Personality Description:
She almost always looks bored with her half-lidded eyes and straight mouth, but in reality, Ivah is a very panicky person. She is quick in imagining the worst possible scenario and even quicker in assuming it will happen, but you almost never see her worked up due to her natural poker face. Due to this, she tends to avoid taking risks (unless you're talking about fashion). She likes to keep things professional and simple. Because of the nature of her power, Ivah would rather listen than talk. She's also quite the fashionista.
Powers:
Ivah is a skilled empath whose power works through hearing other people talk. When she is talking with someone, she could immediately pick up their emotions just by listening to their words. It doesn't even matter what language the person is speaking. She could feel what you really feel as long as she clearly hears your voice (even though you're speaking gibberish). Her power, however, doesn't work on animals and isn't as effective when she is only listening through technology (like telephones or recorded messages.)
Biography:
Ivah Grace grew up a single child raised by a single mom. Her mother was a seamstress who specialized in wedding gowns. Her mother always told her, "Clothes are character. Dress as who you want to be." That is why fashion became an important part of Ivah's life. It was also the reason why she was quick to judge people based on their clothes.
Her panicky and pessimistic personality also came from her mother. Her mom always warned her about all the bad things that could happen in a certain situation. Camping? What if there are bears out there? What if the camp instructor is a pedophile? What if you get lost in the woods and never make it back? Nope, you're not going. It didn't help that Ivah was an empath who could literally feel her mom's fear as though it were her own.
After her mother died when she was 19 years old, Ivah tried to take over her mother's business but failed, leading to bankruptcy. She quickly turned to using her powers as a last resort, travelling as a 'psychic' who can read your innermost secrets and desires. When she got an invitation to Manta Carlos Island, she took it and decided to start anew.
