This room was nice. No full-wall mirrors, no unnecessary space, no Dominik, no war right outside the window. For once, Augustus was actually content with his room, or at least the room assigned to him, even though there was no assurance that he was going to enjoy this alone. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, he thought. He'd just have to learn how to control his temper around his future roommate, if ever there was going to be one.
After a few silent minutes, he decided to try resting on his bed on the left side of the room. It was on the corner against two walls, a closet to its foot and a nightstand beside the head area. His nightstand had a few papers there, his phone, an alarm clock, a night lamp. And the three drawers were already filled with his things. Beside the nightstand was the window, draped with a thin and translucent blue curtain that ended three inches above the wooden floor. To the right of the room was the mirror of Augustus' side. But it wasn't occupied yet, so that side was a lot more plain. Augustus never touched that part of the room. It wasn't dusty anyway, and he wasn't one who knew how to do cleaning anyway.
Taking a good look around the whole room, Augustus retreated to the soft surface of his bed and laid down comfortably. But that was quickly disrupted by a sound from the hallway outside, as Augustus had more-than-usually sensitive hearing. Getting up, he stared at the door, suspicious of the noise outside. But he wasn't going to open his door to check.
