Aria waited until her two teammates stepped through her portal before stepping through it herself. She was always extremely careful not to let anyone be passing through when she closed her portals.

The three of them stood in the snow in front of a set of duplexes, and several of the walkways clearly had not been cleared as often as needed to allow people to enter or exit easily. "Alright, since the entrances to these duplexes are right by each other I think we can get through a few of them rather quickly," Aria explained to both of them before trudging though the snow towards the front steps.

She knocked on the door with her gloved hands and put on a friendly smile for the rather old woman who answered the door. Aria glanced at her notes and then gestured for one of the two to come up with a care package. "Ms. Davis, we're volunteers from the city with a care package for you. Blankets and other supplies to help you out," she began as she stepped to the side to let the others join her up by the door. With the friendliness and Aria's uniform it appeared they didn't have to worry about her being scared of random strangers at her door.

"Is there anything else we could do to help you today Ms. Davis?" Aria asked after ensuring the care package was going to be handed over. Sometimes people thought of things after they were done on the emergency hotline.

"Oh...," the older woman began, "well... I don't want to be a bother but... my poor little Puddles slipped out the door. If you see him, he's a little white ball of fluff, could you bring him back to me? I'm worried."

"Oh, a dog?" Liron asked curiously from behind her teammate. That would be awfully hard to find in the snow against all the white but she didn't want to believe that they'd be so late that the poor thing would freeze. "I'll go take a look."

Making sure to stay in sight of the others, Liron slipped a bit away, calling Puddles's name. She squinted against the snow and wind that got into her eyes, trying to find tracks.

Krish ended up handing over the care package he had, sure he definitely was going to take one at some point, but only when he could. And after he felt that he helped enough to not accidentally feel guilty over too much.

So, wanting a care package, he could understand, he wanted one to give to someone after all. But this lady's next request? Just was really, really stupid sounding. It almost sounded like some sort of joke, so he decided to ask. "Are you joking or something? A little, white dog's is going to be just crazy hard to find anywhere in this snow." He scratched at his head. "And we're supposed to be doing something completely different so..."

And then the angel had to go looking for that dog instantly. Because of course she would. Krish followed as closely as he wanted, which wasn't that close, he still had the roof over his head, and yelled so she could hear him. "Hello!? We still got packages to give around! That's our job right now and how we're helping, grabbing a runaway dog, even if we feel a little bad for it, isn't needed!"

Closing the portal he'd turn to the house. "Yeah, looks like they need it," he'd form another portal, thus one leading to the house's porch and stepped through, setting the packages on a clear spot on the porch he'd turn to the snow.

Walking forward his strong tentacles would dig through the snow and sweep it to the side to form a better path. "Won't last to long with it still falling but it'll help," he'd stop once he got close to where he originally stood.

"Ok, let's see who's home."

Aria glared at Krish and then turned to smile at the older woman and cut her way back into the conversation over Krish. "We'll see if we can find Puddles while we check on your neighbors too, Ms. Davis. Make sure you stay inside where it's warm," she said as she turned to step down away from the door, gesturing for Krish to go before her. She knew it would be pretty hard to find the dog in this weather, and also knew quite well that they couldn't really promise to find them.

But Krish was not being respectful at all and that needed to be addressed. She'd go out of earshot from the woman if she could get it. But if he wanted to say up there under the overhand she'd deal with it right there. "What you just did there was very rude. Yes there are more pressing needs than finding a lost dog but that doesn't make her concerns a joke," she quietly scolded, though she was more stern and informative than actually angry. "We can keep our eyes out while we're here and see if we can find Puddles while we help the others. I thought the volunteers were here because they wanted to help people?"

Aria sighed and glanced over towards where Liron was looking. "Ms. Anderson, if you want to help look for Puddles while we go to this next door right here that would be very helpful. Just stay were we can see you are safe and let us know if you need help," She called out and gave the woman a friendly smile. At least one of her teammates was willing to see if they could help a little more. She didn't blame Krish for wanting to focus on the more important things but jeez, poor woman was probably so upset thinking her dog might be out here freezing.

Aria pulled a care package out of her pocket dimension and offered it to Krish. "There are more people who needs these bundles. Will you at least help me deliver them?"

Celeste looked at James and nodded, "Let's..." she agreed as they made their way shortly towards the older looking house, their boots crushing in the snow and leaving fairly deep tracks as they walked up to the front door. There Celeste knocked twice on the front door and rang the doorbell while she waited patiently with James for someone to answer, listening attentively for movement or some sort of noise to indicate someone was home.

After a few minutes of silence, they heard shuffling of feet as an older gentleman opened the door with a very weary look on his face. "What do you want?" he replied gruffly as he eyed Celeste and James suspiciously. "I am not buying, nor am I interested in whatever god you're peddling," he added coolly.

Rude? Krish scoffed, his arms still wrapped around him. "But that sounds so ridiculous! You know, like some test of character in books or whatever." He rolled his eyes, a laugh escaping. "I mean, really! I was just saying what it sounded like, and it sounded like a joke. How's that rude? But fine, I'll keep my eyes open for a actual white fluffball."

"And I am here to help people, I had to do something when everybody was doing everything around me. I just thought I was only going to help with this, not added stuff like that dog." He grabbed two care packages despite the fact he had to hold one awkwardly under his arm. Good thing these weren't too heavy, but he'd hate habing to carry more than these two. Taking more would help do more though, and then it would be obvious he was here to help, even if he was "rude", apparently. "Ready?"

"Hello sir," he'd say calmly to the man, "don't worry, not selling anything and I don't follow any gods." He'd hold up one of the packages, "we're handing out supplies to the people who might be stuck by the snow," luckily James was patient, the Shadow was already annoyed and making sure James knew it.

"So we wanted to see of you'd like some or if you need any other help.

The old man regarded Celeste and James a bit longer with some suspicion, and then relented. "My granddaughter, Rosemarie, is upstairs. She's not, well, she needs fresh meat, preferably human, but with this snow..." the old man admitted somewhat defensively.

"Oh, my.. and just how long has your granddaughter not eaten properly?" Celeste asked him calmly as she glanced at James with concern, hiding just how worried was at this from the grandfather. "Is she ... awake?" Celeste asked.

'Aye, she is... but, uh, Rosemarie is not, she's not quite herself, if you get me," he admitted, for the first time showing fear mixed with real concern. "I had to spell lock her in her room," he confessed sheepishly, lowering his voice just as a screeching started.

"F*cking Hell, you stupid old man, I'll rip your puny legs off and feed them to you in pieces... lemme outta here, you bloody son of a whooore!" A loud girlish demon voice screaming, echoing off the walls as a loud banging noise was felt and heard throughout the house.

"That's my Rose..." the old man grimaced.

Aria sighed but kept her composure. She was aware that there was a very wide range of people on the island with just as varied ways of thinking about things. "You do not have to help with anything you don't want to, you're a volunteer," she replied and then watched as he hefted two care packages at once. Either he was showing off... or trying to prove something to her? She wasn't quite sure which yet.

"I'm ready. How about I do the talking while you deliver the packages? That way people see you being helpful and I can handle talking to the people and making sure they don't bother you with too many additional tasks," she offered as they stepped up towards the next door. This one with a couple of kids' outdoor toys pulled up onto the porch out of the snow.

Aria stepped forward and knocked again and there was the sound of kids making noise inside and someone trying to make their way to the door, but they were taking a long while to do so.

Meanwhile as Liron searched for any trace of the dog, she would find no tracks. But the porch was raised off the ground. It was possible the tiny dog had tried to find shelter after it got outside.
