The sound of a lonely piano emitted from the music room, at first anyway. Then within an instant that sound took off and continued into a melody that carried itself through the open windows and doors of the music room as Miya's body moved to the rhythm of her piece. Her hands moving across the keyboard as if she was in a trance. Her body rocked back and forward as she played, moving in line with her hands and each note played as her long hair flowed with each movement of her body, her hair bouncing with each dramatic press of the piano keys.

It was one of the few things Miya could let loose on and fully relax without worrying about anything. The piano was the most passionate thing Miya had and it was clear in the pieces she composed and played. Her movement showed that same passion as she played. A black longcoat was hanging on a nearby chair with a bag on the floor with numerous sheets of paper sticking out, upon closer observation would be numerous music sheets fully filled out and ready to be played. Miya was glad she remembered to get the magical wards on her body today so she could take off her longcoat and play to her heart's content.

Alec did not dare go out under the sun today. The last time he did it, he returned to his dorm room, almost blind and burning. So today, he only wandered around the halls of the school. Never mind class, he wasn't in the mood today. He's been walking around since this morning.

Only a few hours later did he realize that taking a long walk today was a good decision after all. He did not know where it came from yet, but, no matter how faint it was in the wind, he still heard it aloud, that magnificent piano piece that delivered such strong emotions. Sadness, and then passion, or that's how it felt like, at least.

Without any second thoughts, Alec rushed to follow where the music was coming from. He had to be fast, he had to find it before the piece finishes. He ran around the halls and sprinted through the stairs, until finally, he ended up in a hallway, with its silence disturbed by nothing else but the piano.

So there was a music room here after all...

Alec walked to the said room and opened the door slightly, silently, not wanting to disturb the girl playing the magnificent piece. Unconsciously, he opened the door a bit too much wider than intended, and he slowly walked inside. His eyes were fixed on the piano and the girl's back.

"Amazing..."

As the piece came to its conclusion Miya shuffled through some papers on the piano before standing up to stretch from sitting and playing so long. At this time she noticed a boy in the room with her. It wasn't strange for someone to be drawn in by her music and she did love an audience. Gave her direct feedback to her music. Sitting back down on the stool, Miya stared at the boy while tying her bangs out of her eyes.

"You enjoy the music? Well I suppose if you walked in here you were drawn by it at least. So if you don't mind me asking whats your opinion of it? It's a new piece I wrote up a few days ago and I wanted to hear how it sounded before I took it anywhere."

Compared to her normal attitude and demeanor, Miya was full of confidence when it came to her music. The wards were helping as well to bolster this. A smile crossed her face while she spoke. She did love an audience after all.

"You a music fan? Or just drawn to the sounds of my playing? Oh yeah name's Miya, your musician or rather pianist for... Well the moment anyway. And please come take a closer seat. Would rather talk instead of shout across the classroom."

Alec returned the stare. Smiling, he nodded, as he let the music replay in his head a bit more.

"I heard you while I was walking around, so yeah, I was drawn in," he answered and chuckled softly. Alec found this girl Miya funny, but in a nice way, because he appreciated how composed she was about her music.

He went closer to the piano then. He stood just beside it, caressing it slightly. Unfortunately, he did not know how to play. That was actually one of his frustrations. But Paradox had already convinced him that his voice was enough.

"I love music. I sing a lot, actually I sing all the time. But I don't know how to play the piano. It's kinda sad but... It's not such a big loss for me."

His eyes landed on the music sheets. Curious, he started reading them silently, and the music came playing back in his head, again. "This really is beautiful... Oh, how rude of me!" A sheepish smile. He turned back to Miya and held out his hand. "Name's Alec. I'm a senior high school student here, though I transferred only a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know where the music room was until now. Haha! Nice to meet you!"

"Least you didn't just come slam the door shut like a lot of people."

Miya watched as the boy started walking around the piano. At first she wanted to slap his hand and say "Don't touch" but it wasn't her piano so she couldn't really say much about it. Turning back to face the piano she kept her eyes and listened to him. Grabbing onto Alec's hand Miya returns the shake, a good amount of warmth escaping her grip.

"Nice too meet you Alec. And you got a pretty voice huh? Nice. Not a lot of people are confident in their voice so don't try to sing. Awesome to see someone, a guy at that, who is comfortable with their voice. And man don't worry about it. Everyone has their own talents that make them unique."

She had to take her own advice sometimes. She knew perfectly well how unique a person's artistic talents were and there was no real reason for Alec to be saddened by his lack of being able to play the piano. Seeing him going through her compositions Miya scoots the bench closer to the piano.

"Anything sound good to you? I don't mind playing whatever you place before me. When someone who can actually read my music likes something it makes it all the more special to play."

(ooc: go ahead and link something piano-wise and I'll rp Miya playing it :D)

Actually, we can feel TOO confident about our voice sometimes, right, Alec?

Alec grinned. Hearing Paradox's comment in his head, he couldn't help but nod at himself, though at the same time he was nodding at Miya, too. He had felt the warmth of the girl's hand, but at the moment, while they were both so caught up in music, he decided to let his curiosity slip.

"This one, then?" he said, as he browsed through the sheets and found one that was subtle and slow. That type of music was his favorite; after all, he loved singing lullabies and requiems. Although this one wasn't like that, it was still the soothing type.

"So you compose songs, huh... That sounds fun."

"Oh? Alright," her tone showing amusement and excitement all in one go.

Miya took the music sheet and placed it on the stand, stretching her arms a bit as she adjusted her seat. Using the peddles below Miya started to adjust the piano a bit to get the right pitch, hitting a key until she heard the sound she was looking for.

The piece wasn't as emotional as the previous one she was playing. It was more relaxing, soft. Withing a few seconds her hands began to glide across the piano as she started playing the piece. Her body moved softly. Her hands moving slightly to accent the notes she felt needed it. A smile formed as she played.

"To me its really fun. To most, it would be like doing your finals for class. Especially when the only thing I got to work with when I can't use the music room is a program on my computer. Computers can produce the 'correct' sound sure, but the sound of an actual piano can't be beat. Can tell you just for this soft piece I spent perhaps a week and a half on it."

She hadn't even realized while she spoke she continued to repeat the piece a few times. She had almost every piece she had written memorized, just needed the sheet music to get a jump start so she could begin. Even talking while playing didn't distract her from playing off key or playing the wrong notes.

"Ever sing something off the top of your head? Just made up lines as you go? Thinking about it I don't think I've ever written a vocal piece either. I let the piano do and my hands do the talking. Most of the time it's all I need but hey, need to expand my skills. Nice pick by the way."

Alec had pulled a chair to the piano's side and sat down, closing his eyes as the soft music soothed him. It went on and on, but he didn't grow tired hearing the piece all over again. It was amazing.

"That IS fun," he agreed. "I usually just hum all the time. It's more like a habit than a hobby. But I also sing with lyrics every now and then. And... yeah, most notes and lyrics are just random. At night though, I always sing a lullaby to the school. I think some people even mistakened me for a ghost because of that."

He laughed softly, and even that sounded like music. His voice was a musical instrument itself, and he did not have to put any effort to make it as such.

"Say, want to collaborate some time? Wouldn't it be nice if we can actually make a complete song? With lyrics and accompaniment and all."

As the piece continued to repeat Miya couldn't help but smile as Alec pulled a chair over to sit down and relax. The piece was pretty relaxing after all. She didn't want to put the guy to sleep with such peaceful music so as the song came to its conclusion Miya finished playing.

"That was pretty nice. What kind of sucks too is I made other instrument parts and got the school's band and orchestra to play them for me and record the parts without a piano so I could practice with a CD player or computer nearby but I both forgot my flash drive with all my music and they took the CD player home with them today so I can't do that one....Maybe they left that out today."

Miya's right hand found itself under her chin as she got up and started walked towards one of the closets and began looking through. A loud "Yes!" was heard as she came back carrying an electric keyboard.

"So you're who I keep hearing about. Some people keep mentioning a singing ghost haunts this school, though most don't seem to mind as it sounded beautiful. Still creepy dude not gunna lie but you're making people enjoy a nice song or two at night so that's awesome."

Alec brought up the idea of a collaboration. Miya had begun to set up the electric keyboard so she could try one of her newer pieces she couldn't remember where she got inspiration for and suddenly stopped to look at him.

"That's a brilliant idea! We have to get on this and perform it! Woah alright calm down girl, take two steps back and breath. Can't perform what hasn't been made yet. Though I love the idea. Like you have no idea. But for now, let me try to...Alright that's set right. So is this part....Anddddddd."

Miya turned the keyboard towards Alec, mostly because she didn't want to be rude and for the guy to stare at her ass while she played such an energetic song knowing how she gets. And with that Miya went into an upbeat song, her body automatically getting into the grove of things. Her hands gliding across switching between the electric keyboard portions along with the normal keyboard portions, keeping both going at once when it got to that part. She couldn't remember the last time she was truly enjoying herself like this!

Alec watched, his curiosity and interest not wavering even as he got a little confused with what Miya was doing. He could only laugh at himself when he realized she was simply getting an electric piano.

He swayed with the lively music. The whole classroom felt so lively all of a sudden, even though they were the only people there. He even stood up and moved a little bit, wanting to feel the beat a little more, even though he wasn't one who liked dancing.

Miya made him laugh easily. Her passion in music was evident, Alec saw that with her reaction to his suggestion. And he adored her instantly for being like that.

"This piece is really good!" he remarked, referring to the lively music. He went closer to watch Miya play it; he really did feel jealous of how she could create music with her fingers like that.

"Hey, I already told you, you're fine even without the piano."

Alec jolted. He almost forgot about Paradox, just because of Miya's music. An apologetic look surfaced on his face, and he had to turn away a little as he muttered a quiet 'sorry'. Miya wouldn't hear it with the loud music.

I'm sorry, Paradox... It's never happened before...

"It's fine. But you better get that collaboration done. I don't like it when you feel small in front of someone."

"It's not like that though..."

He turned back to Miya after a few seconds. He thought that the collaboration really was a good idea, so he brought it up after a while. He wasn't sure Miya would hear him though. She seemed so absorbed in what she was doing.

"So is that a yes for the collaboration? Of course, we'll perform it after completing it."
