Appearance Description : Vasilisa stands at six feet and six inches tall. She is of average strength but has high endurance. She has a heart shaped face and bright red eyes. She has long platinum blonde hair that falls to her chest and has two small braids, one on either side of her head, which are tied in the back of her head.
Vasilisa is a classy lady who likes finer clothes that may or may not belong to a different period of time. Her style can be a bit Victorian.
Personality Description : Vasilisa is an empathetic but often emotionally distant figure who can be accurately described as a opportunist in pursuit of her own sometimes confusing dreams with a tendency to touch back to report to reality from time to time. Though she appears stern, for good reason, she has a habit of being lost in her own thoughts and micromanaging, leading to a number of non sequiturs when interacting with her. She is not self absorbed so much as not used to having her own "circle," so to speak.
Though good at heart, Vasilisa is not always nice and believes that people need to be given discipline to correct their problems and discourage bad habits. After that, they can be given sympathy and understanding but it takes a while to get there. She is well meaning but also a perfectionist who has streaks of idealism revealed in the fact that she believes most things can be accomplished with the right amount of effort. She immensely dislikes laziness and does not truly understand people with more volatile temperaments. Her days are regimented and she is highly calculative when it comes to time and money.
Vasilisa in general is a fair person who tries but cannot always see both sides of an argument. She is also stubborn and can be frustrated by her inability to solve identified problems.
Zodiac Power : Mother Cancer Beckons : Vasilisa is the current holder of the title The Cancer. This position gives her immunity from illness as well as technical immortality should she stay away from extreme situations like decapitation or exploding mines. Smaller injuries will simply heal up, although larger injuries might take some time. Healing is often a painful process for injuries more serious than mere cuts and bruises.
Jupiter's Crown
When confronted with somebody who specifically has super strength, super intelligence, super reflexes, super speed, or any other enhancement in this category containing the word "super," Vasilisa can cancel their power and gain the ability to hit them with a single concussive blast. Just one. The blast hits with the force of being tackled by an average bodybuilder and normally leaves the person dazed for a few seconds with no real injuries. The negation is continuous and will not end once the strike is made.
This ability is sight related. Vasilisa has to see the person whose powers she is canceling. And then she also needs to see them to hit them with a blast. As long as she sees some part of them, the blast will hit. Probably. But if they duck behind something after she lets the blast go, there's nothing she can do about the direction. The thing about hiding, though, is that the more you hide from her, the more times it resets the counter on the blast. So really, the best thing to do is to partially duck behind an object, let yourself get hit by the blast. And then run up to her and shoot her in the face. Or, because most people have powers besides enhancement based ones, they can just use the other power. Also, hiding behind some kind of transparent barrier will do wonders.
When confronted with another member of the zodiac, however, Vasilisa has free access to this power and can cancel their abilities at will despite not being "super" attributes. She can also use concussive blasts multiple times but in this sort of situation, the blasts are watered down to merely feeling like flicks on the forehead. However, she is still restrained by the sight limitation.
No matter what, however, she is not allowed to fool herself by looking away from somebody or blocking her own vision on purpose. Her powers seem to have a mind of their own in that regard.
Neptune's Gate Has No Gravity
When moonlight falls directly upon Vasilisa, she dissipates into a cloud of presolar stardust and is unable to do anything except glide on the wind. Though she is immune to physical attacks, mind, light, and water powers in this way, she is not immune to the rest. Wind manipulation and earth manipulation are very dangerous to her in this state. In this state, she cannot speak and the cloud she becomes can be pretty obvious from a distance.
If there is no breeze to glide on, she is pretty screwed because that means she also cannot glide to shade in order to transform back. Using shadow powers on her can potentially turn her back into her human form, which can be harmed by them, but otherwise, her cloud form will be unaffected. This will work if the shadows obscure the moonlight. She may not use any other power in this form and the cloud is extremely light and airy. And fragile. One will not see Vasilisa out on a wet night or one with high speed winds if she can help it.
The Dark Sign
Vasilisa is undetectable by physical, magical, technological means until the very moment that she either speaks or uses her powers. She can be stomping around as loud as possible, sneezing up a storm, banging pots and pans. You may hear the sounds occurring but they will appear to be coming from all directions equally and you will not see Vasilisa herself until she is standing right by your side and either bidding you a good day or casually canceling out your superspeed. Until that point, however, she will appear to have no shadow, no reflection. If somebody were to cast paint at her, she would still be covered in it. But nobody would see it. She does not have this ability when she is transformed because that counts as using her powers.

Biography : Some Zodiacs get their powers by cons and murder, some get theirs by trust and chance. Vasilisa, however, was raised into the role of Cancer as her family was one of many that was being watched for potential candidates. The previous Cancer was a man who had been kidnapped by a splinter branch of the Symbiotic Concert, a well meaning but very militant and extreme organization that held him against his will for several years to await an ideal successor's birth. Vasilisa was chosen specifically for her family's affinity for magic, because it was theorized that her untapped powers could be molded with the mantle of Cancer into something more. Useful.
Thus, the previous Cancer was forced to name Vasilisa his successor when she turned three, and was promptly blown up immediately afterwards. From that point on, Vasilisa's entire life revolved around work and self improvement. Though she still had some semblance of a childhood -the Symbiotic Concert was full of murderous terrorists but they were murderous terrorists with feelings- it was more than a bit messed up, as could be expected. Her parents were around for most of her life and loved and nurtured her as much as parents could. But between trainings and tests, those familial bonds did not form as readily.
Between the ages of ten and forty, all records of Vasilisa vanished. She does not speak much of the time that came after, although people do know that she was born in Harbin but lived in various parts of Russia for most of her adult life. She, apparently, joined some kind of more legitimate military group and ended up building tanks for a living. But everything else is vague. She came to Manta Carlos eventually, but people have a hard time tracking down when even was her first landfall on the island.
