Appearance Description:
Charos generally appears as a tall, lean man with green hair and yellow eyes. Yes, green hair and yellow eyes. He just likes to be cool like that. His hair is short and thick; it's straight and mostly neat minus it getting mildly ruffled by the hat. He has abs underneath his clothes and really long legs. He stands at about 6'5'' but surprisingly doesn't weigh that much. He has a bit of weight to him since he does have muscle, but his lean figure makes him fairly light. A light breeze won't knock him down, but it wouldn't be difficult for a particularly strong person to bridal carry him. He has pale skin that's about one or two shades too pinkish to be white.
Charlie is one of the fanciest guys you'll meet. He is never wearing sweatpants or t-shirts. No, he must always dress like a dapper gentleman. He wears expensive suits made of Italian silk and other expensive materials. Button-up shirts are a must, and he often has a vest underneath his jacket. He dresses like he's one of Michael Jackson's back up dancers in Smooth Criminal. He has nothing but dress shoes, and a number of them are steel-toed. One thing for certain: He ALWAYS has on a fedora. You never see him without it. I also advise never taking off his fedora. Ever. God help you if you decide to steal it.
He presumably has some crazy demonic form, but no one really knows and even as a ferryman he doesn't show off what it is so yeah.
Personality Description: Charlie is a very cheery oddball. A lot of people don't really know what to make of him. He's always smiling regardless of how good or bad a situation is, but he doesn't give the same sense that an innocent Pollyanna would. He is just as likely to deliver a compliment as he is to dish an insult, and he does it all for the lulz. One gets the sense that he repeatedly does things just because he can. He likes to stir up chaos in ways both small and large. However, he is pretty clever about it when it comes to large things such as scandals; he knows not to leave crucial evidence behind. He views Life as a game and thus plays it like it is. He doesn't really care for consequences and is willing to take them head-on. However, he does have a berserk button: stealing his fedora. You do NOT steal the fedora. You just don't.
Powers: Charos is a demon....of some sort. While his type is unclear, his occupation gives him immortality. He can't really be killed. He can be injured, harmed, and maimed, but he can't be killed. He'll just reform missing body parts. In the event that he gets into a situation that destroys every part of his body, his soul is forced back into Hell where he must wait until his body fully reforms. It is presumed that he has an alternate form as a demon, but he doesn't show signs of it or ever transform into it. It's probably too disturbing to even look at.
Charlie has the ability to open portals anywhere. He can throw a portal on a wall, the floor, or even in the air. This is because he is a Hell ferryman. However, the only alternate world his portal can lead to is Hell. He either opens a portal to Hell or he opens a portal to Earth. There's no travelling to Wonderland or Narnia, and he definitely can't visit Heaven.(WHY WOULD HE ANYWAY?! ANGELS DON'T NEED THIS ASSHOLE!) He does have control on where he goes, but he has to concentrate on the location. If he ends up distracted for whatever reason, then his portal will lead somewhere random in the world.
His other power is torment inducement. Sometimes you just want to mess with someone that is supposed to go to Hell. Sometimes a soul is being too stubborn. Well, to prevent that, he can trap people into a torturous illusion. He can make someone live out their worst fears. However, there are limitations. The illusion can only be inflicted on one person at a time. It is also weaker on Earth. On Earth, he can't inflict physical or spiritual suffering; he can do this in Hell. All of the torments are rooted in fear.
Biography: No one really knows where the Hell Charlie came from. It's unclear if Charlie was a demon born in Hell or an evil human soul turned into a demon because of the level of his crimes. Not even he seems to remember. All that is known is that he is ancient and he is a Hell ferryman. He's worked in this occupation for thousands of years, and nothing has change that. His job has been simple; he takes a soul in his boat and ferries them to Hell. Sometimes he has to go to Earth and capture the soul of someone that has escaped. He was damn good at his job.
However, he was also bored with his job. This caused him to open up a portal to Earth and go searching for something to do. He sensed a lot of demonic signatures coming from Manta Carlos, so he decided to go there. What he found was a mish mash of people in one place. His goal became to gather intelligence. This was challenging until he found out that he could join law enforcement simply by entering Starlight Academy and completing a few years of training. A few years was nothing to him, so he enrolled to the school and passed the entrance exam required in order to start off in college.
He spent several years attending courses and working his usual job. He acquired his degree and did further training at the police academy. He entered the force and worked his way up the ladder quickly. Soon he landed a job as an intelligence analyst. This pleased him greatly. His coworkers knew him for being both intelligent and a total freaking troll. He went back to Starlight Academy to acquire a teaching degree and began working part-time as an Islets teacher. Why? Because why the hell not? He generally works as a math teacher.
While working with the law, he is definitely open to causing chaos or delivering information to interested parties. He only requires payment. Payment doesn't necessarily mean money. More often than not, it means entertainment. Thus Charlie moonwalks to his own beat.
