Name: Casmir
Age: 11, but sometimes acts younger
Birthday: December 16th
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Confused.
Religion: “All hail the Goddess Kyros, Motherlord of Uslana!”
Category: Student
Class: High School, going in to Sophomore Year (Grade 10)
Appearance Description:
- Dark raven hair, unusually soft in general human standards
- Golden eyes
- Fair, Caucasian skin tone with a bit of a tan due to outdoor activities
- Has scars, though these are faded and not as numerous as they really should be due to potent healing magic
- Very attractive, as many princes are, though this is not as readily apparent to teens and adults due to his age
- Average height, but a bit on the thin side when it comes to his build and figure. Though he is very fit and somewhat muscular due to physical training, is really more on the feminine side of male body structure
- Once again, more on the feminine side. Fair, sparse body hair; soft facial structure; large eyes; thick lashes; plump lips;another char with a round uke booty
- Generally dresses in princely, sometimes princess-ly, attire and has yet to grow used to normal clothing outside of relaxation clothing
- Is usually seen with a little three-pointed golden crown atop his head
Personality Description:
- Childish
- Spoiled rotten and quite bratty
- Very arrogant, even at his young age
- “Peasant, please. I’m fabulous.”
- May refer to others in derogatory terms such as “peasant”, “commoner”, or something a bit more creative
- Likes to show off his wide vocabulary, but sometimes uses his words wrong and makes a fool of himself
- Very dramatic and often exaggerates
- Impulsive, though not as much as he once was
- His kingdom had no electricity, as did his entire realm, and this was due to the realm wanting to stay true to their world and not take secrets from other universes (like electrical power, from ours). Literally doesn’t know anything about technology, and is fascinated by the simple idea of light switches
- Can be considered a full-blown tsundere; may continue to treat someone just as poorly if not worse than he treats others, but it’s really just him being familiar with them, and he likes them a lot
- Or, he might just plain not like them. It’s hard to figure out
- Does have a very soft and fluffy side
- Finds pleasure in cute and pretty things
- May act a bit on the feminine side at times, wanting to be a “princess” instead of a “price”
- Has a deep connection with horses and proudly calls them his favorite animals
- However, he will argue to the death that they are not animals, but “horses are people too!”
- Also has a big stuffed animal horse. His name is Alfred, and only Casmir knows he exists.
- Has a white stallion with a golden-cream colored mane and tail – oddly enough, the same color scheme of Casmir’s stuffed animal. His name is also Alfred, coincidentally, and lives in the stables.
- The only beings that Casmir trusts are Alfred and Alfred. The second Alfred, though, is a stuffed animal and cannot tell his secrets anyway.
- Very skilled in horsemanship, and enjoys riding with a passion
- Growing up as he did has warped and twisted Casmir’s mind over some matters
- Was raised with the threat of war on the horizon, and the knowledge that he would most likely die young and do so in the heat of a bloody war. Has been conditioned in a way that would allow him to perform as a strong, skilled king
- He has been desensitized to many of the dark things that life offers, and may only react to them should they happen to him or someone he particularly cares for, assuming he befriends anyone to that level.
- Is rather indifferent to the idea of killing. He certainly doesn’t do it for fun, but if the time comes and he must defend himself/his kingdom, he will murder.
- Unless the person held some significance in his life, Casmir generally does so without guilt as well.
- Has a sadistic side and, though he is merciful towards his enemies to an extent, can be very cruel
- Is skilled with various medieval-types weapons and forms of combat. Especially skilled with swords/daggers, bows and arrows, and most cavalry-based fighting.
- Can be very mature when the time comes for him to step up to the plate, but generally prefers his childish, snobby persona as it’s easier and more natural
- Adept at strategy, especially wartime strategy, as he has studied it throughout the years.
- Is content in knowing that he will never depend on another person completely
- Believes that true friendships are burdens and will only get in the way of his duties as a prince
- Is lonely at times, though whenever he is struck with the feeling, he simply interacts with one of his Alfreds
- Doesn’t know what it’s like to have proper parents, as his were strict and used bribery as a form of love as they never had real time to spend with him (save for meals, which were mandatory attendance and often silent on his part)
- Despite his arrogance, has immense insecurity about himself and his true ability to lead his kingdom into battle
- Fears his inevitable death and is iffy on the idea of the afterlife, but is forced to embrace the idea
- Would honestly do well with a parent figure, or even just an older sibling
Powers:
<details><summary>Candy Creation</summary>
He can create and manipulate sugar and candy. Can somehow also create candy that doesn’t consist entirely of sugar, including things like peanut brittle, ice cream and tootsie rolls. However, he can’t do things like donuts, as they are more of a pastry sort of thing. Perhaps with practice!
At the moment, can’t create anything spectacular; no candy spears or anything like that. However, he has learned how to create small daggers and needles out of candies, as well as little eye-pleasing objects. Most candy is average sized, though he can create large quantities of these small candies. He can only control external sugar – i.e. sugar outside plants, animals, etc. Can manipulate sugar that he did not create, though.
Casmir’s father believes that this could eventually expand and allow Casmir to control blood sugar etc, as well as create large, strong weapons made of hard candies, among other things; the candy would become tools of battle. However, the young prince is far from that at his current place in skill.</details>
<details><summary>Indestructabubble</summary>
Casmir can create a virtually endless stream of bubbles if he so wishes – though he does have a limit at the moment, and can’t flood the island with bubbles or anything like that. Currently, though it can change with practice, his bubbles are only average size and he can’t really combine them without ridiculously disfiguring them – and even then, they’re still separate (albeit mangled) bubbles. At least they can’t be popped by anyone/anything until Casmir wishes them to be
Casmir’s father believes that this power could end up working as force fields and massive, indestructible prisons. Casmir is just content with bubbles for now.</details>
<details><summary>Horse Whisperer</summary>
Casmir isn’t sure if this is a power or just a skill, but either way, he hasn’t told anyone about it lest his skill be exploited. For some odd reason, he finds he can understand horses and communicate with them well. It’s less of a telepathic ability and more that a horse is able to understand in his human tongue and sense his emotions well, while he can read their little movements like a book, figure out their emotions as they can sense his, and understand the meaning behind their whinnies. Because of this life-long power, Casmir has always had an intimate relationship with horses and proudly dubs them his favorite animal… though he will also vehemently argue that they aren’t animals at all.</details>
Biography:
> Casmir was born in another world alternate to ours, a world known as Uslana. Perhaps it was another planet, or universe, or perhaps another reality altogether – the people of our world and theirs alike aren’t sure, and they don’t really care to figure it out.
> In Uslana, most people have powers, those who don’t are generally outcast (as opposed to earthen people), and the royalty of most kingdoms are very important and well-respected to their own nation as well as others. Coups are rare.
> In this realm, there are many nations scattered across the land, with the setting itself like something out of a medieval fantasy novel. Of these kingdoms, two neighboring nations claim twin titles for the largest and strongest of the rest – they are Skylor and Malin, with the latter being more ambitious than the former.
> Their rivalry is known throughout the realm and has been going on longer than most living humans can remember, and few can recall why it was even started. However, despite their rivalry, they have managed to live in general peace… until several years before Casmir was born. It was then that the first true war between two major kingdoms was set into action. To the current rulers of each country, the end result was clear: there would be only one kingdom remaining. However, the fighting didn’t start until many years after the proclamation of war.
> Casmir was born several years after the war officially began, but also several years before the fighting began as well. His parents were King Frederick and Queen Isabella of Skylor. He was the first of five children – three sons and two daughters, counting himself - by the time he turned 11.
> Casmir began education and training very early on. He can’t remember a time that he wasn’t being groomed for his future position as king, as being the oldest, he was entitled to the position. He was taught as quickly as he could understand that tensions were at an all-time high between Skylor and Malin, and that war could be underway soon. However, he was not told that such a decree of battle had already been made nearly five years before his birth, as the young prince’s parents feared what could happen should their sun be raised under such pressure.
> Despite their love for him, Casmir’s parents rarely had time to spend with him, and his rigid training (as well as general personality) kept him from bonding too strongly with his eventual siblings. His mother and father simply showered him with gifts to make up for their absence, spoiling Casmir rotten, and left the boy to find his own companions.
> However, he was arrogant early-on, and found it hard to befriend other children. He instead bonded closely with a young unicorn colt in the stables, a snowy little thing that he went on to name Alfred after his large stuffed animal. Peculiarly, both horses shared the same color scheme down to the eyes, and Casmir eventually gave up trying to figure out how his parents managed that (especially since the stuffed animal came first).
> This all is not to say that Casmir was friendless. He did make acquaintances and even casual friends with several noble-born children, though few stuck around for long.
> Still, he was picked on by many of the common children. Such youngsters had been jealous over Casmir’s wealth and status, as well as sick of his greedy and narcissistic disposition, and decidedly disliked him in response. Some of the bravest of the youths went past verbal assault and attempted to ‘teach him a lesson’. Many times, Casmir would return from his wanderings in the town with bruises and scrapes strewn about his body.
> Made exceptional friends with one noble-born boy specifically, the boy’s name Aven. Through the years, Aven and Casmir became nearly inseparable. Aven remained Casmir’s best and only true friend for many years.
> By 9 years of age, Casmir was harboring somewhat different feelings for his friend, but was afraid to admit these feelings. For one, his parents viewed it as unnatural… and as the only possible heir to the throne, he had to marry a woman to continue the bloodline. He decided not to pursue his emotions and simply wait it out.
> Remained blissfully unaware of the war until age 7, when the palace was ambushed by warriors from Malin. Father was going to wait until Casmir’s 10th year to explain the situation to his son, but with the surprise attack, he was forced to reveal it early.
> At age 10, Skylor was ambushed again. Aven’s parents were killed, the boy only surviving because he had stayed at the palace overnight. Aven was changed that night, and not for the better. Casmir became enraged over the fact that Malin was able to hurt his friend so badly, and asked his parents to do something about it. However, despite their close ties to Aven’s family, they had to step up to the plate, treat the loss of their friends as another casualty of war, and stick to their plan of action. However, Casmir would not accept this.
> In all of his young ignorance, the boy set off from the kingdom one night, fully intent on avenging Aven’s parents. What he didn’t realize was just how terribly small he was, how inexperienced compared to true soldiers, and he was quickly captured. It was not long before Skylor was notified, though there was no ransom order. It was only “stand down, or the prince dies”.
> Casmir was held hostage for two long months before Malin finally issued a ransom, one that consisted of several wartime changes and a large sum of money. The condition was simple; pay the ransom, or they kill Skylor’s heir. The longer the ransom was left unpaid, the more Casmir would suffer. It took another month before the debt was finally settled, time that consisted of sending letters, negotiating the ransom and finally, actual travel from kingdom to kingdom. Casmir was eventually returned home, though not without his fair share of injury.
> Casmir refused to speak of the ordeal. Not one detail ever slipped from his lips, not to the doctor, not to anyone. They could only assume from his injury. The prince simply locked away the memories in a little box and threw away the key, refusing to acknowledge that it happened at all. He kept himself sane that way, and could not be prodded open by anything or anyone.
> However, every now and then, others would catch a new side to him, one that was considerably darker than any he had possessed before. He had been desensitized to them… considerably.
> By age 11, his parents had begun negotiations with Starlight Academy, a school that Skylor’s heirs had attended since the very opening. Generally speaking, heirs would be sent off at some point in their teenage years, returning to Skylor an indefinite amount of time later with a more vast knowledge of culture, academics, and other important aspects of life. Isabella and Fredrick had planned to send Casmir off from ages 15 to 18, but after the circumstances he had endured, their mind had been changed. They felt that, perhaps, a change of scenery could do their boy good. No matter how he hid it, they knew that their son was not as alright as he showed to them, to everyone, and had been assured for centuries that the heirs would be safe enough while attending. After speaking with Casmir, who had enough pros in his preferences to counteract the cons, their mind was made up.
> They called one of their strongest sages to open a gate into the new dimension, and through this gate, Casmir passed.
He brought along his Alfreds, as well.
