Appearance Description:
Thierry stands at 4'2 inches with dark brown skin and dark brown eyes. His hair is done in neat, well-cared-for dreadlocks with beads of various materials in them. When he shakes his head you can generally hear them clatter together, and making a variety of noises. Some beads are easily identified--some are made of plastic, while others are ceramic. One or two appear to be made from wood, and some are obviously colored glass. However, several of them are made of seashells, and ... perhaps bone? And then there are a few that give off an ethereal feeling, as though they are not part of this world, and made of some sort of magical material.
His face is slightly chubby with baby fat, but not nearly as much as you would expect given his age. His upbringing in Haiti post-disaster has a lot to do with that. He has a somewhat broad nose and full lips.
As for his body, he has the body of someone who used to be very thin but recently started to put on weight. As such, a lot of what he owns doesn't quiet fit correctly. It's all slightly too loose in odd places. In general he looks cute, as most children do, but he also has a very slightly uneasy look to him.
Personality Description: Thierry is the virtue of kindness, meaning that he is generally a very gentle and kind soul. Oftentimes he puts the betterment of others above his own, and seeks to make other people's lives as easy as he can. His family is the most important thing in the world to him, and he is always sympathetic to their needs and shortcomings.
That being said, because he's very young, he doesn't always embody his virtue. Despite being fairly sweet and patient, he doesn't know how to come down from being angry, and can stay angry for days at a time. Sometimes he thinks that feeling angry makes him a failure of a virtue, and he will hold on to and try to hide certain emotions and feelings until they stress him out beyond belief, leaving him paranoid that one of the virtues will notice. He's not particularly extroverted, and tends to mutter his dissenting opinions under his breath as he goes along with something he doesn't like, simply because that often feels like the kinder thing to do.
He also has a habit of being snarky or resistant to other people, especially those who criticize his religion. Being born and raised voudun, he's very proud of it and everything about it. However, people tend to think poorly of his dolls, assuming that he's trying to curse them or something equally terrible. It's not uncommon for people who know about his voodoo practices to think he's trying to carve them up for rituals when he attempts to help them and be kind.
Despite his kind acts being basically the source of his power, he honestly believes in his kindness. He honestly thinks that kindness is a powerful thing that he can bring more of into the world.

Tied into his voodoo rituals, the act of doing something kind for someone creates a human-shaped doll. The larger the favor the larger the doll, and the more energy is contained within. This creates a situation where the kinder he is, the more powerful the magic he gets access to is.

Thierry is a practicioner of Voodoo, and most of his powers stems from summoning and utilizing the powers of the spirits that control the world. He can beseech them for favors, ask them for advice, beg for them to use spells on others, almost anything.
The dolls he receives from doing favors and being kind to others is the main "battery" for his powers. A larger doll allows him to do larger rituals, and while he can consolidate many many small dolls for a larger favor, there is ultimately a loss of value--that is to say, using one large doll is inherently more effective and results in more power than using multiple smaller dolls.
He also can curse specific people with the dolls, but given that he's very young, his powers are not fully developed, and although he sometimes attempts to enchant people (for their benefit, he believes) it tends to backfire more than anything.

Thierry was born to two prominent Vodun leaders of the community. As such, from a very young age he was surrounded by the practices of his religion, and bonded deeply with it. He discovered his powers when the Earthquake hit Haiti. He searched frantically for his parents and some form of shelter, his arms squeezing tightly on a doll his mother had helped him sew.
When his small shelter started to collapse on him, the doll in his arms seemed to glow brightly and enveloped him in a protective shelter for a few days until he was found in the rubble. His parents were never found.
He has been with the Virtue family for about a year and a half.
