Appearance Description : Li is probably the ugliest person within a hundred miles of Manta Carlos. There is no tragic reason for this; he was simply born ugly and grew up ugly and now is an ugly adult who is ugly. He is fine with this but understanding that other people are not, he usually walks around wrapped in bandages. Because, hey, that's a thing, right?
Li stands at five feet and five inches tall. He is quite strong from the equivalent of swimming hundreds of miles a day but it doesn't show very well because he is obviously overweight. All the fat that's showing, though, is more or less solid muscle. His hair and eyes are black.
Through the bandages, it's clear that Li has an oddly shaped chin that seems to be more elongated than normal, as well as a bent and somewhat mushed in nose. If anybody sees him with the bandages off, they will find that his skin is very bad and he has near constant acne. This is not just on his face either. He also has scars from pimples and rashes and bags under his eyes. The placement of the bones in his face makes it look like a triangle. There are tons of scars on his body, to the point where it's probably more accurate to say that there is a body on his scars instead of the other way around. Some of his bones are also noticeably bent weird. He just takes it in stride.
Because of what he does, Li often dresses like a ship captain. He has a black peaked hat, which nobody should ever touch because as far as he's concerned, that's the best hat. Period. He also has a black naval style coat that he's really fond of.
Personality Description : Personally, Li has embraced his ugliness and is extremely proud of it, to a degree that some people might find disturbing. He doesn't care what anybody thinks of him and often very enthusiastically says things that would make him seem tough and hardcore -only to back down immediately afterwards in case he's insulted or frightened anybody. Despite his somewhat intimidating appearance, Li is actually a really nice guy who wants to be nice to everybody. However, he is also aware of the fact that he's the type of person people would take advantage of without a second thought. After some deep, profound contemplation on the subject, Li has decided that he doesn't give a crap whether or not people make fun of him for having his niceness exploited. He does, however, care a lot about being exploited. They are two very different things and sometimes people don't understand that they aren't the same.
Power : Best Boat - Li has the ability to turn into any boat that he wants. This boat, however, can be no longer than eight hundred feet and no shorter than eight feet. None of these boats are armed and any damage that the boat takes is transferred to Li once he turns back, in roughly the same proportions. He doesn't often let other people onto him when he is in boat form because if anything inside of the boat is damaged, that is essentially wrecking his internal organs. People should be wary of that.

Biography : Li was born an average Chinese family and lived an average life except for the fact that he was ugly. His parents were perfectly average looking people but Li likes to say that they had hearts of pure gold because they never made him feel bad for looking different from other people. Even though other children at school would often give him a hard time, Li found that by embracing his ugliness, people would find him so strange that they stopped bothering him entirely.
There was no particular moment when Li realized that he had magic. It was just a kind of understanding that built up over time as he became increasingly fascinated with water and anything in or on the water. Soon enough, he was starting to dream of being a boat and began to believe that he could do that in real life. Some people might call this being really delusional but to Li, it was being incredibly rational and realistic. After all, if he was dreaming this much about something so weird, it obviously had to be real.
Anyways, as soon as he could, Li ditched school and decided to live life on the seas as a pirate. Unfortunately, China being what it was, Li had to go far, far away from the country in order to follow his dreams. Kind of. It wasn't really a dream so much as a desire just to do something fun with his life. After traveling around the world and running into some trouble at particular intervals, he finally discovered Manta Carlos. It was much less shocking than it should have been, really. He had figured a while back that if he had powers, there was probably some hidden community of people with powers somewhere in the world. Luckily, that community happened to be surrounded by water.
