This was such a bad idea. Why had he even come here? After that incident with Levi in the dorms, Ty decided he needed to get out and get fresh air. Well, he had found his way to the park, and the air here was about as fresh as it came. He made a disgusted noise at himself. Why hadn't he chosen somewhere indoors? He was sunburned, uncomfortable, and starting to second-guess his sexuality.
Settling himself on a park bench, Ty folded his arms, leaning back against the backboard. His eyes closed briefly as his mind wandered back to the past few hours, the warmth building back in the pit of his stomach. Sitting up straighter, he furiously scolded himself for those thoughts again. He wasn't gay and if Levi tried that on him one more time, he would punch him even harder.

His face in his hands, Ty looked up uncertainly at the park. It was positively crawling with strangers, and he shuddered nervously. He hated being social, but if he wanted to feel like today was productive, he had to make at least one new aquaintance. Whether he liked them or not was irrelevant. Levi had told him that he needed to make new friends ...
He really needed to stop thinking of his roommate. Was it too late to switch roommates? Probably. Maybe if he got a girlfriend it would help...

Kyriakí̱ Geōrgíou Papadopoúlou

Kyriakí̱ always enjoyed having an opportunity to flaunt her effortless good looks and the park was a perfect setting for that. Some people might have said that looking beautiful was easy, but if Kyriakí̱ heard it, then she'd have to whack whoever it was over the head with a stick. Luckily for all those losers, she was self handicapped in that department and so was graciously showing mercy.

But seriously. For some inexplicable reason, almost everybody on Manta Carlos looked good. Maybe that was just the general trend with powers and irritatingly enough, the trend seemed to have skipped Greece over for one reason or another. It kind of rubbed her the wrong way but, hey! Beautiful people made beautiful scenery. If everybody had been ugly, it might not have even been worth looking decent.

Today was a study day, which meant a little bit of actual study, a little bit of drawing, and a whole lot of talking with random passerbys when she was bored. Which was often. Kyriakí̱ was bored right that moment, too. There was a half finished building design on her sketchpad for her classical architecture course and even though she had grown up around buildings like that, she just couldn't muster up the will to finish it up.

Tapping her pen in agitation, Kyriakí̱ deemed homework as a lost cause for the time and packed everything back into her canvas bag. Getting up from her position in the grass, she scanned at park for anybody interesting and almost immediately, her eyes fell on a boy sitting on a nearby bench. Oohh, now that's a piece of scenery I'd like to get to know. Most likely not in any romantic sense but at least his name.

Curiously, she approached the bench.

Ty bit the nail off his thumb, examining the park as he leaned forward on his knees. He needed to go on a date, that was it. He needed to go on a nice, quiet heterosexual date. Ideally, the girl would be pretty like he was, intelligent and small, with dark hair and horns mayb-- No.
Grumbling to himself, Ty perked up, watching an immensely beautiful woman striding towards him. There we go. He could meet a beautiful girl, sweep her off her feet, and immediately prove to himself and the world that he was absolutely not gay.

But wait — how was one supposed to even ask a girl out? He hadn't asked anyone out before, much less a girl. Hell, he hadn't even dated anyone before. However, he had watched a film where lots of girls were asked out. Drawing his muse from that film, Ty stood confidently, flashing the strange woman what he assumed was a charming smile. He wasn't actually used to smiling charmingly, much less smiling at all, and it came out as something as a strange grimace.
"Well. Hello, there. My name is Tyberius. We should ... Date."
He was trying so hard. Ty didn't really know what was going on, or if it was even working on the woman. Suddenly feeling awkward and frustrated, Ty realised again the exact reason he didn't date.

If Kyriakí̱ could raise her eyebrows, she would have. She hadn't even said a single word to the boy and he was already trying to get to first base. Wow. She wasn't sure whether to feel flattered, creeped out, or embarrassed. For him. There was something funny going on with his face and she wasn't sure whether or not she was supposed to be worried about that.

"Kyriakí̱," the woman introduced herself dryly. "Nice to meet you, Ty." Well, now what? Should she shoot him down or should she let him down gently? He wasn't a bad looking boy, quite the opposite actually, but that's exactly what he was. A boy. He was probably too young for her, not that Kyriakí̱ minded young. She preferred her men to be mature, however. Women, too. And as much as she appreciated forwardness, for all she knew, he could be working off some kind of bet.

"Don't you think it's a little strange to be asking a total stranger out on a date?" She decided to be nice on her rejection this time, just out of the goodness of her heart. Sometimes she liked reminding herself that she could be a good person when she wanted to.

"I mean, this is just so sudden." A flirtatious tone came into her voice, one that came instinctively even though she had put it firmly into her mind that if anything came out of this weird encounter, it wouldn't be romantic. "Not that I would mind getting to know you a little better but plenty of girls are the shy type, you know? They scare much more easily than I do."

Then, she showed him what a truly winning grin was, white teeth flashing alluringly. "So, what brought this on anyways? Guys don't exactly go up to random girls in a park for dates on a regular basis."

Taking it as a good sign that the woman had also introduced herself, Ty stood just that little bit straighter. Of course it was nice to meet him, there wasn't a single person in the world who's presence was better than his, and a cocky little smile touched his lips, replacing the horrible awkward expression. "Strange? No, of course not. " Now that he was getting a little more comfortable, the words flowed more easily. "Actually, I find it normal. You're attractive, I'm attractive, we should date. It's easy as that." Ty hadn't taken into consideration age, occupation or even species. All he knew is that once he managed to score a date with a girl, he would officially be definitely heterosexual. Well. His logic made sense in his mind, anyway.

Ty frowned at her next words. It was sudden, wasn't it. He couldn't simply launch into getting a girlfriend without the proper wooing practices. In instances like these, he wished he could be a bug. Dance a quick mating ritual for the female and stab your penis into her exoskeleton. No strings attached and no questioning your sexuality. "It is sudden, I apologise. I was just so awestruck by your beauty. " His voice dropped into a low purr, subconsciously mimicking Levi. What he had learned about flirting so far had all come from Levi, and it was definitely starting to show.

"I have no time for timid girls. If they are afraid, then it is better that they run." Though, if he was in a foul mood enough he probably wouldn't even let them run, opting to trap them into a date. "I am ... On a hunt for a date. Must be female." May as well be forward about it, he would get nowhere trying to explain the why. Not to mention that would probably take far too much time. Time that could easily be spent dating.

Kyriakí̱ Geōrgíou Papadopoúlou

Oh, now that's much better. That cocky expression fit Ty's face far better than that whatever it had been before. Kyriakí̱ had to admit that she was a little impressed with how his rigidness suddenly seemed to melt away, too. Evidently, he had been practicing. Or maybe he was just a natural at it, but she doubted that one simply because if he had been, then why was he trying to pick up random girls in a park? They should have been hanging off him already. Maybe he's newly single and trying to make an impression on the ex.

Either way, Kyriakí̱ always enjoyed a good compliment. True, they all tended to run together after a while but that didn't mean she wasn't allowed to still savor them. "Now, flattery won't get you anywhere on its own," she said laughingly, in a way that suggested flattery still took somebody pretty darn far with her. "I always did like a take charge kind of man, though, so points to you on that."

"Hunt? You make it sound so exciting when you put it like that. I approve. Greatly." After all, wasn't that what mantises did? The notion was just so primal that it resonated well with Kyriakí̱. I think I might actually become fond of this boy. Again, not necessarily in the romantic sense but he was interesting.

"So what will you do if this female walks away?" It was a good thing that he was taller than her. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to pull off that flirtatious, peering up from behind her eyelashes look. "Would you chase me or would you go after some slower prey?"

His confidence boosted considerably as the woman slowly began to respond better. She seemed to be getting into it, and Ty immediately attributed that to his prowess in love. Obviously, he was irresistable to the ladies. Why he hadn't done this sooner was beyond him. Flashing his teeth in a sly smile, Ty sidled up just that little bit closer. "It's even more exciting when they run." He definitely hadn't been born into the secondary shape of a prey animal, and even in his human form he retained some of the instincts his bird ancestors passed down to him.

"Are you planning on running?" Tyberius quirked one eyebrow upwards, suddenly interested by the prospect of a chase. Of course he wouldn't let this one get away from him now, she had already started flirting and he would sit on her before he let her go. "I will chase you down and ...persuade you to date me." His expression burned with intensity as he studied the older woman's face, possessed by the desire to immediately kiss her and sweep her away. Of course, that act would no doubt get him slapped, and Tyberius refrained. "The sun uh... Uhm... Makes you look like a goddess." That sounded like an appropriate comment a woman would appreciate.

Kyriakí̱ let just a hint of something predatory slip into her smile and didn't move away as Ty slipped closer. "Oh good," she all but purred, leaning lightly against him. "Here I was, ready to get all hot and worked up over something, and you just go ahead and deliver the exact answer I wanted to hear. You have no idea how disappointing it is to have a man come on so strongly, only to have it turn out that he'd rather go after some silly geese instead."

At his newest compliment, she had to laugh, because it was so ridiculous but also because she couldn't help but be genuinely pleased by it at the same time. Oh, boy, what am I getting myself into? Interesting things, exciting things. It wasn't often that somebody like Ty dropped by her life, not with that kind of intense expression. Despite herself, Kyriakí̱ was starting to feel rather attracted by it all, although she also was reassessing her previous observations.

"We should really talk about your pick up lines someday," she said laughingly, without any traces of mockery. "Maybe today, if you know any good places we could go to. It seems a little like this is your first time trying something like this, huh?"

He felt like he was almost evenly matched with this woman. She seemed to be taking his advances rather well, and he couldn't help but enjoy it all the more. Tyberius knew where she was coming from, though. He despised the frilly, giggly creatures that couldn't even reply to a comment. Their stupid fat faces flushing with pleasure at each word. Useless pigs, all of them. "That's a good idea, would you like to come out on a date and practice said pick up lines?" Ty carefully ignored the last comment about this being his first time. He knew he was probably being way too obvious, but he hadn't thought he was that obvious.

Dropping into a sweeping bow, Ty offered out his arm for her to take. Being tall definitely had it's advantages in moments like these. A shorter man probably would be struggling right now to try to take control of the situation. Or so he preferred to imagine. Obviously he was the absolute master at seducing women, and immediately thought to tell this to Levi, right before remembering that he wasn't speaking to Levi anymore. And was going to absolutely keep it that way. "I know a nice little cafe down the way, if you're not too busy."

"Oh, I don't know," Kyriakí̱ said, sighing in faux indecisiveness. "I'm not really looking for a relationship right now. As we all know, academics are just so important. Wouldn't want any distractions to get in the way of things." But saying that in such a breathy way really made it seem like an obvious tease. Which it absolutely was, no mistake should be made about that. I suppose it's been a while since I've been on a date anyways. So, about a week maybe.

Since it was about the time when she needed to get another ego booster anyways, she took his arm with a light chuckle and a charming smile. "Luckily for you, I'm never too busy for such a polite gentleman." Especially one cut from a slightly different cloth than the rest. It wasn't often she came across somebody new to the dating scene and she had to admit that she honestly wanted to see what he would do.

"Really, though, you should tell me a bit about yourself," she said in a joking manner. "I need to have some idea of who I'm talking with right now. As much as I like a man of mystery, our conversations won't go very far if that keeps up. "
