Conflict of Interest (Body Swap)

"Mochi. It's nice to meet you."

In probably the weirdest way possible. She was unaware of Eros's attraction powers, but she did feel an odd energy radiate from his being. She couldn't really do anything about it because she had no grasp of what this body could do or how his powers worked. He separated himself from her as he let go and stepped back. Jouka smirked as the hug concluded.

"You kids can kiss and get all romantic later. Preferably when you're not borrowing each other's bodies. Now let's start before I get hungry. Didn't you mention something about a purple mist?"

"Oh, yeah! Did you see some...um, weird purple stuff before you were in my body?"

That would've been a good place to start if only they knew the source of it. It had to have come from somewhere around here; generally smoke doesn't suddenly show up on its own, especially smoke of such an odd color. From the sounds of it, magic was involved, but she knew very little about magic or how it worked. Spells were not in her knowledge base. She attempted to have an inner conversation with Jouka only to remember that Jouka was not on this body. His cheeks sheepishly blushed as he attempted to articulate his thoughts aloud.

"I guess it's...magic? Haha, um, yeah. I don't know much about that. I just know I have a mouth on my head and can use my hair like extra hands."

His eyes spotted the map on the ground. He kneel down to pick up the map and stared at it for a moment. He expected his hair to move and pick it up before facepalming and picking it up himself. He stood back up and began to fold it back up.

They switched bodies!!

How did this happen? What was that purple haze? What's going on? Why did we switch bodies!?

Rosetta started to breathe very heavily; she was freaking out. This couldn't be happening. She was stuck in June's body!

"Rosetta...? That is you... right? I need you to calm down and stay put..."

What...what does he mean by that? Calm down? How the hell am I supposed to be calm? He's in my body!

Rosetta then started to feel a weird feeling...like a craving.

What the hell is going on!?

"Wait what?" Vlads voice was cut off as she spotted the spider in her body's hand and a few blinks later the sound of a body hitting the floor heavily is heard.

This was going to be a little hard to fix, June thought. Okay, alright. He needs to assure her things first before he goes off and tell her that 'hey Rosetta, sweetheart, now that you're in my body, you're gonna have to put up keeping your energy draining in check because I have a vague theory that it might kill people and I don't actually want that happening on my watch'. Or something along that line.

The first problem was that they switched bodies. June put a hand on his cheeck. Hum, her skin was really soft, she must take really good care of it. He shook his head slightly . That's not the issue here.

"Alright, Rosetta, right now, we switched bodies. Our main priority right now is keeping you in check because I don't want you getting stressed out. I-- I mean... my body has some... volatile things going on and you're going to need to keep yourself together."

This was going to be a very long talk and it would take longer if Rosetta looked as panicked like she was right now. Which is weird because the last time June saw himself in a bad shape like that was when he was 16 and extremely depressed to a point of suic-- okay, that was not relevant to now.

Focus. "Rosetta, look, don't panic, don't think about anything bad, alright?" What could be the things she's worrying about? It took a moment before he spoke again. June held Rosetta's face (which was his own face) with both hands so she'd face him (as in, Rosetta's own face). Seriously, this was weird but thank you minimal height differences.

"Rosetta, I'm not going to put your body in any harm or danger, alright? But right now, you're in mine and I don't know what kind of damage I — by that I mean you — can do if you lose it so I need you to be composed. Don't think of anything that can stress you out." It was a very good thing his hypnosis ability was something he learned or else this would have been pretty dangerous to do.

"Is it really funny?"

"Well, it is funny, but I think I'm mostly just nervous," Lochlann said, glancing at her. At himself. "I don't trust magic, which is clearly involved somehow, and I am just hoping this is the only side effect....and that it only happens once. I don't want to find myself suddenly in a stranger's body, too."

He had to hurry to keep up with Addy, because he was used to having longer strides, and suddenly that was hard. But it was also invigorating, because he wasn't limping, and Lochlann skipped once, just because he could, and stifled another giggle.

God he was nervous.

"So this is why you always drink?"

"Well...yeah, actually," Lochlann said, shrugging. He didn't want to tell her too much, but he really needed her to keep it together inside him. "Consider is an unfortunate side-effect and alcohol is the medication to treat it."

He looked over--and then up-- at himself/Addy again.

"I'm sorry you're stuck in me like that," he said. "I wouldn't wish that on anyone."

He was leading them down the hall where he thought Vlad's necromancy classroom was and was surprised to feel a pat on his head. It didn't feel the same way as it did when he was in his own body, and he looked up.

"Wow I didn't realize I'm this small," "Suffer my lack of height,"

"Hey!" Lochlann said. "You can't just...you can't just go around! Enjoying being tall! You have to try and look brooding and mysterious at all times. It's sexy or something, I think. Maybe. I don't know. Gah Addy I'm going to buy you heels or something just so I can see."

"So, got any ideas?"

"Actually I do," Lochlann said. Because he wasn't soaked in alcohol, he was able to think pretty clearly. "I need to find my....uhhh...roommate, I guess. Her name is Vlad. She's a powerful mage, she might be able to reverse this."

He was getting tired of trying to see all the room numbers so he just shouted, his voice high and cute, "VLAAAADDDD!"

The pats continued coming. It was Adelene's turn to tease Lochlann about height, and even though she was feeling terrible, she might as well try to have some fun. At the back of her mind though, she was relieved Lochlann was free of this... struggle... at least for a while. It was probably really hard to live in such discomfort, and maybe being in her body felt much better.

When they started walking, she also felt his bad leg. She felt the pain when she tried to walk normally and couldn't. She felt a nerve near her eye twitch, though that one wasn't for the pain but was mostly because... she hated the thought that someone shot Lochlann. And Lochlann didn't want the bullet removed. What, was he actually cherishing it?

Being in his body, she wanted to summon her sharpest knife so she could just yank it out of his leg...

Oh right, she didn't have her powers. She'd just grab one from the cafeteria kitchen then. She was going to take it out and then get herself a healing potion later on. Lochlann and his currently petite body won't be able to do anything about that.

She snapped out of her thoughts when Lochlann mentioned a roommate. "Lies, you live alone. I just went to your place the other day," she said. Her, his, voice was lower than its usual low. She wasn't going to get shocked if this Vlad was simply one of his girls, who cares how many he's got. She hated most girls anyway.

Never mind the feeling of lust in this body, she's always a different person when she's irritated and she can easily ignore things she wanted to ignore.

"Lies, you live alone. I just went to your place the other day," she said. Her, his, voice was lower than its usual low.

"Well, that's true, I do live alone, for the most part," Lochlann said. He hadn't noticed the change in her voice because he was still getting used to the change in hers. "Only not too long ago, I got really, really drunk, and decided to try and summon a succubus. Again."

He continued down the hallway, shrugging, still holding her/his hand. "I didn't get a succubus, but I got Vlad, and she's been staying with me on and off while she looks for a place of her own."

Speaking of the devil, Lochlann saw Vlad running towards them, or scurrying, or generally moving quickly in their direction....in a rather awkward manner.

"Umm....Vlad are you okay?" Lochlann asked her as she approached, even though he realized Vlad wouldn't recognize him in Addy's body.

"This is... so... bother... some... okay.."

That didn't sound like Vlad, but Lochlann supposed something horrible must have happened. He walked over and put Addy's tiny hands on Vlad's shoulders, saying, "Hey, deep breaths, are you okay?"

Alright, it's a long story but basically people have swapped bodies, I need names, current resident, and powers, starting with this body."

SHe was pointing at him, Lochlann realized, and suddenly he rubbed his face.

"Oh god," he said. "Oh god. oh fucking fuck fuck fuck."

He gave a nervous laugh over Addy's voice swearing again, but then got his shit together again. He managed to get through half a sentence before his anger slipped out.

"My name is Lochlann Cabyll-Ushtey and this is Adelene Cross. I live at Apartment 409 at the Crossings. What the hell happened to Vlad? Who are you? Is this permanent? WHat the fuck happened?"
