Liron Andersen

She tried, she really did, but there was simply no sign of anything out in this snow. With a sigh, Liron hung back to survey the scene further. Her eyes fell back in direction of the older woman's doorstep, where the porch was raised. With a bit of a suspicion, she headed towards it, bent over a little to see what might be underneath.

"Perfect, basically what I said I wanted." Krish took the compromise well, mostly hearing the parts he wanted to. Thankfully, he did keep his mouth shut once they have approched any more doors.

After all, he didn't need to be told he was somehow rude again. Sure, he've heard that a few times, actually, but while he decided he was going to help? Something he'd like to avoid, thanks.

There wasn't much open space underneath the porch, and not nearly enough light to see under it properly. But with the tiny amount of light making it's way under there a bit of a reflection from two little eyes could be seen. Then the telltale movement in the dark made it clearer. Something alive was hiding under there, though it wasn't making an attempt to come out. Perhaps it was to cold or too scared.

Aria nodded at Krish and let the matter drop, more or less solved for the time being. And he was doing just what they'd agreed upon too, letting her do the talking while he handed over care packages.

When a somewhat frazzled looking woman cracked open the door after yelling for whomever else was there to be quiet Aria put a nice customer service smile on and greeted her. "Good day ma'am, we're going around checking to make sure everyone has what they need during this storm," she started and then took a step back so the care packages Krish was hefting could be seen. "It sounds like you've got your hands full, maybe a few supplies will ease your nerves a little?"

The woman laughed dryly, "about time. Snow's too deep to go out to the store and i'm stuck here by myself with my three kids. I swear cabin fever'll be the end of me if this keeps up." But she did reach forward for Krish to hand over the supplies.

Meanwhile two kids popped out from around her to practically bounce out onto the porch, looking disheveled like they had been running around the house all morning. A boy, maybe around 6ish looked up shyly at Aria and her glowing halo while his sister, looking about 10 or so had her arms crossed and looking up at Krish.

While the staring contest began next to her, Aria knelt down to greet the younger child. "Hello there, i'm Cadet Vaughan," she started softly. Trying not to scare him off at all. "I think I have something for you if you promise to be good for your mom. But only if you give me a pinky promise, ok?."

The child seemed to be taking a while but then nodded. "His name is Charlie," the mother interjected helpfully. At the nod Aria gave another smile and pulled a sheet of stickers out of her pocket. "Alright Mr. Charlie, you can have any one of these dinosaur stickers if you pinky promise you'll be good," Aria explained in a very friendly tone as he offered her pinky.

Charlie looked over the sheet extensively before eventually putting out his pinky for the promise and pointing to, of course, the T-Rex sticker. With a quick "good choice," Aria placed the sticker in the boys hand and ushered him back into the open doorway. It was far too cold for the children to be outside without winter coats and boots.

After that Aria looked back over to check on how Liron was doing. "Ms. Anderson, how are you faring over there?" she asked, noting that the woman was peering under the porch.

Looking to the packages he'd quickly look through them, funding one with human meat he'd offer it to the man. "Thus one has some human meat sir," his nose twitching slightly as he spoke.

"I can open portals, so once me and my partner are done handing packages out I can make a run to a butcher shop. Pick up more if you need it." His portals were very useful, so he wanted to use them to help.

Celeste glanced gratefully at James and quickly dug through another box looking for more human meat while he talked to and reassured the older man. She hoped they had grabbed one of the boxes with human meat and other things like blood packs, live insects and some blue and yellow viscous liquids.

"Here is another pack of human," Celeste said as she handed the man another package. "And ..How about you?" she asked with concern, "Do you need anything?"

The old man accepted the packages gratefully. He had feared for his granddaughter, not sure what would have happened if her demon side took over completely. Eating human meat, oddly enough, kept that side in check.

"I'm good," he said, unconcerned about himself at that moment, "though I could use another package or two if you don't mind?" he said as he looked hopefully at James.

Yelling from inside the door wasn't exactly something Krish was expecting, and he took a step back before the door opened, just in case. Who knew the reason, and he didn't feel like being face to face with someone angered, thank you very much. But when it was clearly just a frazzled women and her children he quickly shook his head and stepped forward with a package, awkwardly, and having to quickly put the other package on the ground so he could actually hand the package without dropping it, but still doing the job.

And then the kids ran out and one stopped in front of him, arms crossed. Unknowingly imitating the girl's pose, Krish asked, "What? Need to say something?" Really, he haven't had to talk to that many kids, and had no idea if this was just normal kid acting. He decided to take it as normal when the girl shrugged and looked over to her brother, getting a sticker. Krish sighed, reached for the package and tapped his hand on the box to get Aria's attention. "You're going to need to give the quiet girl a sticker too. I think she asking for one? Probably?"

Hearing Anderson yell from where she still was looking for the dog, and apparently found it, he yelled back, "Alright, just grab that fluff all then! It is that dog, right?"

"I made sure to bring plenty," he'd say giving the old man a few more. Ten tentacles and enhanced strength meant he could carry plenty of supplies for everyone.

"Call your usual butcher shop and see if they're still stocked up," he'd give him a reassuring smile, "I'll swing by once we're finished and use my portals to pick up what you need."

"And don't forget to take care of yourself as well sir, especially with the snow coming down," he'd hand him one more package, this one meant for humans, for him.

Celeste went to help the old man call around. As it turned out his butcher shop had run out of human meat. Their supplier had had a problem with stock because there had been an unusually high spike in sales as people stocked up just in case.

"They haven't got any, James," Celeste told him with a tiny frown. "In fact, I called two other butchers and it seems like everybody is low, or out," she explained. "I guess, we could maybe try going directly to a supplier?" she suggested.

Aria prioritized finishing up with the children before going to see if Liron needed help with the scared dog. She looked over to see Krish... trying to interact with her, maybe? The two of them weren't really having a conversation at all but Krish had realized that the child might feel left out without getting a sticker too.

She smiled and shifted over to kneel in front of the girl. "Is that true, do you want a sticker too?" she asked very kindly and glanced towards the mother to make sure it was ok. The woman nodded and reveled her daughter's name was Gabby.

Gabby kept her arms folded as she looked up at Krish, looked at Aria and then looked back one more time at Krish before nodding. Aria chuckled and offered the same deal for a dinosaur sticker. With a very reluctant pinky promise the little girl selected a large pterodactyl sticker. Which she promptly stuck to Krish's clothes and sprinted off inside the house. An action quite confusing and unexpected for those unfamiliar with the weird ideas children came up with.

Aria was smiling and laughing as she bed the woman a god day and returned to Liron to check out the porch hidey hole. Puddles had not come out of the hole yet so Aria offered a few pieces of food to Liron, deciding to let her keep trying to coax the dog out since she'd spotted him. "This should help. I know you're going to make that woman very happy when you rescue Puddles for her," Aria encouraged Liron as she hung out next to the woman in case she needed help.
