“Well, I already’ve grown some tropical plants, and that’s kinda tricky, considering that I’m like zero degrees Cel—“

It took Fenn far too long to realize that the angel-man hadn’t rattled off an exotic plant, but something else entirely. The fae jolted. His antennae bobbed up, as if searching for suspicious smells. “Hu...mans?” he reiterated. “You uh, one of those man-eater guys?”

Please don’t eat me, for I am small, and not very good with ketchup.

As far as Fenn knew, humans were only “grown” the… er… one way. But this guy made it sound as if you could raise one right out of the ground, like a little sapling. Dryads, nature spirits, maybe. But humans? It was an interesting image, to be sure.

“Okay, so, you’ve piqued my interest. First things first; how the fuck were you planning on doing it in the first place?”

Throne Lisianthus

Lisianthus blinked blankly, train of thought running quite differently from the fae's. "Firstly, one must procure a young human," he mused. "But I hear that humans are very much jealous of their own. Perhaps if I were to create one myself? Ah, but the creation of life is the domain of the Father." He thought to himself for a time. "His kingdom is that of souls. If one were produced without souls, however, that may circumvent any difficulties."

"I suppose," he said after a while, "one could take the necessary parts and see if they sprout roots. The Father, after all, did create Eve, a full human, from a rib bone. While such a thing would be more difficult, even impossible for me, I do not see why using even more parts and time should not make it possible."

This was getting into biblical territory again — which he still only understood so much of — but Fenn definitely understood that there was something super weird about this. He might've told the guy that a pile of body parts didn't make a tree. He hesitated when he remembered that this was Manta Carlos they were living in, where terrifying magics wandered the streets without getting much more than a second glance. People could probably be grown out of trees.

"I mean... I guess soulless fleshstuff'd be a good thing for all the actual man-eater folks who live around here? Don't pretend to know how the industry works. Where, uh, would you get the bodybits for that kinda stuff anyway, though, if I got this right?"
