Albert Smith
"God please let me out"

Age: 16 | Birthday: July 20, 2000 | Gender: Male | Species: Bioengineered Eldritchbound Human | Student: Sophmore High School (Remedial) |

APPEARANCE
Albert Smith is actually quite thin for his age (160 pounds) as well as quite tall, standing at a height of 6 feet 3 inches. His hair is a very dark brown if not black that he makes sure to clean, but doesn’t seem to be particularly styled. His skin is relatively pale, almost as white as a ghost but on the left side of his body there are particularly odd black veins that snake on the surface of his skin. His clothes seem to be a relatively boring set of jacket, jeans, and t shirt. On his wrist, a number (1.343) was tattooed in a greenish ink. The area around his tattoo always seeming to be a deep irritated red which conflicts with his oddly white skin

His posture on the other hand is actually pretty hunched at times, he isn't a hunchback by any means, but it almost as if he tries to draw himself into himself and withdraw himself from the world.

Sometimes though, his stature and general charisma seems to change to something a bit more imposing. A bit more odd. A bit more....regal. His actions and syntax changes as well.

PERSONALITY
Albert is a nice person that had been wronged far too many times through his relatively short life. As a result, while he tries to be as nice as he can he is not capable at times to accommodate some things that annoy him. The way he deals with things that annoy him though is a bit passive aggressive as it was the only way for him to voice his complaints to not only his parents, but his captors. He is quite sympathetic though, despite what one could expect of him and as a result he is quite sympathetic to people's plight, but the way that he would deal with it is slightly unexpected as he would more than likely try to cheer them up instead of resolving their problem.

One small thing to note is that Albert has a crippling fear of being ignored by people and of needles. He feels that he already as a waning grip on reality and when ignored by people, he starts to get panic attacks and feels like he is drowning

POWERS
Plane shift

- the ability to phase in and out of existence by shifting any of his body parts into different plane, think of it as shifting into an eldritch plane of existence. As a result he cannot interact with things that aren’t in the same plane but he can bring anything he touches with him. He can also pass through anything and re-materialize with anything he touches anywhere he is currently. If he or an item is inside matter and he re-materializes, the matter seems to be pushed out of the area that he was in. For example if he were to re-materialize his arm in a door, the wood would be pushed to the sides to accommodate the arm. While using his ability his veins blacken. When using his ability he feels sharp, but but brief pain Akin to his veins being set on fire. If the ability is used too many times in succession he starts to hallucinate and become more susceptible to stress. Also he is incredibly weak to memory manipulation and suggestion when under the effects of strenuous use.

  • It is important to note he does not teleport, merely walks out of the plane and then comes back to regular reality

Functional immortality:

While he does not know, due to his connection to an eldritch entity, he is functionally immortal. He can be killed, but will not die from age.

Increased regeneration through cellular stimulation:

He can heal almost any injury if given enough time, as things seem to heal in about half the time it would have usually as well as the fact that he is capable of regenerating limbs within a few months of losing them. That being said, this is not omnipotent as he does not heal fast enough to heal himself from lethal injuries that would normally kill a human usually. For example he could heal from a amputated leg if it is kept from bleeding too much, but a stab to the heart or brain would kill him.

Almost superhuman strength:

Albert is about as strong as a peak human despite his normal looking frame. This is because of the standard procedure that the lab he had been put in as it increased survival rate of each one of the experiments.

Second sentience:
While this is not a usual occurrence, the eldritch being that he is bound to can take control of his body and control his actions and voice and use the other abilities that have been bestowed to Albert while using his body. Albert can also freely communicate to the eldritch being, conversing with it like any other being. Finally the entity can separate from his body for about 10 minutes and interact with the current plane that Albert is on. During this period the eldritch entity can not use any of Albert's powers, and is only capable of what a normal human could. That being said this eldritch being can not be killed while in this form as whenever he is assaulted it will appear as he dissipates like mist before reforming

Weaknesses

The Entity:

The Eldritch entity in Albert's body has priority over Albert's movements. This means that if the entity wants to do something while Albert doesn't, the Eldritch could force Albert's body to do what the entity pleased. He has no way to stop the entity from doing what it does.

Increased calorie burn:

Much like many of the people from the lab the he is from, he burns about 20,000 calories a day as a result of his cellular energy intake. If he skips a singular meal he shows signs of serious fatigue, if he skips too many there is a chance that he could die from the body eating itself to satisfy its energy needs

Reduced attention span:

It’s hard for Albert to focus on one thing for too long because of not only his time in a lab but also the long term effect of the experiments performed on him. This can cause him to not only feel hampered in school, but socially as well due to the fact that at times he loses the ability to even interact normally.

Dizzy:

Albert is periodically hit with severe dizzy spells that makes it hard for him to do anything at all other than just sit in the nearest available spot. Think of it as something close to violent seasickness that causes the world to spin from time to time. This is exacerbated if he moves too fast as well causing him to dislike things like cars and planes.

HISTORY
Albert was born in a taxi on July 20th, 2000 to a seemingly upstanding family in the neighborhood. His family was considered to be nice people, but distant to their acquaintances. They lived in a decently nice house, drove decently nice cars, and seemed to eat decently nice food on nights out. There was seemingly nothing wrong about them to the outside view. Oddly enough though, no one ever actually had set foot into their house, and whenever the house came up into discussion, his parents would try to push past the subject. While people didn't understand, they just passed it off as something akin to them wanting some semblance of privacy. For his parents, they allowed it to stay that way. Why? Because they were eldritch fanatics. They were avid cult members that worshiped what they called the "Old/true gods" and the fact that he was born to this family meant that there was several things that he had to deal with.

The moment he was brought home he was automatically put on an altar and experienced a ritual that they called "cleansing" and to this very day, he remembers the odd tingling that he had experienced. It was almost as of something was creeping through him and looking at every fiber of his being, not that he could have expressed that, but this ritual actually happened several different times.

When he came of age to go to school, his parents would always tattoo something on his stomach in a black goo before forcing him to go to school. He was forbidden from having friends though, and as a result he was considered to be quite standoffish at school and had little to no connections as most considered him weird and generally off putting as anyone who went to talk to him would note his obvious act of drawing into himself.

After about 15 years of this happening, there was one girl that was fed up of having him sit alone all the time. She felt bad for him and was quite convinced that all he needed was a friends, so she pushed herself on him. No matter what he tried to do to get rid of her, she would always come back as stubborn as ever. In fact, it had come to the point that her incessant want to hang out with Albert made him relent. He had made his first friend.

His only friend

This continued for about a year, until one day his parents found him talking and being relatively touchy with her. They decided almost immediately to nip it in the bud. The called in a person in a lab coat. This man handed his parents a paper, they signed it, shook hands and then pointed at their child.

The man in the lab coat slowly walked up to Albert, and before Albert could react, stabbed him in the neck with a syringe. After about two seconds of fading consciousness, he faded to black.

Albert woke up to a bright, sterile light. He was in a padded white room, no visible doors in sight, and a slightly odd fixture in the middle: a camera that seemed to follow his move and was centered on him. After a couple minutes of consciousness, Albert started to hear someone speaking from a speaker that announced:

"welcome to the experiment, we are going to test the effect of extreme isolation on you after you were injected with an.... interesting material. You will not be able to talk to any person during this experiment, good luck."

And the speaker was correct, he was not able to ever talk to anyone because there was no one to talk to. There was no one to interact with. There was no one there to help him.

Days, months, years passed with differing levels of activity from Albert that usually came and left in waves. It usually went from catatonic sitting, to crying, to screaming for help, back to catatonic sitting. But as time went on, the time that he spent crying or screaming started to dwindle. And toward the end of his second year, not that he knew the day or year, he stopped completely. He was completely catatonic, barely any stimulus could even get him to do anything.

That is when it happened

Albert woke up from his slumber, his back to one of the pure white walls, and saw a black manifestation of what seemed to be..... himself. Everything but two things about this person was identical, the first was the color of his skin, clothes, and other items were complete pitch black. The second was that it's eyes and.... veins on the right side of his body were pure brilliant white. It was almost as if he was the literal inverted version of Albert.

"Oh looks like you were up, that is good I waited for you to get this way so I could talk to you. Looks like you are in a bind, It has been exactly one year and 280 days since you have been stuck alone in here. I am surprised it took you this long to fall to this state to be honest."

Albert looked at the entity a bit nonplussed.

"Oh yeah, I am getting you out so calm down and this is going to feel a bit weird for you."

The ... entity.... then dived into Alberts body. What Albert felt next is what he could only call... eerie. His body moved on its own as it seemed to stretch itself without the permission of Albert himself. He then heard a voice in his head say: "You ready to see the sun? Cause it probably is brighter than you remember, I'll get you out but you have to take care of it from there."

The entity then punched the wall.... but Albert witnessed as his arm seemed to pass through? It was almost as if the wall never existed. Then his body seemed to move just through it completely into a hallway.

The hallway looked like a medical ward, but instead of Doctors and nurses there seemed to be people in lab coats that bustled back and forth between monitors that seemed to peer into different cells, but before any of them noticed that he was out the world went....grey? and cold?

His body seemed to then walk among the scientists as if they didn't see him, none of them even reacted to the fact that he was out. It was almost if he was invisible.

The entity knew Albert's train of thoughts and a throaty laugh could be heard from inside his head

"Better than invisible, you technically don't exist to them at the current moment"

Whether or not this was true, Albert didn't know, but his body walked confidently into the elevator and eventually made it to the ground floor. His body simply then made its way outside, but the moment he stepped outside, the entity let go of the controls. He was given back control, but before he could take a next step a woman grabbed his shoulder.

He turned around.

"Hello, I'm a scout and I am here to take you to Starlight academy."
OTHER
- He has no clue where he goes when using his ability, when asked he just says he fades from existence.

- The eldritch entity bound to him has all of his memories, but he does not have all the memories of the eldritch being
