Appearance Description:
Giving off the appearance of a mostly ordinary young woman of her age, the most striking thing about Aleks is her dual-colored eyes; one being a genetically engineered red and the other a scarred-white. She has long and plentiful hair that goes down a bit past her shoulders. Her outfit varies day to day, though the general color scheme tends to be black. She stands at around 5'6 without her shoes on, and is average in build stature.
Personality:
Aleks herself is surprisingly timid by nature, preferring to keep her voice level and calm when talking to strangers. Though her morality generally leans on the side of good, it doesn't always show through her actions. Her social boundaries aren't the most refined, and it tends to manifest through her dry sense of humor with quips and remarks of all sorts. While she is not afraid to speak her mind under her breath, she is evasive to direct confrontation, instead coming up with some excuse when called out for her actions- usually involving further aggression from whomever did. If someone is willing to put up with her, however, they'll find someone that at least knows how to have a good time.
When it comes to Dakota, the other half that inhabits the body, she is the self proclaimed 'social buffer' for Aleks. While Aleks is more introverted, Dakota is extroverted by nature. Instinctively inquisitive of her surroundings and the people in it, she acts as the constant tug of a little string for Aleks, pushing her to try new things and meet new people. She seems to radiate a natural drive to be 'normal' as someone sharing a body can get, disliking usage of the body's abilities unless necessary. Socially adept at heart, once a person is trusted enough she is more then eager to let her existence be known.

Currently only a minor ability for them, mainly due to augmentation limitations, Dakota specifically is able to trigger minor shapeshifting of their body. This is because Dakota acts essentially as a direct jack-in to the body's augmentative 'mainframe'. Because of this, she can manipulate cells directly. Unfortunately, she is only able to do so much with this ability as it currently stands. The adjustments she can make are entirely cosmetic, ranging from being able to change the hue of their skin to the color of their hair.

Though Aleks' and Dakota's body is merely a fleshy vessel for them, comprised mostly of biological human inner workings, they are augmented to be much more versatile then the average human. This mainly manifests in their ability to run faster for prolonged periods of time, and with things such as increased eye-to-hand coordination. Still, they are vulnerable to things common humans would be to (asphyxiation, etc) and as much as Aleks would like to believe otherwise, these innate abilities do not replace actual requirements of skill (Class A example: the various times she's attempted to scale a wall to 'be cool' and failed).
Control Switch;
A rather straightforward ability of theirs, they are able to 'switch' control of the body between themselves with a fair amount of ease, as long as said switch is consensual to both of them. They are also able to influence and manipulate to a varying degree the movements of the body even as the one not currently in the pilot's seat.
Biography:
Aleks Rose's first memories were of her father, a loving man with great intelligence and ambition in bioengineering the human body. Though he showed genuine care for his daughter, he took to augmenting Aleks with the intention of 'improving her life'. What he ended up doing was improving her body's natural abilities beyond normal, a strange side-effect of his experiments being the transition of her eyes from a normal shade of brown to a shade of red.
Still, she was able to lead a (somewhat) normal life outside of her father's meddling on her biology. It is when she expressed her desire for a 'family companion' her father had a brilliant idea; one that in his mind would fulfill her wish and help improve her abilities as well. Aleks remembers little from the life-shaking operations itself, and instead remembers waking up to a strange (and equally confused) voice in her head. This voice was given the name Dakota, and was technically an advanced A.I unit installed in her right eye socket- hence the mismatched eyes.
They got along well enough, and life continued on. They were both able to share and collaborate over control of the body, though Aleks always remained in dominate control by nature. As time progressed and they transitioned into highschool, Aleks began to grow resentful of her father's meddling of her life. Discriminated upon by the public, the resentment that Aleks held caused conflict between her and her other half. Her father took note of this, and using his connections and allies, had them enrolled to Starlight Academy.
