It was an accident, it really was. It wasn't like he had meant to walk into the club but from the outside it looked pretty innocuous at first and he had been curious so he had gone in anyways to take a look. But it had really only taken Wong Ha Jung about two seconds to realize that oh actually he didn't really want to be there so he was going to leave, he really was, but then there were these women at the hostess stand who wearing, um, um. Um. Yes.
So he had been pretty embarrassed and he tried to leave, he really did, but then they started talking to him which meant that it would be rude if he just took off on his own without speaking to them so he did that. And one thing kind of led to another and he couldn't really remember exactly how they had gotten to that point but the next thing he knew, he was sitting at a table and he really didn't know why.
But um, no. It wasn't so bad. Kind of. Nope. Yes. Um. What? Thinking was not working so well at that point for him because besides the overwhelming embarrassment and terror, there just wasn't a coherent thought in his mind. Actually, there was really strong urge to just hide under the table but that wouldn't be really proper so he didn't really want to do that. Except he kind of did and oh dear God there was the nauseousness and chest pains coming back up so he was actually having the beginnings of a panic attack why-
He tried not to look or listen or do anything having to do with the dancer on the stage because he was just feeling mortified right then and because, well, Wong Ha Jung was kind of a prude but he was also pretty definitely bi and okay so he could look at women and men and sometimes have thoughts but it was more of women with him than men but he had also kind of unofficially sworn off of everything in general having to do with that maybe. And because of how the island worked that probably was a student of the Academy up there and the counselor really honestly didn't want to know what some people did in their free time and he wouldn't start having ideas about students because he was on staff and that was inappropriate and he just wouldn't because he couldn't get over the equality gap on that one and didn't want to -so really actually hiding under the table was a great idea!
It was really too bad, actually. He should have just gone ahead and done it back when he still had mental processes going besides those of sheer terror. At the moment, that action was sort of beyond him and his chest did hurt terribly from the pains and palpitations going on. He just hoped nobody would talk to him. Or notice him. Or anything actually.
