One little thing about being human was that it made it a lot harder to see where his feet were. In a place full of people and lacking in space, Alfredo struggled to keep track of how to walk, let alone make it all the way to where the food was.

Maybe he just wouldn’t get any lunch, he decided, quivering against the wall. It sounded a lot less terrifying. He didn’t have to eat that badly, did he? He could wait a few hours until it was quieter.

No! He had to do this. It was his right to have food! Alfredo made his way carefully towards where the food was being served, ears pressed against his head, little bits of garbage on the floor quickly moving out of the way. This was going to be okay – he was going to be okay –

This was about when he slipped on a wet patch on the floor and went sprawling into a table, knocking just about everything on it off. He clung to it, terrified, as things landed neatly around him, discarded trays of food landing neatly in a pile, and abandoned drinks not spilling a single drop. “Oh… oh gosh,” he mumbled. There were people looking at him now, and it was making him terribly upset, and most of his mind told him to hide under the table if only his legs would move.

God, if there is one thing Alice hated it was the cafeteria. She hated this place with a passion. It was so beneath a girl of her illustrious status. Walking into the place, she could not help but be filled with disgust. It was so dirty...so...low class. Of course, in all actuality it was a rather nice cafeteria, payed for by the lavish funds at Starlight' Academy. It has clean, well-kept counter tops and floors that while dirtied by students where cared for meticulously by the school's janitorial staff. The food serves while not gourmet by any stretch was healthy and prepared with high quality ingredients. Of course for somebody as spoiled as Alice that was hardly enough to change her opinions of the place. Miss Mordrake had expensive tastes, and the thought of dining in a place with "peasant food", hard benches and a big crowd of peers who where well below her status filled her with revulsion.

However, while the food and atmosphere was hardly fitting for her spoiled highness, she nevertheless sometimes went here. Not for the food...but for the REAL treasure of the cafeteria...the rumor mill. Indeed, loose lips and a buffet of gossip where a hallmark of the school's cafeteria, and this was of great use to miss Mordrake. Gossip did so much. It gave intel....and also helped Alice to know when her cover was in danger of being blown. So as much as she hated this place, she frequented it every once and a while to see what kind of gossip and rumors she could overhear.

However, what she was not expecting was to find a new student that could make a -lovely- new doll. As the blond girl entered the cafeteria, she immediately noticed Alfredo, the scared, out of place bunny boy. Alice herself had an affinity for bunnies as it was, so his appearance along was enough to draw her attention. She could clearly see the boy was nervous. He seems nervous..yes...he should be easy to make a doll. Alice thought to herself.

Soon, Alfredo's fears where realized, he slipped and caused quite a commotion, causing some most of the cafiteria to stop and stair, making the poor little bunny boy scared out of his wits. However, what Alice noticed was his power...he was able to..organize...things..? Or maybe there was something more? If he can bring order to a some food...I wonder...what could he do to a rebellious world? Maybe I should find out.. Alice thought to herself. Since he was scared, he waited for her opening in 3...2..1..

Laughter. Just as Alice had predected some doufus started laughing at Alfredo and then exclaimed! "Hey...look at the little scardey cat! Afraid of a wet floor!" before continuing to laugh along with a chours of other students joining in.

An ample oppertunity had presented itself as the princess forsaw, and now she was going to take it. Clearing her throat, Alice adressed the rest of the cafiteria with force and energy like the princess she was, barking out an order to the peasants before her.

"HEY! Stop laughing at the poor kid! Thats -not- cool. Can't you tell he's new and a nervous wreck The last thing he needs is you guys making his life miserable. Now, if you don't stop, I WILL bring in staff, and you can't hide because I've got you -recorded-. Alice said motioning to her music-player like device clutched in the arms of the tiny stuffed bunny clipped to her waist? Of course, after her statement, Alice mind-hacked the ring-leader of the laughing students, Of course, the hack happened so fast that Alfredo who was still frightened, nor the other students would be made aware of it.

"**** it! We don't want some teacher barging in...lets stop, everybody!" the mind-hacked student said and with that, everybody returned to their lunches. Alice walked over to Alfredo who was still scared and knelt down to his level with a friendly smile on her face.

"It's ok, they won't bother you anymore! You're ok, now! I'm sorry that had to happen to you...I can tell your new and really nervous. I'm Alice, by the way, and if you want I can show you somewhere to get food that's less...loud..and crowded...unless you want to stay here? Alice said to Alfredo in a happy and energetic yet even and calming tone. At the same time, her aura of trust was up, subtly working unseen to influence Alfredo to be more open to her...

Under the pressure of jeering and stress, Alfredo really did slump to the floor, shivering in the fetal position under the table in the hope that it would make everyone else go away.

It did. Or rather, some loud girl did, and there was a lot of yelling, and Alfredo wanted nothing to do with any of it. He clutched the leg of the table for some security and hoped it would end soon, not realizing in his fear the screws holding the table together had slowly begun to end up on the floor.

He looked up at a more gentle voice. The girl was rather close, now, and thus rather hard to see – he shrunk back instinctively, pulling the table leg back in the process, and everything came falling apart. Alfredo fell back properly, now, and the table clonked him right in the head, ending in the rather comical scene of his legs sticking out underneath the plastic. “U-uh, um…” Now he had a headache, too. He flailed a bit and pushed the table off of himself, then sat up and rubbed his head dizzily. There was a neat pile of screws by his side, though he hardly noticed them. “I… I guess… I guess that would be nice…”

He looked at her like she was his god-given saviour, and it was obvious he’d been suckered so hard he might well follow her to the ends of the earth.

Ryu's on break and I'm filling in for him this one time.

(On Loan) Alice Mordrake

Alice took one look at the bunny boy's face and happily came to the conclusion that she had yet another pawn ready to be eating out of the palm of her hand. Yeah, that's right! I'm just amazing like that on a regular basis. Everybody saw it eventually, when she was actually trying to project that image. It just usually took a little more time, and bunny boy's tissue paper thin self confidence immediately moved him higher up on Alice's list of people that she liked in the theoretical sense.

If he keeps this up, he could be a bunny overlord in no time. By which the girl meant that she might be willing to have him secure a small country or maybe a moon or something and act as her face. It was just a nice image to have -a perfectly sweet looking bunny boy ruthlessly ruling the masses in his naivety.

"Okay, then I'll lead the way, if you're all right with standing," Alice continued a soothing tone, with a genuine smile on her face. She was getting ahead of herself in her planning, of course, but still. A girl could dream. And it just so happened that this girl knew how to wring reality out of those dreams. She held out her hand, to help him out if she really needed to. "So, sorry, what's your name? I don't think I've seen you around."

“I think – I think I can stand.” Alfredo took the girl’s hand anyways, pulling himself up and looking behind him with a small frown. His head really hurt… “They – they’re not going to mind that I broke their table, are they?” He flinched at the very thought of someone yelling at him about it. Really, though, rather than “breaking” the table, it looked like somebody had meticulously taken it apart and set the various components into neat piles. It was like one of those Ikea tables before it had been put together, even.

“I’m – I’m Alfredo. Alfredo Summers. And uh, you?”

Sorry this is a little late. Ryu briefly took Alice back right after I posted and just yesterday gave her to me again.

Alice Mordrake

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that," Alice was quick to reassure the boy. If anybody actually cared about something so insignificant, she would just hack their mind so that they wouldn't. Or maybe it would be more satisfying just to see them fuming over it. Stupid people deserved having stupid things happen to them.

"See, you didn't even destroy it like lots of people would have. They can probably put it right back together." She cast an inspecting glance at the neatly organized piles of parts, making a careful note to herself that until this boy got his magic under wraps, she should not let him near anything particularly important. Like the entire SPECTER base.

"That's such an awesome power, though! It just seems so useful." She smiled, even though she was mentally grimacing at the thought of her base reduced to a heap of Tetris bits. The people and things inside of it didn't really matter but Alice just couldn't stomach the idea of anybody messing around with what was hers. She would rather nuke the place herself than let a person win it from her.

"Oh, I guess you didn't hear me earlier in the confusion. I'm Alice. It's very nice to meet you, Alfredo!" God, she wasn't sure whether she hoped that this boy was as dumb as he seemed or just under stress. Not that it mattered, she supposed. Dolls didn't need to think, after all. They were just pieces of decoration that she could easily lug around.

She kept up her friendly tone, though, cheering herself up with the promise of some awesome manga in the next universe over. She hadn't let go of Alfredo's hand, either, even though she really wanted to. But since she couldn't exactly put a leash on him right then and there, Alice used this in lieu of it, tugging him gently in the direction that she wanted to go.

"Come on, let's go and get that food I promised you. I swear, it's ten times better than what's served here anyways."

“Well… okay. As long as you’re sure.” Alfredo gave the girl a weak smile. He was feeling rather worse for wear, to be honest.

His eyes widened a little when she said his power was awesome. “Really? I mean, it’s kind of nice being able to clean things up quickly, but I wouldn’t say it was awesome or anything… I mean, everyone else seems to be able to blow things up and stuff. I can’t even defend myself… not that I have to, I hope.” He fidgeted at the thought.

“Did you already say?” He didn’t remember that. “Sorry. It’s nice to meet you too, Alice.”

Actually, none of this was very nice at all, and her pulling him around like this was making him a little nervous – but on the bright side she seemed to know what she was doing. “O-okay! Is it far?”

She giggled a little at the bunny boy's incredulity. "Don't worry about everybody else's powers," she told him. "It's not all about blowing stuff up and being loud. It's actually kind of silly, isn't it? Not to mention that's very violent and I don't see how that's constructive to society at all. Sure, those people might seem cool now while we're still in school, but what are they going to do with themselves after wards? They would completely destroy the element of secrecy if they continued doing the same things that they're doing now."

Until the day that she finally conquered this stupid planet, anyways. Then, magic would be able to run free -for a certain definition of the word. There were some harsh but not unreasonable restrictions that Alice would like to impose. Really, people should be thanking her for all of the things she did. I'm just so misunderstood, she thought with a mental sniff of indignity.

She headed for the door leading outside."It's kind of a distance but don't worry! We can get there super fast, I just don't want to do it in a place where everybody is staring." Feeling Alfredo tense under her grip, Alice let go of his wrist. He was following her now so there wasn't much reason for it anyways.

"Sorry, are you not okay with me touching you? If you're not comfortable with something, please tell me," she said earnestly. "I would hate to constantly be unknowingly putting you off."

Silly? She thought blowing things up was silly? Wasn’t she afraid? “I don’t... really know what you’re talking about, but I’ll try not to worry, I guess.” The element of secrecy, huh. People kept talking about it. Being weird was normal here, but everywhere else it wasn’t okay. But why was that, anyways?

They could get there super fast? ”Can you teleport or something?” he said hesitantly. Sure, it was a cool idea, but it was also kind of scary.

When she let go of his wrist he was both relieved and a little bit sad. Actually, it was kind of nice being led around. That way he couldn’t get lost. But he appreciated the gesture.

“It’s really okay,” he said, shaking his head. “I’m just not used to – anything, really.”

"Yep." She giggled girlishly and winked at him in reassurance. "Don't worry, it's completely safe! I made the teleporter myself so I can personally vouch for it. I use it all the time and haven't had a single accident in all of the years they've been running." Although, there had been a good number of planned incidents involving those same teleporters. But no accidents, nope. Not at all.

As they went outside, Alice looked around for an empty corner to activate her teleporter at. There was an occupied one nearby, with a group of students talking animatedly and showing no sign of leaving. She approached them anyways.

"Excuse me, can I use this corner for a moment?" Immediately, the girl mind hacked all of them to come up with some reason for why they no longer wanted to stay. "It'll only take a short amount of time, I promise."

One of the students in the group shrugged. "I need to be heading to class anyways," the mind hacked boy said. "Ms. Ekaterina is nice but her lessons go by kind of fast. I need to ask her some things about conjugations."

"Yeah, I have things to do, too," another agreed. "Meet up later?"

"Sure, sounds good. Send a text whenever."

Eventually, they all left, giving Alice a suitable place to open up a portal. She turned back to Alfredo and offered him her hand. "If you're ready, just take my hand and I'll get us over there."
