Bright Flame (Paradox)

"Those are some of the best ones though!"

Miya almost grabbed Addy again but managed to hold herself back. Horr was so awesome and the jumpscares is what made them fun! Though everyone had their own favorites so she would let it slide.

When Addy put her hand on her forehead she didn't know what the girl was expecting. Feeling her forehead didn't do anything but tell you she was, well, hot. To be honest Miya wasn't feeling very good with all the excitement she was having and moving about too much.

"Feeling dizzy, but that's from moving around so much. I sit at a piano for hours at a time most days so sitting up is comfortable to me. Can't lay down unless I'm going to sleep I know that much. Might cause me to pass out. Hmm...," the snap of her fingers Miya came up with a few good ideas for anime they could watch. She liked action, and could htink of a few good oldies they could watch.

"Say, you ever watch Cowboy Bebop? One of my all time favorites. What a classic."

"Whatttt! It's a classic action anime! I'll have to loan you the DVD set sometime. It's a good one to watch. Plenty of action, plot twists. And who doesn't love listening to the gravelly voice of Steve Blum?"

She sounded like a girl with the hots for someone. She just loved the voice actor's roles and the anime itself. This made her wonder though, what was an anime that Addy liked? Miya watches mostly romance type stuff and not as much action. Unless horror because she loves that stuff.

"Say what anime do you have to suggest? We can compare and such. I dunno how well you feel about romance stuff and I do about the horror stuff. Just trying to think of ones that we both would enjoy."

"I'm sure there's an option to change it to Japanese voice acting. I'm not too crazy about reading and watching at the same time so I'll take a dub. Sides not all of them are bad."

With a list being thrown in from Addy, Miya was both impressed and amused. A few she had seen and heard of with others she hadn't heard of. That was rather interesting. She'd have to look them up later. Though the last two Miya had no idea what they were in the least bit. Given how they sounded, they'd be her type of stuff to watch.

"Hey girls, your pizza just arrived."

Sherry came walking in with a box of pizza, one of her clones walking behind her with a few paper plates and a case of bottled water. She didn't know how much the two would drink or need, so she figured this would be enough. She'd have the school bill her later for it's missing case. Setting it down on a chair a third clone brought in, she walked back out as the two clones turned into a puff of smoke, before turning around and looking back in.

"Well you girls have fun. Movies, food, and drinks. Though not my kind of drinks to be honest. Anyway remember to call if you need me."

Miya didn't even wait for Sherry to walk out before grabbing a box and going to town on it. She was really hungry and had already down two slices before looking at Addy with a third already halfway hanging out of her mouth. She pushed the box towards Addy with a shy smile trying to apologize.

"Uhh....Here you go, sorry. I get too....Crazy when I'm hungry. So about that anime....I'd say let's watch....Soul Eater? It's got humor, action, weird stuff. And it's kind of like Starlight a bit. I don't mind if we watch it with Japanese voice acting. Just not my cup of tea, but I'll do it cause it's a new experience."

The third slice was gone by the time she finished speaking. She hadn't even taken a moment to stop eating it while she spoke. Hell Miya already had started on a bottle of water. Was cold when she first picked it up but all she tasted was warm water. Kinda sucked, but still refreshing.

Miya smiled through her fifth slice. This was fun. Better then whatever day was bound to happen if she had gone home alone like normal. Maybe she should get hit in the head more often. Then again she'd be more of a problem if she did so that was an idea that was tossed out of her mind.

"You sure? Next time it's Subbed then. No negotiation! No ifs, ands, or buts! From either of us!"

A speech...With a string of cheese hanging from her mouth. Slurping it up Miya giggles as she reaches for another slice with one hand and grabs the remote with the other. How could someone not be good with a remote of all things? It was pretty simple device to use. Well, no use thinking about it. Some people, even teenagers, just aren't great with electronics it seemed.

"Alright. I shall teach you the ways of Remote Fu. First thing is the menu button. Now like your phone, each number has letters labeled to it. First we scroll to Netflix....Alright. Now we scroll to this magnifying glass looking icon and press the Enter button. Type in 'Soul Eater' or whatever we decide to watch. And then...Viola!"

Miya had gone slow with the button presses so Addy could look and take her time if necessary. Miya had the cursor sitting over Play, waiting till she finished her slice before sitting up and crossing her legs on the bed. She began to tie her hair into a tighter braid while Soul Eater started up.

"I hope you enjoy this. It's been a while, but still a rather fun and interesting anime. And I'll try to leave you more pizza. This is like....a bag of chips to me. I think. I dunno, my mind is weird sometimes."

Another giggle which started to slowly die down as the show began.

Miya let out her own muffled giggle, her mouth just stuffed with another slice of pizza. Jokingly she began to wonder if she had a problem. Then reminded herself that if she didn't eat so much she'd end up much worse.

"More pizza! And not picturing myself as a skeleton because I refuse to eat so much because that's just crazy right?" sarcasm filled her voice complete with a roll of the eyes.

Normally she felt like a pig when she ate so much in front of someone, especially another girl, but it seemed that Addy was just a big a tomboy as she was. It gave her a slight blush as she started thinking about how lucky today was. Expect for the head wound. Then again, that led to them meeting so it was good luck after all.

A simple shrug as Miya began eating another slice as the anime started up. Pulling the box of pizza with her, she leans up against the wall with Addy and stares almost blankly. It wasn't that she wasn't enjoying it, it was that Miya entered sort of a trance when she watched anything and only moved and spoke when things were cool, sad, or some sort of emotion was needed.


Time passed as they watched episode after episode. Miya's eyelids began to close, though Miya kept herself from falling completely asleep. They'd have to reschedule another anime night to finish the rest it seemed. She needed rest after all.

"Sooo I dunno about you, but I'm starting to get beat. Think we should call in Miss Sherry for that final check up before we go to sleep? We definitely have to hang out more. Though if we're going to watch anime we might need to go to your place. It would take quite a while for me to vent out all the excess heat from my room and make it safe for you to be in there. Unless you know someone else who wouldn't mind us hanging out and abusing their TV"
