Sasha listened with interest to Niccolò’s explanation. It was a shame he hadn’t done more research, but if they might have something to do with powers… Sasha imagined Joshua would have something dark, to match that black field without electric lights. “Well, I would be glad to assist. I will find you interesting people, and you can see if they have interesting auras as well.”

So except for on Mondays, Niccolò was generally free at night. That would work for him. “Hmm… how about I just text you when anything interesting happens, and you can call when you’re free. Could I have your number?” He didn’t have a phone, but he would soon enough

Niccolò Belmonte

Niccolò raised his slushy drink in toast. "Sounds like a plan!" the Italian said, slurring his words a little as the alcohol began to kick back in. "If you ever need to find me, I live down by the east side of the city. It's, uh, here let me write it down." Taking out one of his spare blank business cards and a pen, he wrote down his address and cellphone number on the back. He didn't write down where his office was, though, because it really was just a dinky place and so close to home that it didn't matter much.

After a very drunken moment of thought, he went ahead and wrote down a few more pieces of information before sliding the card to Sasha. "That one's where Joshua's shop is," the Italian told him. "Sometimes I go over there. The number under the address is his, too, but he barely uses his cellphone because of the whole anti electronic thing. Usually, he leaves it in a box and checks it maybe...once a week? Hates cloaking his powers, he does. I wouldn't recommend calling him unless I'm completely out of touch and you haven't any other options."

“Mm, thank you.” Sasha looked the card over and memorized the information on it. Then he took his pen out of his pocket and neatly wrote his own address on the card, sliding it back to him. “You could have just told it to me, saved the effort.” He grinned lightly, feeling the warmth of the drink in his head. “But thank you nonetheless.” He spun the pen around in his fingers, pleased. It was a black pen with an engraved signature and stylized eye done in white, along with gold styling. Clearly something expensive, though also quite worn. “And don’t worry. Even if you do not have your phone I will find you. That is the job of those in the information trade, yes?”

Should we be closing soon? O.o Tell me if I need to edit this for you...

Niccolò Belmonte

Niccolò tipped his head back a little and laughed. "Yessir, I suppose it is! Memory as good as yours must be useful for the job," he said. Some other, more normal people might have been disturbed by the idea that a person they had just met was perfectly capable of tracking them down at the drop of a pin. But not Niccolò.

Rather used to his family being set into a spotlight, the Italian man often worked on the assumption that most people were just as aggressively intrusive as other lawyers and tax collectors were. Just a fact of life, nothing to be particularly worried about. Niccolò personally had nothing to hide anyways.

Closing sounds good! We can let these men eat/drink in peace, no need to follow their every movement, aha.

“It really is.” Sasha couldn’t help but wonder if this man ever actually worried about anything. He was almost tempted to put a knife to his throat at some point, just to see what would happen…

“In any case, Niccolò, I look forward to our partnership. He held out his arm for a handshake.

Niccolò Belmonte

With a wide grin, the Italian man firmly accepted the handshake. "Always a pleasure." He hiccuped as he pulled back and chugged down the rest of his drink.

In just a little while, the brunette server returned with their food and Niccolò put in another drink order. There was genuine cause for celebration today, after all. Might as well enjoy the moment while it was there.

Looking over this new partnership of theirs, Niccolò couldn't help but think that this, this was going to be awesome. Or terrible. Both. Definitely more awesome than terrible.

Ha, wait till Joshua hears about this!
