“A trial ey? Wonderful, absolutely wonderful!” He laughed loudly, leaning forwards, “I’m always up for a little betting. Though I’d ask it doesn’t involve destroying my house or possessions.” Gulliver said, although he doubted they would have in the first place.

“Value is something you determine for yourself. A dollar is only worth anything because people decided it was valuable. Similarly, what one may consider oneself worth may be different from what someone else sees.” He replied to Loralai’s question, “I have a feeling you may be underestimating your value.” He said, taking a sip of wine and glancing at the well dressed woman. Certainly, they were worth a lot naturally, but the fact that there were only the six of them caught Gulliver’s collectors eye. Pacting with one of them was already impressive, if he were able to snag another one however, it would certainly be worth the cost. There was also the matter of company. There were few people the being of greed spent time with as peers, something that could make living even in a place like this somewhat dull. A few new faces would liven the place up for sure.

“So about this game of yours, do you have anything in mind? I may hate to lose, but I wouldn’t go back on a bet. You win and you each win a million dollars. I win and we pact. No catches.” Gulliver smiled, looking straight into Loralai’s eyes. “I’m intrigued to see what you come up with.”

Loralai Lovage Merriweather

"I didn't really have much in mind," Loralai admitted. "Admittedly it would be something that takes patience and skill rather than luck. But at the same time, depending on luck would be faster, wouldn't it?" She thought on the issue for a while.

Meanwhile Estelle cleared her throat delicately. "If I may," the young lady said. "Cornelius, would you please create our pact now? I would rather have this done as soon as possible before it can be forgotten."

Cornelius blinked at her slowly. "Oh, I suppose if you're sure," he said. "Sir Gulliver, are you prepared?"

“Of course I’m prepared! I’m as excited as a kid on christmas morning! Let's get this show on the road!” Gulliver laughed, rubbing his hands together. “Here’s to a productive future!” He held up another glass of wine that had been poured while he had chatted.

“I’m up for anything truthfully, skill or luck, it matters little. So long as there is something to be won, I’m in.” He sipped the drink in his hand, glancing towards Loralai.

Aslan Solak

"Maybe you should just leave her be," Aslan suggested to Gulliver, with a glance at Loralai. "You've already got one. It's a bit rude to take two at once, isn't it?" Humans as a rule were untrustworthy. But this? Inhuman entities with far too much money and time on their hands? That was so much worse.

Cornelius was already waving him off with that irritating absent look at his face. "Loralai can do as she wants," he said serenely. "In any case, Estelle?" At the sound of her name, the young lady straightened.

In the resulting light, Aslan grimaced, looking away as the pact was formed.
