It was probably for the best that somebody was taking charge of the situation, because the only thing Anh Sang could think of doing was going out and getting more mermaids. Getting, not killing, because the idea was still something distant and strange even if she was standing right next to a pile of bodies.
She pouted a little when she was told to go back inside. Hadn't he just said that she had done well? That was totally proof that she was fine staying out and beating up bad guys! Or, thinking of how few people had really followed her out of the building in the first place, maybe he was taking that as a sign that they were all weak? The thought came to her that maybe the man wanted her back inside to protect everybody else, something that Anh Sang felt loads better about.
"Okay! I'll make sure everybody's fine in there, then!" She said, happy to be of help.
As the storms rumbled from nearby, she made her way back into the partially flooded school.
