Adelene was a little caught off guard with that little hug. She didn't mind, but just like with most of the things Leon did so far, she felt absolutely flustered. She had to wonder if it was normal to be this close when two people are just friends. New friends, at that. But then she immediately countered that thought by telling herself, 'He's just a naturally sweet person.'

She helped place their food in containers, and was also the one to fix them all inside the basket, putting the still cold drinks on one side. And then she took some glasses from the cupboard, thinking that they could use them later, especially if Leon suddenly considers opening the wine. She fixed what she could after that, neatly folding their aprons and putting them aside for now, as Leon fixed things in the sink. Once everything else was done and they were ready to go, Adelene smiled up at Leon and held on his arm, even though she did so quite hesitantly. The hesitance was caused by nothing but her shyness, and by that little voice in her head that just embarrassed her for everything.

"I have a huge appetite, no worries," Adelene replied, chuckling a few times, before they headed to the door and finally went for the towers. Adelene had only been there once before, and she really wanted to come back with someone she could enjoy the view and the wind with.

He swore if he hand an umbrella on academy grounds this would have been a perfect time to have it. Picnic basket in one hand, Adelene in the other, and then add on the umbrella would make things look like something out of a story or movie in his mind. It...Was a pleasant image. Well...More then that. It was a wonderful image. He didn't know why he enjoyed it so much though. Well he did think of things and made little scenes in his mind so it wasn't all that unusual to him.

Leon hadn't really been up to the Towers himself. He generally kept to the ground. Felt more natural to him. Then again he jogged everywhere so it felt better to him. As they walked Leon noticed the glances again. He didn't care, he was with a great friend and was having a good time.

As they got to the top of the Towers, Leon pushes the door open and man what a rush of air. The breeze was wonderful but made Leon more self aware about food and such being blown off. And the stupidity of him possibly jumping off after it. He'd have to make sure he didn't decide to do that.

"So where looks good to you? I'm thinking against the wall staring out at the forest and the lake. Maybe we could find where we first met, would be a fun little game. But first we eat. The anticipation of you trying my cooking is making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Or is that just your holding onto my arm doing that? It's a nice feeling either way."

When they got on top, the first thing Adelene did was run to the edge and lean over, feeling the strong fresh breeze. She could see the whole academy from where she was, and that made her grin.

"Amazing! It really is so beautiful here!" She laughed, before pushing herself away from the concrete and fixing her hair a little. Since it got all over her face for a moment.

She turned to Leon just in time to hear his words. She blinked, and then she actually laughed again, though they came out as quiet giggles. "Leon, you actually think aloud, huh? That's adorable!"

She needed a few moments before she could stop. One could tell though, she wasn't really laughing at Leon, it was just her realizing her fondness of that side of him. She's seen too much of it within just the span of two days.

"I'm up for that game, so I guess we could go to the side that faces the lake," she said, pointing to that part of the tower. "Ah, actually, I'm excited to find out how your cooking tastes like! You're just excited for lunch, aren't you?" She went and pulled Leon, before decided to take a spot under a shaded area. She took the basket and brought out the picnic cloth first so they wouldn't have to sit on cement directly. And then the containers and the plates and everything else.

She was trying not to look like it, but Leon's loud thinking got her surprised a little. Who wouldn't be, if told outwardly that something about you cause warm and fuzziness? But then Adelene thought maybe it wasn't really like that. She shouldn't act all surprised.

"Right." She settled down, opening the containers of their food. "Let's eat! I'm pretty excited myself!"

Leon almost wanted to grab Adelene and keep her from looking over the edge but he let that disappear from his mind. It was adorable. He caught a glimpse of her messed up hair and unconsciously smiled at it. It wasn't a bad look on her and gave off the air of being like a little kid in a cute and adorable sense.

"Aloud? Well I guess I do say what comes to mind long long as its truthful. I mean, I do look forward to seeing the look on your face when you take a bite. Sides I'm not the only adorable one. The way you ran over to the edge and peered over like a little kid was too cute, complete with the messy hair fix."

He let out his own laugh to match hers. As Adelene dragged him to a spot he had to admit this was a....Secluded spot. And here he was with Adelene in a very secluded spot. He quickly brushed the though out of his mind as Adelene pretty much took the basket and started setting up the picnic. He took a seat next to her and grabbed a plate from the basket and started dishing out the spaghetti. making sure there was a lot of sauce on it. Leon handed the plate to Adelene before fixing himself a plate.

"Ya know I'll be honest. You're the first person I've actually cooked for that wasn't just me helping out my parents. So suffice to say I'm pretty nervous....Okay very nervous about how this turned out. I'm confident, but....Well yeah."

Leon sat back against the wall as his face lit up. He was a little embarrassed....A lot embarrassed. Cooking for strangers who came into his parent's bakery was one thing. Cooking a lunch for a girl he just met on the second day of them being friends was on a whole other level that made Leon's face suddenly blush more. To keep himself from blabbering anymore he took a bite of his plate, hoping to hide his face a bit.

Adelene had pouted a bit when Leon told her she was cute. She was never comfortable being called that way, and any kind of compliment would always embarrass her somehow. But she tried to shrug it off as best as she could.

She took the plate from Leon and muttered a "thanks" before bringing out the kimchi and putting a little bit on the side of her plate. "Alright! No need to be nervous, Leon. I'm already sure it's delicious," she told him, before finally twirling some of the spaghetti around her fork and taking them in.

The flavors tingled her taste buds. It couldn't be helped, a sound of approval escape her as she absorbed the taste, and as the spiciness of the sauce and the piece of meatball she just ate spread like fire in her mouth. She loved it.

Swallowing, she made a thumbs up gesture towards Leon and shot him a really wide smile. Her eyes glimmered, showing how genuine her reaction was. "That. Was amazing! Best thing I've had since who knows when!" she said, before eating some more. If only it were okay to speak while the mouth is full, she would've been complimenting him nonstop.

There it was again. That cute face of hers with a slight pout. Leon had to do his best to keep himself from giving her a giant hug then and there. All he could do is smile as Adelene told him not to be nervous. Well she was right he had no reason to be nervous, but considering he made this for her and was....Basically on a date with her he was still nervous about it all.

At the thumbs up Leon's smile almost ripped his face apart. As Adelene started to compliment his cooking Leon set down his plate and reached over, giving Adelene a big hug while keeping his arms out of her food. There was nothing else he could think of doing. While he knew what he was capable of, very few actually acknowledged it and gave it such praise. Leon could only managed to mutter a few words.

"Thank you. I'm glad you loved it."

Adelene almost jolted and dropped her plate though. Fortunately, that didn't happen. However, being hugged like that all of a sudden, she didn't exactly know how to react.

...Her mind was blank and her face was... It was burning with embarrassment.

"You're... really amazing, Leon. You deserve the praise..." she muttered, putting down her own place so she could hug him back with one hand, and pat his head with another. She thought he might need some acknowledgment from time to time, and suddenly, being hugged by a new friend wasn't so awkward anymore. Even though on normal circumstances, she would have already brought out her metal bat and hit him.

"Now... how about continuing with our meal, hm? I can't really appreciate it any other way than eating it."

Leon let go and scratched the back of his head while letting out an embarrassed laugh. Maybe it was a little too much but he needed that. He didn't get praise or compliments about what he could do, just about his looks and how he was. This was a first that it wasn't just someone being polite and he didn't know how to react.

"Only way to appreciate art like this. Heh.... Not going to lie, that was a first for me. I normally give comforting hugs not...Hugs out of, well, joy. I think you might be what I've been looking for for a while."

Leon took a few more bites before realizing what could have been taken from what he said. He looked at Adelene with his fork in his mouth before slowly taking it out as he looked at Adelene. He didn't mean it in THAT manner or any other manner similar to that. Oh man his face was getting red again he could tell.

"What I meant was a friend like you. Someone who isn't just being fake. It...Feels rather nice. Now I packed this in here because I know how much you were looking forward to it soooo."

Leon reached into the basket and pulled out two wine glasses followed by the bottle they had bought. He planned on drinking this with her anyway, but this made was a perfect time to open it and have enjoy it. Pouring Adelene's glass first then his own, Leon lifts his up towards Adelene.

"Cheers to a great lunch?

Adelene was already blushing, but Leon's words did fluster her, again, even more. She blinked and briefly looked away, before chuckling a few times when Leon pointed out that he meant it in a friendly way.

"You know, I'm not really used to hugs since you're my first friend in years and I'm not really sure how things go for friendship." She ate some more and added a piece of kimchi this time, giving reason for the momentary awkward silence. She watched as Leon brought out the wine and some wineglass. She blinked. She didn't know he slipped the latter items in the basket.

She smiled. Appreciated that Leon was okay opening the bottle, even though he didn't seem like he liked it before. She took her glass and held it up to Leon's. "Cheers to a great lunch, and cheers for the wonderful chef."

A clank between glass surfaces echoed in the quiet air. And then Adelene put her glass against her lips, taking a sip and letting the liquid flow and slide in her mouth.

"New to both of us it seems. Well then, Cheers!"

Leon clanged his glass against Adelene's lightly before taking a drink from his glass. It wasn't all that bad having a drink, though it wasn't all that bad. Just a single glass was good enough. Leon started eating again and finished up his plate before using a napkin to wipe his face off.

"You forgot to add cheers to a wonderful friendship too. Man, this was a fun lunch. We gotta do this again sometime, though not tomorrow. I have a few things I need to study for tomorrow. And train a bit. Speaking of which..."

Leon took out his phone and checked the time. Damn they spent that long? Well they did do a lot today and had a great time. Putting his phone away Leon turned towards Adelene still smiling.

"Wow time really flies when you are having fun doesn't it? By the way you can keep all this food as left overs for later if you'd like. Or I can come by your room later and get it. My house is rather far and I have a few places I need to head to before I head home. Don't want it to, well, go bad. Would be such a waste."

Leon finished his glass of wine and started putting his dirty dishes into a neat pile near the basket before leaning back against the wall closing his eyes, before covering his mouth and letting out a belch.

"Well then...Excuse me for that one. Well, I think we both have things we need to do, but I still got about twenty minutes to spare before I need to start heading off."
