Personality Description:
When a person meets Ardos, they often get the distinct impression that he really wants to fight. Most of the time they would be correct. Ardos hates almost everything. He’ll kick your ass. He’ll kick your dog’s ass. He’ll kick his own ass. He will pick a fight with anything that even breathes in his general direction, don’t you test him.
This is because Ardos is cautious and afraid of nearly everything he is unfamiliar with. Ardos prefers everything to have order and structure. Once order begins to collapse, he responds angrily and violently. He’s most comfortable when his purpose is certain and his boundaries clearly defined. New ideas and complicated philosophy just result in making his head hurt. Ironically, Ardos cares very little about the law and spits on the face of authority in general but this could be easily blamed on his society and how it personally failed him.
Ardos usually has great respect for those that follow authority. Oddly enough, he has a great fascination to those that don’t. He gets attracted to them like moth to a flame. It’s ridiculous. It’s always the assholes that ruin things that shake up his world and make it interesting.
Underneath his rough n’ tumble personality is an incredibly passionate and unfalteringly loyal man. It might not be obvious at first glance, but Ardos is a huge romantic. He’s never outright verbal about it and he’s the most awkward date you’ll ever have, but rest assured that once Ardos locks his eyes on you, he will spend his every waking moment attempting to make you happy.
At the moment, Ardos is devoting all of his time taking care of his Matron Sister. He follows everything she says and protects her from harm. She is undoubtedly the most important person in his life and it is unlikely that will change any time soon.
Ardos is hard to get along with. He’s gruff, mean, and dangerous if you push him. But he’s surprisingly the sort that’s worth keeping, all things considered.

Near-Invulnerability: Decades of mercenary training, extreme poverty and trekking through the Underdark have made Ardos able to survive almost every physical, elemental and magical attack that comes his way. His skin is incredibly hard to burn or pierce let alone damage in a way that would kill him. He is sensitive to psychic attacks and easy to confuse with riddles, though.
Swordsmanship: Ardos’ weapon of choice is a large two-handed sword. He’s been using it for almost two decades. He can’t do anything fancy like slice an apple coming his way anime-style, but he can swing it like it’s an extra limb and use it to block attacks.
Night Vision: Ardos has lived underground for most of his life. As a result, he can see perfectly in the dark. His eyes are extremely sensitive to light, though.
Biography:
Ardos Ta’driz was born in Eryndlyn to an extremely poor house that consisted of nothing but his Matron Mother, Patron Father, his sister Le-kzen, himself and two gnome servants. His Matron Mother managed the household while Ardos, his Patron Father and their servants worked tirelessly in the farm planting mushrooms and taking care of livestock. His sister was being trained to become the next Matron and she helped Ardos sell their goods at the local market.
They had a pretty good life despite the crippling poverty until, one day, Ardos and Le-kzen came home to find their house raided and their parents dead. Normally, they would be able to appeal to Lolth to take the assets of whoever committed this crime but they had no names or list of suspects. They were forced to live in their sorry state.
Ardos was thirty (15) at the time, but Le-kzen was only twenty (11). She only barely knew how to run a household, let alone a business. Ardos offered to find work so they would be able to sustain themselves and Zen agreed to this.
Ardos got work as a lowly mercenary in a male-run company. Having grown used to manual labor, he found it pretty easy to translate his farming experience into fighting skills. The company put him through a decade of training and another decade of dangerous mercenary work. Ardos managed to climb the ranks and survive missions that would’ve killed weaker men. He earned a decent amount to sustain him and his sister.
But his sister was slowly becoming more and more sickly as well as angry at her environment and guilty to the amount of pain she had Ardos go through. They talked about it one night and eventually they agreed on one thing: Nobody should go through the life they were living.
At the dead of night, Ardos and Le-kzen made a breakthrough to the Underdark. They’ve been there for a long and uncertain amount of time. They were sure they were going to die there until they stepped into a world so bright they were almost blinded, landing at the feet of a man that invited both of them to Starlight Academy.
They happily accepted.
