Garrick shook his head. “No. Not about having time. If someone asked you if you wanted to pact with them, would you?” He blinked, and didn’t really process the next question before he just... asked it. “Would you want to pact with me?” It was at that moment Garrick realised he really should’ve processed his thoughts before he decided to talk. Think before you speak, was all he could think right now.

Garrick blinked in surprise. That... worked? He was, frankly, amazed that his poorly thought out question was actually answered. He hurriedly cleared his throat. “Y-Yes. Right yeah. I’m Garrick Barnes. Sorry.” He rubbed the back of his neck with a sigh. Here goes nothing. “I’m ready for the pact. Yeah.” He nodded slowly.

If Garrick was told this would be happening today, frankly he wouldn’t believe whoever told him. He really had set out to get answers rather than to get a new pact, but here he was, with the person he had set out to meet.

To be honest, Garrick was never really sure what to do after getting a new pact. Sure he only had gotten three prior to this, but it was still a bit odd. “So, I guess we’re pacted then?” He tilted his head a little. After a moment, he offered a small smile. “So... what do you want to do now?” He tried to sound friendly, but there was still hints of his detachment not even long prior.

Garrick nodded and turned to look back at the sculpture again. He... still couldn’t actually figure out what the sculpture was. He still liked it because he thought he could see birds, and that it looked nice. When Cornelius spoke again, Garric turned his head. “Well, you won’t know yourself until you’ve seen it. It could be really good!” He spoke in a cheery tone as he grinned. Ever the optimist, all the way to the end.
