Its cool Emy XD Outside the Cbox ive been absent from the site lately. This may be the only thread Ive been able to work up a reply for in a month or two x.x

This kid... What is his deal? What, do skeletons target thieves now?
Lance glanced around for a moment before pushing out a quick burst of speed to grab the kid, darting into an ally with him in tow. The space was wide enough for the two to fit while standing sideways, just shy of enough room to stand the other way.
"This spot ideal, kid? Mind explaining? At this point you could literally start anywhere..."

An Nam Il

Once they were relatively safe, Nam Il kind of immediately started looking for an escape route. Just out of habit. It wouldn't have been smart to actually flee seeing as, well. Giant flesh-eating skeleton. The fidgeting made him feel a little better, though. Not by much but still.

"Uh, this happens a lot to me?" He said. "My family is literally cursed with this sort of thing?" It was sort of an unofficial maybe curse with something like thousands of years of coincidences to back it up but whatever. "It's okay, the gashadokuro will go away soon. It's not midnight yet so it's not really strong. You can tell because it's waaay shorter and slower than usual."

Lance tilted his head at the fidgeting boy, and soon nodded at the explanation.
"I see... Thats unfortunate. Is that why you were in that building? Hiding from these things?" He asked as he looked around the corner for this monstrosity. Not yet seeing it, he checked his phone for the time.
"So it'll be weaker before midnight, right?" He thought out loud. Lance had a smirk on his face, having already committed to his next decision.

"Er, well, yeah," Nam Il said, awkwardly latching onto the excuse. "You know, it's just way easier for a spirit to catch you out in the open instead of a tiny shop. When stuff like that follows you around all the time, you learn to be a bit sneaky just by default so you don't run into any issues." It wasn't like that was a complete lie anyways. He really had been doing things to make sure he wouldn't attract more spirits -by trying to see if he could take a few solidly out of the running. He hadn't found any proof yet that his target was involved with malicious spirits but he was still certain that something was not quite right.

It seemed like the other person was becoming a bit pre-occupied with something else, however. Nam Il's brain hiccuped for a moment as he processed the question. "Um, dude, you're not going to do what I think you're going to do, right?"

Lance glanced at the boy.
"Well, this thing is gonna hurt people right?" He asked, taking a step back out.
"Even if we hid from it, it's still here... So..." Lance held his hand out to the side and called out confidently.
"Adsero!"
As he spoke, light shone brightly from his hand, and a sword appeared there. The sword appeared as a single edged broad sword of an odd design.

Oh shit. Contrary to popular belief, being part of a family that was deeply tied in with the supernatural did not mean that a person actually knew how to engage in combat with said supernaturals. Nam Il's options in this scenario were the following: 1) run like hell, 2) go hide in a nice ditch somewhere, 3) eh it'll probably go away eventually, and 4) somebody will probably get rid of it soon anyways. That the was downside to living with demon hunting parents. No initiative to actually learn how to fight the things off if somebody else was going to annihilate them before they even came within view of you.

"Go for the knees!" Nam Il shouted, still taking cover in the hiding place. "Try and separate the bones from each other! These things can't actually be destroyed, just weakened to the point where they can't manifest!"

Lance smirked and nodded. "Got it."
He stood by, twirling the sword in hand for a bit. This shape was new. Light but sturdy feeling, though a little short for his taste. He took a few steps back in the direction they had come, ready to charge the pursuing demon when it appeared. Standing there, he seemed to have no fear. No hesitation or thoughts of retreat. It was as if he decided he would do this, and for him, it was as simple as that.

A strange feeling came over Nam Il then. Oh wow, he thought with strange detachment. I am... really useless, huh? It was actually amazing how that conclusion came over him, almost earth-shattering and leaving him in a state of semi-awe. Wow, Nam Il thought, I suck.

Which is why he needed practice and why it was completely logical for him to be summoning random things by accident. Theoretically speaking, there was absolutely no reason for why he kept attracting the really violent spirits -seeing as this was Manta Carlos, there weren't supposed to be many anyways. Nam Il concluded then that maybe he was just having a streak of bad luck. Maybe next time wouldn't be so bad?

And then he remembered exactly what family he belonged to and winced. Oh, yeah, maybe not. Yuuto's probably going to murder me.

The boy grimaced as the ringing in his ears increased and scrambled for relatively safety behind a dumpster as the gashadokuro's lunged back into view.

The instant the monster came into view, Lance took off at it like a bullet out of a gun, his sword held out to the side. When he got about half way to it, he started dragging the blade along the ground, making sparks and drawing the creatures attention.

8'( Sorry, I know you've been waiting for a really long time. My muse did sort of go extinct on Nam Il. I'll try and start wrapping this up. You can post again if you'd like or just let it fade to black with the assumption that Lance managed to drive the thing away.

An Nam Il

The helplessness was the worst part of it, not to mention the fact that this was a reoccurring situation for him. This is the last time for sure! Nam Il thought to himself, teeth chattering a bit in fear as the sounds of battle continued around him. Definitely, absolutely, last time forever, he swore.

It was a nice thought but there was also the faint idea in the back of his mind that it was probably a lie. In any case, it wasn't helping at all, so he ducked back down in his hiding spot and waited for the entire thing to blow over. Again.
