Appearance Description : In Suk stands at five and five inches tall. She has long black hair that falls to her upper thighs and is usually pinned up in interesting styles. Sometimes they don't always come out too well and make her look somewhat silly. When she does them right, though, she is quite pretty. She has black eyes. Also, she might not look like it but she's pretty strong.
In Suk normally wears a maroon colored skirt and tie, short sleeved white blouse, and yellow sweater sweater vest. She wears oval framed glasses.
Personality Description : In Suk is a nice girl but doesn't make a lot of effort to speak with other people. Mostly because she's a deaf mute and can't but also because she's often off working on some project and doesn't want to be disturbed. She's the kind of girl who doesn't mind getting her hands dirty doing something fun. She likes people and tries her best to be sweet but she's also impulsive and does lots of things on a whim. Because of this, she's pretty much always broke.
In Suk is very much a fish out of water, although that might not be immediately obvious with the way that she carries herself. When she isn't tinkering in her room, she can be usually found poking about newly discovered curiosities or dumpster diving for salvageable materials. She's the type of person who doesn't mind getting her hands dirty doing something fun and meaningful. Either or. Impulsive by nature, she often goes by her gut feeling and does things spontaneously. Coupled with the fact that In Suk's a deaf girl who can only understand Korean, this often leads to awkward situations. She tries to be as sweet as possible but without a means to communicate with people -besides bad electronic translators- she can appear quite abrupt in decision making. Due to her disability, she also tends to not have filters. She says what she wants to say and attempts to do it as concisely as possible, although due to the way that the translator works, her words might get scrambled and cause misunderstandings.
When she isn't out and about, In Suk can be found in her room. She's always trying to push the limits of her powers, which help her with her hobby of creating steampunk animals. Her ultimate goal is to create more living creations, ones which have more complexity than her only success up to date - a dragonfly. Tinkering eats up huge amounts of her time and attention. This is one of the few times when anybody will see In Suk perfectly focused on something.
Major Power : Clockwork Life Giver - In Suk has a gift for making clockwork and steampunk objects, from miniature sized animals to simple jewelry. In her hands, however, her creations can be imbued with qualities of life with the assistance of her minor power. For the most part, her creations only mimic having life but it is possible for her to make a true living creature, albeit with great difficulty. For that to occur, she would have to create an entire nervous system and organs for the creature with her minor power and then manage not to screw up the finished nerves while assembling the entire thing together. To date, she has only managed to make a single truly living creature, a dragonfly that accompanies her in her hair.
In all creations with some aspect of life, In Suk puts in a central core that has her magic trapped inside of it. This core usually has at least three layers -the inner one being glass, the middle one some kind of metal, and the outer one also glass. With the exception of the glass, she has to hammer out and melt down all of these parts on her own. The metal in the heart usually contains silver because In Suk has found that something about it simply feels right to her. So far, it has rarely failed her.
In creations that mimic life, every one of their behaviors has to be predetermined by In Suk during creation. If she wants to change a behavior pattern or add one, she'll have to take it apart and put it together again. In the process, she will also have to remake the heart completely and the materials that she previously used for the heart will no longer respond to her magic.
In creations that are actually alive, well. In Suk is still trying to figure out how exactly they function. It seems that these creations hold a level of intelligence equal to a human toddler but no more than that at this time. She has never taken apart a truly living creation but she assumes that doing so would be a terrible idea because of just how delicate their internal structures are.
Since this power is kind of expensive to dabble with, In Suk doesn't get to use it as often as she likes. Often, she goes dumpster diving in order to find parts for her creations and isn't shy about getting dirty for their sake. Often times, she finds herself broke trying to buy materials to experiment with.
Minor Power : Glass Weaver - In Suk is able to mold glass as easily as if it were clay or putty. She does have to be in contact with the glass in order to form it but it will not cut her no matter how sharp the shards are. In cooperation with her main power, she uses this glass in order to make the nervous systems of her creations. Those which mimic life do not require complete glass systems but they still need some level of realism. She cannot simply take a clump of glass and shove it into something and except it to work.
In Suk is also able to put magic into the glass that she works with, either to act as the living energy for her creations or simply to create colorful stained glass effects. If she wants to color glass the normal way, she can manage that in the same way that a baker would color fondant. However, she would also need to find the pigment on her own. She cannot handle molten glass.

Biography : In Suk was born to magical parents -her father could handle objects of any temperature without ill effect and her mother had minor healing powers. Both were very strict about how she used her own powers, partially because they didn't have the income to support her and also because they wanted to make sure that her creations wouldn't wander off an cause trouble. Because of this, In Suk was mostly limited to using her powers independently of each other and did not start making creations with qualities of life until her high school years.
In Suk kept all of her creations in the drawer of her desk back at home but inevitably, there came a day when one of those creations got out. The one that managed this was the living dragonfly she had created only days before. Unaware of its true level of intelligence, she had not trapped it well enough in her room and it ended up following her to school. Luckily, both of her parents worked there and were able to hide the dragonfly before too many people saw it. It took quite a bit of effort to find it, however, and her parents were worried about how intelligent it was in comparison to the others.
Paranoid about their family's powers becoming public, her parents did some roundabout asking around and eventually found an alumnae of Starlight Academy who was more than happy to refer her to the school.
Additional Information : In Suk typically carries around a phone that she uses to write things to people. She does know sign language but it's Korean sign language and thus doesn't help anybody. She also carries around an electronic dictionary because she does not know a lot of English.
