Private Finished Falling and Fallen

Any doubt regarding what was going on vanished with her answer and was replaced with a huge amount of guilt. "I'm so sorry....," he'd say, his breathing becoming a bit shaky. "You're......you're from the outpost are by you?" he guessed she was treated poorly like he was.

"What was done up there...how some were treated," he'd of course done none of it, he was actually one of the victims, but he still felt guilt over what his parents did. "I'm so sorry."

Lunch? She was suggesting they get lunch, that wasn't what he'd been expecting. He'd been expecting her to hate him, and he wouldn't have blamed her if she did. "I.....," there was a lot she may not know, like how the outpost was gone, how few survivors there seemed to be.

"Ok, lunch sounds good," he wasn't sure if he'd have much of an appetite but it'd give them a chance to talk. "Lunch room?" this conversation could become emotional all things considered, "we should.....maybe go somewhere more private actually."

"There's a small diner nearby we could go to, I'll pay," he didn't mind paying, especially given the circumstances.

Hadrian had no intention of letting her pay but he'd drop that for now. Leading her out of the school there make their way to the small diner, taking a seat in a corner of the shop.

"Ok..uh...," he'd take a breath, "a lot has happened....gods so much." He'd rub the back of his head, they'd ordered and now had a bit of privacy. "It's...not easy to talk about and...won't be easy for you to hear."

"How long since you've been back to the outpost?" he had a feeling that it'd been some time, he guessed she didn't know about the outpost being destroyed.

"I'm sorry, they were all so combat focused, didn't like it when angels weren't fighters," he'd sigh a bit, "I'm not combative at all so....I wasn't popular either." Being the son of the archangels hadn't shielded him from the hatred, if anything it'd made it worse.

He'd look at her, "I'm sorry...but...the outpost...it's gone," this was hard, the anniversary had just passed, he was still dealing with deep depression. "The shadow demons they...they finally got through...destroyed it all."

"I don't know.....it all happened so fast," he remembered the screaming, the sounds of combat. "Me...me and my sister, we escaped just as it fell, we ended up here on Earth," they'd been lucky, the outposts of location could have made them end up anywhere in reality.

He'd look at her in surprise, he hadn't expected her to ask how he was, he expected her to hate him like Ishvi did. "I'm ok...," he lied, and he was bad at lying, "it's....the anniversary of it all was a few weeks ago...but I'm ok," he was very much not ok.
