She'd hum in thought, her head head tilting as she looked him over, "you regalia are a mysterious bunch, half truths and secrets." She didn't want to be annoying, but she was a curious cat, "why was I chosen? I got the letter, I know you also accepted people who just stumbled onto it all. But those sent letters, was it actually random? Why us? Why me?"
She'd squint at him, "did you do the choosing? Or was it a higher up regalia?" The cat girl would step a little closer, "I want to know more about that thing you're trying to get rid of, to pass to someone else." She wasn't going to give up easily, "sounds like it's the main reason you're here, sure, like you said, you have orders, but there that thing you're personally concerned about," she'd look him up and down, "what is it? Must be important."
"I'm not most people," she'd say a bit bluntly perhaps, "I joined the tournament, the regalia interactions because something about it intrigued me." She'd brush hair from her eyes, "I see you, the others and gear that this is your purpose and...somehow I want to be involved, to see where it all goes and to know what it's all for."
She thought on the questions a moment, "unlike the rest of Earth, people here know about magic but with it comes with almost certain that destiny and fate are a real thing." She'd tile her head, "perhaps none of truly have a choice....maybe everything we do is meant to happen," she didn't particular like that idea, "but...in a way we all have to keep going with the mindset that we do have a choice, because the idea that we can choose keeps going."
"So there's a decent chance that were all living on the illusion of choice," she'd nod, "so yes, I'd accept it, it likely wouldn't be easy, such responsibility rarely is." She'd look him up and down, "we're faced with responsibilities, I'm guessing at the end of this, there'll be a shift in responsibility?"
