Appearance Description: Liron stands at five feet and ten inches tall with long, flowing white hair and golden eyes. Though she is in her forties, she has the appearance of a twenty year-old. Her skin is fair, which makes her scars all the more obvious. Her right eye is typically covered by an eye-patch but under that, her face is a mess of burn scars running diagonally from her forehead down her cheek. There are similar scars running down her back and across her right arm and leg. Remnants of even older and more serious scars can be found all around her body. She walks with a limp and requires a cane. Her wings, when visible, are iridescent and black feathered. They span the full length from her head to her toes and the feathers slightly drag on the ground if she does not keep them spread at an angle.

Personality Description: Liron is extremely young for a pure-blooded angel, fallen or not. Often times, it shows in her overly positive and happy manner, ready to forgive the worst of faults at the drop of a hat if she perceives even the slightest bit of sincerity. In some ways, she is the epitome of a classic Christian angel - beautiful, young, and graceful. Her curiosity towards humanity, however, was often considered to be grossly inappropriate and borderline obscene. At times, her superiors criticized her for wanting to live among the humans, a dream that she never let go off.

Artistic with a flare of whimsy, Liron is skilled with multiple instruments and is an avid painter. Shamed for her interests in the past, she is reluctant to share these details with outsiders. One skill that she is properly proud of, however, is her ability to cook.

In some ways, Liron's sunny attitude is meant to mask emotions she has not yet come to terms with. With the rationalization that anything that helps people is good, she is often generous and helpful to the point of being a danger to herself and her livelihood. The problem with Liron is that she simply wants to help everybody no matter what their actual issue is. Money goes through her fingers because she is charitable to all who approach her in distress.

Under the mask, Liron is a tired young woman who feels her possibilities for life stifled. She wants the world to stand still, to stop mocking her existence by quickly aging, dying, and leaving her. To acknowledge this part of her, however, would mean having to deal with it so she simply does not.

Active Abilities: Divine Chorus - Liron was once a true angel of the Lord and her voice reflects upon that. She can sing or speak in multiple voices at once, as if a choir unto herself. With instinctive knowledge of every hymn ever composed in worship of God, she could theoretically sing a thousand songs at once. So great is her vocal ability that she is able to induce small miracles simply by singing. Stones shed tears in her presence. The animals fall silent at the sound of her voice. The grass and flowers flourish slightly underfoot. The breeze halts.

Spread Your Wings - At will, Liron can materialize her wings. With them, she can fly as fast as a peregrine falcon.

Passive Abilities: Benign Effects - Due to her nature as an angel, Liron cannot be physically harmed by poisons or diseases.

Take Your Cake And Eat It, Too - Liron has been blessed with both immortality and eternal youth. She stopped aging in her twenties and will continue to appear young for the rest of her life. If she is killed, she will reappear in limbo. She must spend a week there healing before returning to Earth. Unfortunately, she can be permanently killed with weapons forged to harm divine beings. She can also be killed by high-ranking archangels or demon lords under special circumstances.

Weaknesses: Turn the Light - Liron is especially vulnerable to shadow magic, even for a being of light. Contact with even the weakest shadow magic will give her terrible third degree burns. In addition to physically harming her, the effects of shadow magic also follow her each time she reappears in limbo.

Biography: Liron was born to a pair of faceless angels who went through the motions of raising her alongside several siblings. Throughout her childhood, it was constantly reinforced that her existence was to protect humanity and defeat the demons that frequently encroached on their territory. Her purpose afterwards was merely to repopulate the ranks -if she survived- and train the next generation. She was prepared, then, when she joined the army at the young age of eighteen. By that point, she had already lost several siblings to the endless fighting. Even more, however, had already gone on to found families of their own.

It soon became clear that Liron was useless as a fighter. Her talents in the arts never managed to translate to anything palatable in combat and she was quickly dismissed as a failure by her superiors and peers. Socially isolated, she became desperate to prove her worth in any way, which resulted in her being seriously injured after taking on a demon much more powerful than she was. Her recklessness cost her an eye and mobility in one of her legs, permanently removing her from the battlefield. This hardly stopped her, however. After deep contemplation and prayer to the Lord, she decided to tackle the biggest problem that angels had when fighting demons - their vulnerability to shadow magic.

In her dreams, Liron became bold. She sought out nightmarish entities, trying to lure them closer to her. Many times she succeeded a little too well, having to flee from a monster that would have seized her soul. At last, however, she managed to seduce a nightmare with her amazing voice. What happened between them cannot truly be called sex but the result was the same - a child who emerged fully developed from the darkness. She woke from her dream to find an infant quietly settled in her arms. At that moment, she was taken by two terrible realizations - that she loved this tiny creature which was hers and that she could not possibly think of him as a weapon any longer. She feared and her fears were realized.

The child was taken away from her in punishment and she was not allowed contact with him. In such a closed community, such a thing could not have been hidden. Her parents were the very angels who brought her sin to light and in her grief, she began to fall. For fifteen years, she struggled with her faith and what her fellow angels had done. Briefly, it crossed her mind that they had strayed from the path long ago but surely not? The epiphany came upon her hard and it was that way, not knowing anymore what the Lord had intended for them, that she fully fell at last. For that, she was exiled from the outpost and driven out, though not before she had the opportunity to slip her throwing daggers to her son as a final parting gift.

Ironically, Liron had finally fulfilled her dreams of living among humanity. She became a migrant, moving from continent to continent. It was not long before she made contact with a scout from Starlight Academy but at that point, what good would it do her? She was not a child to be taken care of. Nor was she anybody who could contribute to that community. She decided to move on and did so, eventually settling in the United States.

It was there that she met her current husband, Adam Andersen. More enthralled by his simple kindness than in love with him, the two quickly became good friends and then something more. Initially ignorant of romance, Liron was taken aback by Adam's declaration of love. She had never experienced anything like it before and rather than being flattered or put on the spot, she was merely curious. Why? She had to ask. His answers confused her but she accepted his feelings nonetheless with a simple caveat - she would be his wife but with the understanding that she might be completely incapable of romantic love. They would remain good friends, she continued with a sliver of hope.

Needless to say, Adam accepted her terms. He was tired of being bitter and alone after his divorce and found it appealing that Liron would continue to maintain a close relationship with him no matter the course of their marriage. She confided in him that she was a fallen angel and he respected her more for her general gentleness. She developed a decent bond with her stepson, Kasper, whom she lavished as much love as possible, possibly out of guilt for having not been around for her own child's upbringing.

After some time, however, their peaceful life was interrupted by the shock of discovering that Kasper had gained some mysterious power. Knowing that she could no longer keep it a secret from him, she revealed to him that she was an angel, albeit fallen, and that there was a place for the supernatural on Manta Carlos island.

Resources: Liron is part of a middle class family with average means. She also has the income of an Academy teacher.
