Appearance Description:
Laetus' appearance, including size, hair color and eye color are all variable and dependent on his will. However, as of late he has stuck to this as his base form. Laetus currently has yellow eyes, dark brown hair and stands at just under 6ft tall. His physical build, however, doesn't change much, being rather on the thin side.
Personality Description: Laetus is a free spirit at his core. He is relaxed, laid back to a fault, and easily distracted. When he gets a thought in his head, he is likely to simply go for it, though he often gets side tracked and never really sees things to the end. If you manage to keep his full attention, you must mean a lot to him.
Powers:
-Laetus is a Fairy, capable of changing his physical form in many ways. His height can go from an average human to a tiny sprite at his digression. His hair and eye color are just as fluid as his size, though he only messes with them when he is really bored. He can also make more obvious physical changes such as increasing visible muscle, editing his facial structure, and even skin tone (in a rainbow of colors, not just average human colors), though these more major changes are temporary, and put a strain on his body after extended periods.
-Laetus also possesses a gold ring, about 1.5in in diameter, on a chain around his neck. Using its magic, he is capable of opening up to 6 portals simultaneously, and summoning something from them, as well as travel through them. These portals can be as small as the ring on his neck, or as wide as a building. There are, however, two draw backs; the place they draw from must have been visited by Laetus at least once, and opening many portals at once or sustaining one for an extended period will put a heavy strain on Laetus' body and mind, and will become too much to handle faster with a larger portal.
-He is also quite capable with a staff, though I don't believe that counts as a power.
Biography: Laetus has been an adventurous spirit since birth. That's how his mother would put it. His father on the other hand... wouldn't put it so nicely. He always had to keep up with this troublesome child, clean up his messes, and generally keep him out of trouble. Most of his time was spent trying to keep his boy from leaving the forest they protected and were protected by. Laetus never understood the whole thing, and the older he got, the less he wanted to understand it. He couldn't possibly understand resigning ones self to living in one place forever. As time went on, he would do anything he could to touch the outside world; steal books from travelers, listen to campers stories in secret, anything that linked him to that realm beyond the tree line. One day, he tried to steal from the wrong... Or right person. This traveler was a teacher at a special school for the strange, gifted, etc. A non-human would have nothing to fear there. He would get to see the outside world! ... You can see where this is going, I would guess. Mother approves, Father, however, won't even humor the idea. That night, his mother would help him sneak out without his fathers knowing. Before letting her child leave, his mother gave him a special ring, which she said would protect him, as well as guide him home, should he chose to return... And that gets him here.
Additional Information: Laetus is capable of floating/ flying. This is due to his species, so I was unsure if this belonged with his powers.
