    Personality Description:

  • Despite being 200 years old, Zain is still somewhat childish and just as awed by his magic as he was when he had first discovered it. He does nothing but thinker with magic in his free time, which is all of his time since he doesn’t have a job which requires he spend much time doing it, and his favourite pastime is coming up with new spells or improving his old ones. Making enchanted rings and amulets comes as a close second though. He thus spends most of him time inside his workroom, wondering why exactly did his latest invention explode.

  • Zain is a Warlock and has all of the usual Warlock abilities which are as follows:

    • <br>
    • Ability to cast spells: Zain is able to cast any and all spells he had ever learned or come up himself. At this point in time Zain actually knows more spells than he can actually keep in his head, so he keeps track of them mostly by writing the down in a spell book of his own. When writing them down he separates them by their strength and usage as follows:
      <br>
    • Spells meant for healing: Zain has learned a few dozen healing spells during his life time, but has never actually used most of them. He just likes learning them because they are difficult and could be useful one day. The weakest of the healing spells he knows is a simply spell for soothing pain while the strongest could probably bring somebody back from the brink of death. No returning corpses to life though, he is not a Necromancer. All of Zain’s healing spells are learned. He had never come up with any himself. Also, any spell which is meant to heal a long lasting condition has to be cast repeatedly depending on how long its lasting period is. Sometimes it's every day, sometimes once a year.

      <details><summary>Examples of healing spells</summary>In order of strength:

      • Soothing pain A weak healing spell which will help those in pain feel better. Has a short lasting period and has to be cast repeatedly if the person at which it is cast is in any serious pain. Will easily deal with head and other aches unless they are symptoms of a more serious illness rather than stress/being tired/having overworked himself etc. Zain is quite good at casting this spell due to having had to cast it on himself numerous times for the reasons mentioned above.

      • Fever healing: Will heal anything in the range of a common cold. More serious illnesses need stronger spells.

        <br>
      • Perfect skin: Spell for healing any cuts, bruises etc up to gashes so deep you can see bone through that. A separate spell needs to be used for that, anything else falls under this spell.

      • Mending bones: Spell meant for healing broken bones. For once, this spell can heal everything depending on how much magic has been put behind it. Zain's own spell. Zain knows no other spell, stronger or weaker, for mending bones.

        <br>
      • Closing death's door: A really old, hard, and strong spell which requires a lot of energy to do just as it says: it closes death's door, aka it can stop the person on the verge of dying from actually dying. It however doesn't automatically heal all the damage. Once it is cast, other spells needs to be cast to mend bones, close gashes, re-connect muscles etc, basically make sure the Door of Death won't open again. This spell is only to be cast when multiple spell casters are present as otherwise the patient will be lost, whoever casts the Closing death's door spell being to exhausted to do anything else for at least 12 hours, magic related or not

      • Spells meant for improving and enhancing objects, people and abilities: Most spells Zain knows/has invented are in this category. Spells meant to do improve and enhance do just as their name tells: they make objects, people and abilities stronger/faster/more durable/etc. Most of these spells Zain has pre-stored in his rings and amulets for quick usage.

        In no particular order:

        • Spell that infuses objects with other spells: Basically a spell that helps Zain connect other spells to objects such as rings, amulets and so on. Zain's own spell.

        • Making a person stronger: Improves and enhances physical strength of whoever the spell hits/whoever wears the object that was previously 'filled' with this spell. The amount of time it can last varies, but is never more than 24 hours

          <br>
        • Improving abilities: Works only on gifted people. Makes whatever gifts person has stronger, easier to control, less energy demanding to use etc. When infused with an object such as a ring or an amulet can last a very long time. Otherwise, no longer than 24 hours

          <br>
        • Making things move faster: As it says, this spell will make any person, animal or object move faster than it usually would. Lasts until all magic used to cast the spell is spent. When this spell is infused with an object, it means until magic in that object disappears. When cast it means until the caster breaks it/all magic is drained from the caster

        • Increased endurance: Makes things and people less likely to break when hit, stabbed, shot or otherwise attacked. Lasts until all magic used to cast the spell is spent. When this spell is infused with an object, it means until magic in that object disappears. When cast it means until the caster breaks it/all magic is drained from the caster

        • Spells meant for pranking : Zain knows and has invented quite a few of these spells as well. These spells are weak, benevolent and are mostly meant to be childish and inconvenient. Examples of these spells are a Tickling spell or a spell that can make somebody speak in rhymes. These spells can last anywhere between 5 minutes and a day.

          • Tickling spell : Person hit with this spell will feel like it is being tickled. Lasts for a few minutes

          • Laughing spell : Person hit with this spell with either laugh straight up for a few minutes or will break into laugher at random times during the next 24 hours until all magic used for the spell is spend

          • Sing me a song : Person hit with this spell will speak only in rhymes for the rest of the day.

            <br>
          • Write me a poem : Zain's own variation of the spell above. Person hit with this spell with speak in haiku for the rest of the day.

            <br>
          • Speaking in languages : Zain's own spell. Person hit with this spell will speak in ancient/alien/rare/strange/forgotten languages none can even hope to understand. No translator spell can work as a counter. Person hit with this spell will just have to deal for 24 hours and then seek their revenge on Zain

          • Dark spells While Zain actually does own a book of dark spells he doesn’t know any and has no intention to change that any time soon


          Biography:
          <br>
        • Zain is one of the older residents of the Island. He had spent most of his life here, went through the Academy and decided he liked it. There were a lot of people around after all who could teach him how to use his magic better or help him along as he came up with his own spells (first few tries were quite disastrous and could have been even worse without guidance). At one point during his schooling/ apprenticeship number 105 he had met and befriended an injured dragon who had stopped at the Island to rest and heal before he continued his journey. Upon learning that the said dragon (who was named Ezekiel) had no place to stay on the Island but the forest and forest caves Zain came up with a spell that turned one of the houses at the city which was currently empty in a space that could fit dragons. The house still looked the same on the outside, but inside it was much bigger, each room (of which there was about 20 then, but the number has at least doubled since that time as Zain came up with more and more spells to improve the house) big enough to house an adult dragon. Ezekiel had thanked Zain for that by sharing some the wealth his had acquired with the young Warlock which allowed Zain to actually buy the house he had enchanted along with a few houses around it which he left as they were. Zain now rents rooms of the Dragon House to dragons and apartments in other buildings to people who need them.
