Elias likes to fight. He isn't so much interested in hurting people or, God forbid, actually killing them. He's just that sort of adrenaline junkie who gets his kicks from mutually punching people in the face. But not girls. That's against the code. In the face, anyways. Punching girls in general is still okay. Ever since that he arrived at Manta Carlos, Elias has been embracing the variety of fights that is now available to him. He really enjoys seeing what people are capable of and will challenge complete strangers to fights on a whim, doing his best to convince them that it's a good idea. After all, he's not there trying to get anybody hurt. It's just a sport to him.
That said, Elias is mostly a nice guy who is pretty much eternally cheerful. For all of his blood knight tendencies, he is actually somewhat soft spoken and polite to people when he's not being pushy about fights. When he's done fighting somebody, he'll often help them clean up and get injuries looked over. Even though he would really prefer to be doing it all the time, he's okay with somebody just fighting him once. That's all he needs, really.
Powers
Discovered when: tba
Discovered how: tba
How/Why they have it: The Ventura family has a long history with fairy godmothers who tend to grant various members of the family powers at birth. These powers normally mature at age fourteen, when the fairy godmother finally makes herself known.
Forced Beneficence - In Elias's hands, any object intended to be used as a weapon is automatically rendered completely harmless for the entire period that he is in contact with it and or using it. Guns will still fire and he is still free to swing melee weapons as he pleases. However, they will all bounce off of their targets without causing any damage at all. This occurs against both the living and non living and also affects much larger weapons that fire by triggers, such as nukes. Not that he knows that but the point is, as long as he identifies something in his head as a weapon or as the initiator for a weapon, it will never cause any harm if he chooses to use it. This extends to weapon emissions, such as radiation, heat, electricity, chemicals.
If he really wants to get into a fight with somebody to actually hurt them, he has to use his fists because they're the only thing that isn't rendered totally useless. In addition, though this power will prevent Elias from harming himself, it will not protect him against other people's weapons. He has figured out through numerous fights that yes, knives hurt a lot and so do bullets. Meanwhile, everybody that he attacks with a weapon don't even feel pain at all. Wonderful.
One perk of his power, however, is that any weapon that Elias holds also becomes imbued with healing magic for as long as he is in contact with it and or using it. To heal somebody, he simply has to attack them. If he is using a gun, he must shoot the area that he is trying to heal. If he is using a sword, he must cut the area. In both cases, the weapon or projectile will pass through the flesh completely, unless they hit a bone, which will cause them to bounce back out. But in either case, healing will be done. It's more painful if he strikes a bone, though, which will happen often because once Elias attacks something with a weapon, he must either pass all the way through with it or keep going until it bounces off bone. Most people who Elias attacks can easily tell if they're being healed or not because healing hurts and merely getting hit doesn't.
Elias is capable of healing serious wounds perfectly with his power and it's even effective on himself but the problem is that his healing powers seem to based off feelings of passion. He has to really be caught up in the heat of the moment for the healing to initiate and that rarely occurs outside of whenever he's in a really good fight. Otherwise, he's stuck with a totally useless weapon. This means that he is also usually incapable of healing himself after he's been in a fight.
His power is also really lame for everyday tasks. Elias cannot cut paper, staple things together, or do most home improvement projects. Grass also does not bend under his feet when he wears shoes.

Childhood : Elias was born the eldest child of a middle class Portuguese family who had moved to Australia a few short years earlier. His early life was average and full of happiness, with his parents and grandparents all under the same roof. After his sisters were born, the household was even more lively than before but no less content. Even when times became a bit rougher for other people, it seemed like the Venturas always managed to get the longer end of the stick.
However, outside of the house, things weren't going that well. Academically, Elias's grades were falling as he struggled to keep up with the pace of his lessons. He always preferred playing outside on his own to doing homework and often kept late hours to try and see the stars in the key with poorly crafted telescopes he had made on his own. Therefore in addition to not being particularly smart, he also had a messy appearance whenever people saw him. It wasn't until he was thirteen or so when the bullying really started but little, somewhat ignore-able incidents had been leading up to it for several years before that point. Never having had many friends at school anyways, Elias simply tried to put up with it.
Ignoring things became easier with the two drugs that are the blood of every student's life -firstly, the internet and secondly, videogames. The two of those combined took up all of Elias's spare attention and they taught him a very important lesson. If you beat up somebody but were really nice about it before and after the fact, then they will probably become your friend. Elias liked that lesson a lot.
With a new purpose in mind, Elias began studying for real. Fighting, that was. Through videogames, anime, and low budget Chinese martial arts movies because otherwise, he'd have to tell his parents what he was actually doing with his time. As much as he loved them, he just didn't want to worry them too much over the situation. Elias was convinced that he was handling it just fine on his own. Instead of star watching, he began practicing in his room late at night and ran laps like crazy during the day.
Teenage Years : Eventually, Elias became confident enough in his own abilities that he straight up challenged one of the other students to a fight after school. He won, barely, but the other boy still hated him. Wondering what had gone wrong, Elias continued to challenge people to fights until somebody would give in, just like in his videogames. The only thing that did work like some videogames was that sometimes, the people he fought would walk away without injury when he was sure that he had at least given them a nice bruise with a makeshift boxing glove. He could rarely say the same for himself but it was always a nice surprise to not be hurting after a fight.
On the night of his birthday, just he was about to go to bed, a beam of light shot through his bedroom window as his family's fairy godmother finally revealed herself to him. Elias's first reaction was that no, there was no way in hell that there was something like that watching over them. For one, it sounded like he was part of some bad fairy tale. For another, think of all the embarrassing things that he had been doing when he thought he was alone that she had probably seen. He was so mortified that he promptly threw her back out the window before thinking of how rude he was and letting her back in. The fairy, however, was so displeased that she refused to come back in and left.
But that didn't mean things went back to normal. On the contrary, he soon found that he was unable to do simple tasks like prepare food or use a fork and knife. His grades fell slightly as teachers complained about how he never stapled his papers together anymore and thus caused them to lose pages of his homework. It was a pretty awful time.
After one of the weirdest and most ineffective months in his entire life, Elias managed to get the fairy to come back with a heartfelt apology beginning with Sorry, I mean, um. You know, in Legend of Zelda- But after learning that the fairy had little knowledge of videogames, Elias immediately offered to show her some and as a result, both made a mutual agreement to never say the words HEY LISTEN HEY LISTEN in that order ever again. Once bridges had been mended, the fairy told Elias that the flaw in his whole "beat up people so they'll be my friend" plan was that he wasn't considering other people's feelings at all. And also that he was picking the wrong crowd for that. She made an offhanded remark that she was surprised "the Academy" hadn't sent him a letter yet, which resulted in a very long explanation of the supernatural and his own powers, which he had automatically fully grown into just a month before. Because magic was silly like that
Upon hearing everything, Elias was filled with a mixture of elation and you've got to be kidding me, seriously, I can't even kill a mosquito? Even though he wanted to go right away, the fairy wouldn't let him because she felt that as a fairy godmother, she had to make sure that the people she referred were nice, polite, and to be totally honest, not an eyesore. The two of them made a deal, then, that the fairy would teach Elias to act like a respectable young man -minus the whole fighting thing because that actually amused her a bit- and when she thought he wouldn't be an embarrassment to her, she would take him to the island herself.
Though it took a few years -and a bit of arguing with overprotective parents, grandparents, and adoring younger sisters who had learned how to make convincing crocodile tears- Elias eventually succeeded at the task that the fairy had given him. Thus, he was sent to Starlight Academy just a week after his nineteenth birthday.
Additional Information : Whenever Elias starts a thread with a new person, he will fight that person. Note that he won't always fight to win, especially against younger students, girls, and the really quiet types. He just likes to fight different people.
