Name: Rey Faust
Age: 16
Birthday: December 23rd
Gender: Male
Category: Student
Grade: 11th
Appearance Description:
A serious young fellow with an odd personality, Rey sports short auburn hair and sharp golden brown eyes. In addittion to these attributes he is of average height and a particularly thin build yet concealing a good amount of muscle underneath. The oddest of all however would be Rey's attire for he has not caught up with the latest fashion trends his style could be simply summed up as the clergyman's cloth. He only rarely if ever wears something unrelated to a priest robes unless it is absolutely necessary.
One perplexing feature about Rey's features is that once he activates any of his power his eyes turn to a dark shade of red as his right hand gets enveloped in a dark miasma. It does not seem to affect him at all and they promptly disappear the minute he has stopped using any of his supernatural skills.
Personality Description:
Rey can be described as being eccentric by some and completely serious by others depending on his mood, the time of day, the people he's dealing with or what event is currently going on. Raised in a Catholic orphanage, Rey is a devout Christian and part of the Charismatic Movement to eliminate the stigma of corruption that people seem to have on the church. This had led him to best emulate the priesthood in any positive way while expressing his own personality.
Aside from his affiliation, he is generally looked upon as rather kind once you get past his weirdness factor as he has a habit of using hyperbole and flowery metaphor in his speech if he's packing the right amount of energy. He's also rather cunning and a slight trickster for he has an ability to quickly understand complicated situations but prefers to misinterpret them in order to have a good laugh and lastly, he's a good cook and rather a persuasive and charming man but lacks the social mannerism to continue most relationships be they friends or lovers and the less that can be said about his bad luck with women the better.
Finally, his powers have caused him to doubt himself for as a member who venerates someone associated with Light, all his abilities are shadow-aligned. He doesn't think too much on this and knows he will just use his powers for the sake of humanity's improvement but his doubts resurface every once or so. So far, he is merely trying to grasp the bigger plan that is to come in the future for himself.
Powers
Sandalphon's Flight:
This is his main power and this ability gives him the power of fast teleportation in his immediate vicinity. He uses this ability to escape or combo his opponents in short succession but it's always evident where he will appear next for a small dark vortex will appear shortly in his eventual destination although one would need good reflexes in order to strike in or block if they are going to defend themselves against Rey.
He can also teleport farther away but he needs to know or visualize where that location is. It will also take him much longer to teleport depending on distance and if he messes up he could transported literally anywhere else in the world into a volcano or even the middle of the ocean so he tries to do this variation when he knows he's safe from harm or danger.
Methuselah:
When Rey is caught in rather dire straits, he can transform his arm into a blood-red claw than when it captures an enemy will transfer their life energy into Rey in order to heal himself and last longer if he's ever caught inside a fight. This ability needs to be in direct contact with the enemy and can only continue working if he is touching his opponent, the healing is canceled whenever the opponent extricates himself from Rey's reach.
The claw can never fully drain a person life, and once in contact with a potential opponent, the effect it will have on them is increasing fatigue and tiredness. It's relatively easy to take off since the healing effect stops when not in direct contact but being too tired will give Rey the advantage.
Rookie Boxer
He's a average boxer, no special tricks or moves, he just knows when to punch and when to back out.
Biography
From the beginning of his life, Rey never knew where he was truly born because since the dawn of his memory all he could remember was that he was living inside a Catholic funded orphanage and that a priest had saved his life from being abandoned in the streets. This moment of kindness which he could never truly imagine but could completely feel would fuel his future desires to obtain his savior's occupation and work to save others that were just like him.
In the orphanage, he had lived a very wonderful life where all the nun's taught him how to properly act and show virtues through strict discipline and good manners. Every time all the children did well, they were allowed to perform plays and act in front of their caretakers where Rey although usually given smaller roles compared to other children played them for all that they were worth eventually developing his eccentric nature. He was an ambitious and determined boy and this never stopped as he would continue to grow on to become a better person.
As one of the older kids in the place, he generally helped out more with the cleaning and cooking than most other kids and was surprisingly rather good with the housework and when it finally became time for him to go to church, he was always ready to listen and observe, ready to become and example to others he also began adding other youth's into his group to better understand the messages they were being taught.
It was not long after that at the age of twelve a priest by the name of Father Exavius came by to visit Rey and tell him that the man who had rescued him had recently fallen ill in Italy but had sent a letter to him in order for him to tell him something personally. Rey although conflicted accepted the offer and said good-bye to his home. Arriving in Italy, he was taken to the Vatican and met his savior Father Micah and this fateful encounter would forever define a mark in his life.
In private, Father Micah had revealed to him that Rey would become his adopted son and with that he also revealed that he would that starting today he would show him the world and train him in a special gift he had not known off. Rey confused did not know how to reach but Father Micah decided to demonstrate what he meant and threw a cross at the young boy. As the throw came to be unexpected, he wasn't able to dodge, but in that fleeting second, he had disappeared and reappeared roughly two feet forward having almost literally passed throw the cross itself.
Father Micah told him to keep this a secret and although weakened began to train him the best way he could in a hidden training room. In here he began to learn how to properly manipulate his technique and then discovered Methuselah which he also trained by sapping the life out of logs. In his free time, he was inculcated in all subjects from Math to Latin, to Self-Defense to History for the continuing four years.
It was also in these four years that Rey began to travel around the globe with Father Micah who simply refused to die and began to see clearly the complaints and the negative aspects of his denomination. In some places, he was almost killed for what he tried to teach, but by the end he came out well world-weary and conscious of the differences in opinion, but sadly his newfound knowledge wasn't going to help him much anymore as somehow the Vatican wanted him to attend a place called Starlight Academy. He was perplexed at the thought and believed he could do better where he was right now, but with Father Micah's words, he was sent packing to a land he never knew quite existed.
