Appearance Description:
Personality Description: Eve had once been a gentle soul, and while she still is, she rarely allows people close enough-- both emotionally and physically-- to see her more softer sides. She purposefully acts sardonic and sarcastic, even a little morbid, so people will leave her alone and their emotions won’t confuse her own, making her constantly wonder if the emotions felt are her own, or someone else’s. It really doesn't help that she had a fear of trusting others, a side-effect from her childhood. Still, she’s quite the perceptive person and can usually correctly guess what someone’s feeling. This often gets her in trouble, as she’ll say it aloud with seemingly no tact at all, further alienating herself from those around her. If you do manage to befriend her and earn her trust, an extremely difficult thing to do and a rare occurrence in itself, you'll see that it's a priceless thing and that she'll go to the ends of the earth for her friends-- she's got so few of them, after all.

Biography:
Trigger Warning: Mentions of alcohol addiction, child abuse, spousal abuse, suicide
Eve was born to a city couple that hadn't been expecting or planning on a child. Regardless, she was loved and well taken care of-- at least, for the first seven years of her life.
A few weeks after her seventh birthday, her empathy started to develop. She picked up on every emotion someone she had touched felt, even the ones she was too young to understand. From her mother, she felt a bitter sadness underlying the calm happiness, and from her father, she felt the conflicted emotions brought on by the battle of his alcohol addiction. She felt his inner turmoil, and it frightened her; she naturally refused to hug her father anyone, or even be in the same room as him.
This sudden switch in her previously sweet disposition caused a lot of confusion, as well as a sense of betrayal from her father. After all, she wasn't rejecting her mother like that, only him. Why? Why only him?
He had loved his daughter, as much as a surprise her birth had been, and was rather hurt. Unfortunately, this seemed to be the catalyst for the reemergence of his alcohol addiction, and he drowned his sorrows and feelings of betrayal in alcohol.
Everything went downhill from there.
He grew abusive, more than he had been even before Eve had been born, before he had started trying to fight his addiction for his newborn child. Both Eve and her mother endured the abuse-- both physical and mental-- for the better part of six years, until around Eve's 13th birthday.
By that time, she had begun finding herself and her identity, as all kids do as they grow into teens, and the bursts of intoxicated rage she was forced to sense every time her father hit or slapped her merely added to the hormonal, emotional wreck she had become back then. One day, she snapped, and, purposefully using her empathy for the first time, made her father stop. Of course, to the untrained, inexperienced empath, the overload of emotional command was a bit too much and it drove her father to suicide.
The almost firework-like flare of power from Eve prompted an invitation to Starlight Academy, though in her then precarious mental state, she temporarily declined until she felt ready to attend. No less than four years later, she finally decided that it was time, and, after ensuring to write to her mother-- who had fought tooth and nail to rebuild her life and was the only person Even trusts implicitly-- every week, she packed up her things and boarded the boat.

Powers:
- Stronger power: Touch empathy. All the abilities of an empath empowered and controlled through touch/skin-to-skin contact.
- Weaker power: Mind blast. When unable to control her power, she will end up overloading both her own mind and the mind of the person she's in contact with. This will usually result in loss of consciousness for several hours and disorientation when finally awake.
- Strengths: When she bothers to let her barriers down, Eve is an extremely perceptive person, even without touch. When she does actually use her empathy, she is able to calm, soothe, elate, or even enrage someone just with a simple touch. This makes is quite easy to have people react to things the way she wants them to-- something she's terribly wary to try again-- or the way they should if something's mentally wrong with them.
- Weaknesses: She's afraid of her own power, which only adds to the difficulties she has in controlling it. She tries to cool herself down and act icy and cold because she's never had the chance to sort out her own emotions after constantly picking up on the emotions of everyone she's been in contact with. However, her uncertainty simply fuels the cycle of failure and lack of control, which then frustrates her and causes her to second guess herself, adding further to the now vicious cycle.
