned on Cheeto yet that she was wearing a cat ear headband, a large pink tanktop, and only her panties. Dorito could barely contain the sadistic grin her sister's predicament had given her.

The feline shifter paused for barely a second before mentally shrugging, simply continuing forward as Dorito led him onward. There had been plenty of times when well-meaning friends or siblings had tried to set him up with someone. He had gone along each time, hoping that maybe, if he was particularly lucky or blessed or something, the person he was to meet would turn out to be his potential bonded. So far, it hasn't worked out that way, but his extroverted and flirty nature rarely rejected or ignored the chance to socialize and make friends.

'Well, at least today has stopped being boring.' He thought absentmindedly as he hummed to Dorito's words, having just enough time to murmur a charming 'nice to meet you, Miss Dorito~' before she opened the door. He inclined his head in thanks, stepping through the door and curiously peering around the room as much as he could without appearing rude. He paused in his observations once he spotted Cheeto, his lips pulling into a rather amused half-smile, half-smirk. "I hope we're not interrupting anything, my dear." He teased lightly, casually allowing his gaze to roam.

Of course, he also softened his expression into a gentler smile after several moments. Anyone with a pair of functional eyes could tell Cheeto wasn't as outgoing as Dorito. Ren was much more chivalrous than anyone gave him credit for-- or even realized, hidden by his somewhat shameless nature as it was--, and he didn't want to make the girl too uncomfortable. From what he had gathered on the walk to their dorm, Dorito was someone who could give as good as she got, and he was sure he wouldn't feel bad teasing her quite a bit. Cheeto, on the other hand, seemed to be the type of girl that shied away from social contact as much as is politely possible. And well... he had a weakness for upset females. Put a distraught girl in front of him and he'd be tripping over himself trying to get her to smile.

"The name's Renato Constantyne, my dear, but you can call me Ren." He murmured, giving a grin that was distinctly feline. Hopefully-- and if Cheeto's headband was anything to go by, rather likely--, the two girls liked cats.
