Aurellie's concerns where something Alice was already poised to address. Two steps ahead of her to begain with, Aurellie's mind and fears where an open book to the Mordrake girl. She smiled a wicked smirk and then giggled a bit. "Oh, your so silly, Aurellie! What I need you for is far more low profile then most of specter's opperations. You see, as much as I'd love to just take over this planet, I can't. You could say earth is unusually well protected by some very big powers, beyond the comprehension of most mortals. Call them gods if you like, but because of there presence and the sheer number of them, I have to move carefully and subtly on this planet, lest I draw their ire." Alice said to Aurellie'. Motioning to a water, she called him over and asked him to bring her a pot of fresh tea., sending him off and then retiurning to her conversation.

"You won't have anything pinned on you, Aurellie' That can be assured. Even if somebody -dose- find out, they can be silenced rather quickly. What I need you to do is to help me with tasks around the school. Starlight Academy, as you should know, is full of people that could be useful to my larger plans. You have the social graces, cunning, and morality required to make them of use to me. I can't be everywhere at once, and thats where I want you to help me..." Alice continued. The waiter finally brought Alice her tea, placing it quietly in front of her before leaving. Taking up the pot in her delicate fingers, Alice carefully poured herself a cup She took a quick sip and then pulled up her holo-screen again, showing Aurellie an image of a Japanese girl dressed in an elegant Gothic dress.

"This girl, Aurellie', will be the first of many students at the school I want you to watch and guide. Her name is Konishi. I know quite a bit about her, having probed her mind. I plan on blackmailing her into my service, however, even with the infomation I can hold over her head she's untrustworthy. I need you to both watch her to asssure she's not trying to pull something behind my back, but I also want you to subtly push her towards acting more favorably to my...no...our agenda, when I ask." Alice said to Aurellie. using her finger, she scrolled to another image, this time of a young blond boy with glasses and a frendly smile on his face.

"This is Oliver. He is a student I have...special plans...for. He will be your second target, and the last one I'm going to give you for now. I plan on using him to my advantage, and I'd like you to help me keep him wraped around my finger. He is a dinosaur shifter who struggles to fight powerful animal instincts. I have mind-hacked him to go bezerk at a very in-oppertune time, and afterwards plan t use my powers to give him a false fix to his instinct issue that will keep him crawling back to me....and you too. You will be free to use Oli for whatever tasks you may want, but only if you help me mantain the act that we actually care about him and keep him tightly in our hands. Alice continued. She called her holo-sreen away and took another sip from her tea.

"Of course, you'll have more tasks as time goes on, as this partnership will be -extended-. However, for now, I want to start small....and trust me, you won't be found out. Nobody at the school even knows what I'm up to, and I can certainly tie any loose ends should theyhappen to show up." Alice continued to Aurellie.

An answer for everything, then, Aurélie observed coolly. And, once again, the situation was so unlike those of the past since these answers actually appeared to be rather reasonable. Though it put her heart at ease to hear that her reputation in public eye would be safe, there was a nagging doubt in the back of her mind because the relief there seemed too great. And the golden haired young lady discovered, to her concealed shock, that on some level, she trusted Miss Alice Mordrake to keep her word.

My, my. I barely trust some members of my family that much. Was the lure of such an encompassing scheme distorting her judgment? That must have been it, yet Aurélie could find nothing wrong with it on the surface. Safety and subtly of course was her aim but in the noble's world, every action carried a risk. And in the darkened places that Aurélie frequented in secret, the dangers multiplied.

But she was not beaten yet.

Turning her contemplation towards the nature of this plan, the aristocrat supposed that having never been involved in something such as this before, her ability to gauge risk factors was understandably put off. Yet where, she thought, does this stand in light of my own plans? Rule the world, yes, from the shadows. Never be the clear leader so that others might be her scapegoat. Keep her pedestal high and untarnished by the common masses. Vague ideas, they were.

And here they were, seemingly offered up on a plate. Aurélie had to admit, however, that Alice Mordrake's initial conditions seemed right up her alleyway. Blackmail? A fact of life, nothing to be particularly riled up over. Pushing people to insane actions that they would never have done in their right minds? An art that she delighted in. Reeling those sorry fools back into her hands? Ah, all part of the fun.

It seemed a little too perfect and Aurélie, as a person who seemed too perfect herself, looked for the holes. The fact that she could find none was suspicious. However, it curiously did not diminish her minute trust in this younger girl.

Aurélie made a slight sound that could have been concession or thoughtfulness. "However did you manage to keep such a thing from the staff?" she asked. Now that was truly an answer she desired. "Students, of course, are so easily misled. Those who have actually mastered their abilities, who have seen the world and its people -those are more difficult." She smiled lightly. "Perhaps not by very much but they still may pose issues."

Like a well-planned out game of chess, Alice had moved the pieces towards her goal. Of course, with such a clear advantage of being able to read the sister's thoughts like an open book, such a feat was simple for Miss Mordrake. Aurellie' was surprisingly easy to manipulate, and that's partly because after gazing into her mind, Alice found that she was quite similar to herself. Sure, there where differences between them, but they both desired power...and in that she had found a mutal interest that she could exploit.

Her sister, however, was a more curious case. Heh...your an interesting one, Adrina. You wrap yourself in the darkness, yet deep within your mind I find light....I also find fear...and a revulsion to my work. Yet...I also find loyalty to your sister, to the point of subserviance. I can use that, but I worry that your fear and..morals..could be a liability. Alice thought to herself as she analyzed Adrina's thoughts.

After taking a sip of tea, she addressed Aurellie's question with the following: "How do I get past the staff? Why, the same way you keep suspicion off yourself, Aurellie. Nobody suspects the happy, energetic little girl to be the one behind Specter! It's all a matter of acting, and keeping my own hands clean. To the world, specter is controlled by the shadow monopoly, the CEOs and business leaders who control the companies that I have under my command. What the world and the school doesn't know is that the monopoly are all my dolls. I lead specter from the shadows, while pretending to be an innocent...and that's how I keep the staff off of me...none of them have even the slightest inkling that I'm connected to specter...it's quite beautiful, really." Alice said, letting out a sinister giggle after her statement. Taking a brief pause for a moment, Alice poured herself another cup of tea from her pot, having finally finished the first cup.

"While I'm glad to have you both as associates..I need to address one concern before we go on.... Adrina and her aprhension." Alice said before turning her attention to Adrina. "I've been looking into your mind too, and I've found troubling things. Tell me...can I trust you not to become a...liability...to your sister and me?" Alice asked Adrina.

Aurélie Fée Perrault (and Adrian Hexe Grimm)

Suspicious, so suspicious, Aurélie thought to herself. The entire situation was simply so full of holes yet as before, the golden haired young lady could not find it in herself to label Alice Mordrake squarely as an enemy. A manipulator, yes, but truly one as great as the one she purported to be? Miss Mordrake was quite a young girl and though she supposed that prodigies were not quite as rare on Manta Carlos, Aurélie was not entirely certain that intellect alone kept her hidden. The aristocrat herself kept under the radar by virtue of being rather conservative in her crimes. Most of the time.

Something was missing. Those dolls of Alice Mordrake, they were another piece. Again, Aurélie found herself wondering the extent of the young girl's control. It was great, she knew, but was it great enough to overcome the defenses of somebody actually trained in that area? Surely there were some of those sorts attending the Academy? Perhaps there were even some among the staff.

Inwardly, the aristocrat sighed to herself. Such thoughts, she mused. Something seemed a little more disorganized than usual. But in the middle of that disorder, she found that her mind had been made up long ago. How troubling. Aurélie was not an especially impulsive person, not for plans as grand as this. She was reactionary but she also liked to be in control and the fact that she was not now was almost surreal. However, it was not as much of a bother as the young lady might have thought.

As Alice Mordrake addressed Adrian, however, Aurélie was put on guard again. Perhaps she did not notice it, but Miss Mordrake had just confirmed what the aristocrat had suspected for a while. Every thought in her head was for naught, then, if the girl could read them.

My, my, Aurélie thought in mild distaste. Dear Alice, there was no choice here at all, was there? Now that truly was loathsome. But Aurélie was not so foolish as to spit in the face of power like this. After all, it was quite pleasant to be on the winning side.

The golden haired young lady held out a hand to prevent her sister from answering the question. "Now," she said levelly to Alice Mordrake. "You should know very well that there is no treachery in my sister. She will do as I tell her, of course."

So full of doupt. Heh. Of course...they have every right to be....but like all humans they are so -easily- swayed by promises of power. After all...man is an animal ruled by selfishness...that, perhaps, is his greatest weakness. The opportunity for greatness blinds him to his doupts and makes him ignore his better judgement....and of course a little bit of magic to give that added push never hurts either. Alice thought to herself as she read the minds of both girls.

"Thats good to here. Of course, while I'd prefer your sister speak for herself, I've looked into both your heads deep enough to know you tell the truth...or at least what you believe to be the truth" Alice said to Aurelie and her sister. She called forth another hologram, this time appearing like a floating keyboard, and quickly input a command. With that a small portal appeared and out of it came a black, robotic raven with glowing red lights for eyes. Alice gracefully stretched her arm out and the bird flew to her, perching stoically on the edge of her wrist.

"This is a Yata-Garasu unit. It's how I'll communicate with you when we can't meet in person. They can turn invisible if stealth is required, don't worry. They're quite smart...for robots." Alice said, smirking like the proud inventor she was. The bird's eyes glowed more intensely and a red wave of energy erupted from it's eyes. In a scanning motion, the beam moved up and down, a pair of two small black orbs slowly materializing in the movine energy wave. As the orbs became complete the field vanished; the eyes of the robot going back to normal. As the black orbs started to fall to the table below Alice quickly caught them and set them on the table in front of Aurellie and her sister.

"Please, each of you take one. If we're going to be in communication you'll need these. By simply calling out for a Yata-Garasu unit in your mind while holding one of these, one will warp to your location. I can communicate with you through holo-chat via the Yatas. Do you ladies have any questions or should we move on?" Alice asked.

I feel like I’m probably repeating a lot of things but…Eleven hour flight plus another five hour one. Thinking is not going well right now. In any case, I’m kind of confusing myself because I was lazy with expressing things in the earlier posts and now it’s kicking me in the ribs.

Aurélie Fée Perrault

Aurélie traded a mere glance with her sister before nodding. The point of no return had long since been breached. Since the only path open now was forward, she saw no reason to dance about this issue any longer. A moment after Adrian took one of the two offered orbs, Aurélie reached out and palmed the other. There might have been certain thoughts going through her head at that moment but the golden haired young lady was quick to dispel them before they could become anything coherent. Perhaps she would voice them later in private. Or perhaps not. Well, I suppose I have always been better at reacting.

“My, my,” Aurélie said as she turned the orb over in her hands studiously. The color of the shell was coal black, not especially lustrous and more on the dull side. There was a foreign sensation to the material and she found that she could not possibly guess what type it happened to be. “How impressive. Wherever did you come by such things, I wonder?” She was not truly expecting an answer but she supposed that even if she received one, it made little difference in the scheme of things. Still, it would be nice to satisfy her curiosity.

The golden haired aristocrat set the orb right down in front of herself on the table. “I suppose that it will take me only a slight amount of time to adjust to how it works,” she said, sitting back a little. “I see no reason at this time why we should linger on it. It would be best to move on, I think.” It was so easy to fall into trusting Alice Mordrake that it was so very unsettling and Aurélie still could not tell whether that was the result of the girl’s powers or not.

Which, she supposed, is most likely an indication that it is. Well, at least she would not be bored.

Checkmate. The game of chess between the two young aristocrats had been decided before it even begun. Such a sharp yet defenseless mind....and your sister mindlessly obeys. What an interesting pair you two are...the princess and the witch...trapped in my wonderland. While you may not realize it now...your just like those dolls of mine... Alice thought to herself as the two girls took the orbs. Of course, she was expecting the question about her technology so it wasn't a surprise. Her inventions where, after all, powerful enough to ensnare entire worlds...and even a tiny display such as this had to be impressive to somebody unaccustomed to such levels of advancement.

"Now now now...that's a trade secret!, Aurellie!" Alice responded in a childish tone, waving her finger back and forth as she spoke. She giggled and then took a final sip of her tea. She reached for the pot, but immediately felt it was empty. She let out a disappointing sigh and then returned her attention back to her new allies.

"Unfortunately, I think we'll have to cut this night short. You have the orb, and you know your assignments. I'll be contacting you soon to check your progress but for now your free to go and have fun with your new missions." Alice said to Aurellie and Adriana. Of course, there was still the whole issue of the dolls. They where still standing there, completely under Alice's control...of course, she'd give them their will back as her allies requested, but not there freedom.

"Oh...and please take good care of my dollies, will you? I'm giving them their personalities and will back, as requested. However...their freedom not so much. I think I'll keep them here on the island for now...when you want them, you can find them in my lair...which reminds me...we'll be having our next official meeting there. I'll give you the details when I contact you next!" With that Alice stood up and left the table, politely waving goodbye as she casually left the table. With a quick snap of her fingers, the restaurant was back to normal...except for the family that she had promised to Aurellie which followed mindlessly behind her as she walked towards the exit of the restaurant.

After retrieving her fur coat and getting back into her limousine Alice road off into the night, her mind racing with new possibilities. As she furiously ground her thumbs into the buttons of her 3DS battling the elite 4 she could not help but giggle with excitement at the new allies she had obtained. I caught a wild Aurellie!...and a wild Adrina too! Yes...these two will be quite useful... Alice thought to herself with glee. You two are part of my wonderland now...and soon you'll learn that once you fall down the rabbit hole...there is no escape! Alice continued to think as she giggled to herself. As her mind continued to spin with possibilities the giggle slowly god madder until it became a full out twisted laugh, echoing through the limo Aurelle's new dolls huddled against each other in fear, their minds full of uncertainty. The little girl started to cry to as her father hugged her tight....and Alice just continued to laugh, lost in her own little world.

With two new allies, the game continued to move forward....and only time would tell if the two aristocrats would come to realize the situation they have thrust themselves into..
