"We could," he'd say with a nod, "with the snow they might be having trouble transporting everything." Pulling out his phone he'd start to look up info on the shops. "If we find that's the issue and I can help them with that as well."

He'd turn back to the old man. "Is your daughter a student?" he'd ask, "if she is the school might be able to help with accommodations for her."

Understanding a kid apparently got even more incomprehensible, especially one who refused to speak whatsoever. At least in Krish's now annoyed opinion. Unfortunately, with the care package in his hands, and frankly, no longer paying much attention to the interaction next to him, the little girl, Gabby, barely had any trouble getting the sticker onto his clothes.

"Hey! You don't-" And the kid was gone. He let out the closest thing to a growl that he could manage and craned his neck to see where the sticker was, right on his coat. He'll just have to remember to get rid of that, made his coat look idiotic, like he didn't hold any standards for it. He didn't speak anymore to the family, and followed Aria to the porch, stopping a ways from the hiding place of the dog's.

"Or at least that dog's going to be happy, he's getting a ton of food right now."

"Aye," the old man said to James with a nod," she is a student, but she lives here with me, not at the academy," he explained, not really sure how the school could help him out. "Her mother passed away a few years ago, and her father, well," here he shrugged helplessly. The father had been a demon, an envy and pride demon supposedly.

"Your daughter might be better off, at least for now," Celeste said in a gentle tone, "at the school where they can provide her regularly with the sustenance she needs." Celeste was going to say "look after" but she was afraid the old man would be insulted or think she meant he couldn't care for his granddaughter if she said such a thing.

"I don't know..." the old man said as he regarded Celeste warily.

"What do you say?" he added then, looking at James again, clearly old-school in his way of thinking and trusting the young man's judgment more than Celeste's advice.

"The snow is slowing everything down in the city, but not the school," he'd say with a nod, "between its magic and resources the school is doing better than most of the city."

Pulling out a paper he'd write something down, "I live at the school myself, I promise they make sure all students are comfortable and have what they need, especially with all the snow." He'd offer him the paper, "this is my number."

"Why don't you think things over while we see into the meat situation?" he'd say with a small nod, "call if you need anything."

Celeste packed up the one box while James talked the old man. She had politely taken the hint that he preferred a "man's point of view" over hers. In fact, it had been quite a while since Celeste had encountered such an outdated way of thinking; although for the sake of the young girl upstairs suffering, she decided not to pursue it.

Seeing the man accept Jame's piece of paper, Celeste heard the man tell James he'd give the idea a thought.

"We will be back tomorrow to check on you two," Celeste offered, thinking that if James couldn't come with her she'd just ask Zora, her father, or even Roldan to accompany her.

"Shall we go, James?" she suggested politely as she picked up her boxes, Really quite ready to leave now.

Krish hadn't exactly warmed up to them as far as she could tell. They seemed like they were annoyed with everyone and everything. Aria just sighed and focused on the good. Krish had helped fairly well, and they hadn't even pulled the sticker off immediately. Silver linings.

She watched as Liron entice the pup out of the hole with food and Aria smiled. "Good job, I think you've earned the honors of returning them." Sure enough Aria stood back with Krish and let Liron bring the furry bundle up to the older woman's door. The woman slowly shuffled back to the door but when she spottede Puddles her whole body seemed to be renewed with life a little. Her eyes shown happily as she thanked the woman over and over. "Thank you so much. If anything had happened to him... well it didn't and i'll be sure to keep him from doing it again," said the woman while holding back tears of joy ad trying to hug both Liron and Puddles.

While they waited for the woman to get through thanking Liron and asking if she wanted to come in for some tea, Aria turned back to Krish. "The deliveries won't all be like this. I know we got a little sidetracked. But... I think you impressed that girl a little bit," she quietly mentioned to Krish. For good or ill that girl had been fascinated with him. She was also looking at her annotated map to see where to go next.
