It's been ups and downs for Eve these past few weeks. She and Miya had been hanging out, and that made her really happy because she hasn't been able to spend time with other people this way. There was even a time when she'd only become busy trying to keep Deith from harming himself further. The heavy air made her feel unwell. So she's just glad Miya was there for her, even though the younger lady probably haven't realized how much her company meant to the artist.

The day was rather cold and Eve was too lazy to do any art work. She's been staying in her bed room, all wrapped up in a blanket while watching some movies. Her studio downstairs was already organized and clean, no work in progress or anything, so there really wasn't much to do.

While she wanted to go out, Even was just... tired, maybe. And cold. She'd rather stay in the room where it was warm and cozy, and it's not like a day off from art would kill her.

Compared to most people who were out and about in town, Miya wasn't bundled up in the slightest. Her normal attire of her longcoat, jeans, and music covered shirts looked out of place as she was strolling downtown. At first she was doing it for nor particular reason, just a chance to get out and away from her room. Then things started to rear their ugly head in her mind.

It was Christmas time and once again she didn't have anyone to really spend time with. Well, it wasn't entirely true. She had two new friends she had been hanging out with every so often, but it wasn't the same. Most people her age had someone they could at least call up or spend time with during Christmas. Miya spent it alone, with a bucket of Nevermelt Ice Cream, and a good series of movies. Thinking about it she started to get a little sad and unknowingly her feet had began to take her somewhere. Somewhere she knew she wouldn't be alone.

She broke from her thoughts when she stood there in front of the same door she first met Eve, though this time it wasn't open and there wasn't a crying painter on the ground. Miya reached out to ring the buzzer, hesitating for a moment. Should she? Miya didn't want to bother Eve anymore then she did, but today she felt more lonely then normal.

Her finger reached out and rang the buzzer for Eve's home, something that shouldn't have been any more difficult then when she normally did. Today felt different, but maybe that was just her mind being weird.

The buzzer was connected to small speakers in the kitchen, in the living room, in the studio, and in the bedroom. So Eve instantly, though slowly, stood up from her bed the moment it rang, dragging herself up, and down the stairs, to open the door to the outside.

"Yes, who..?"

Her words faded into the cold air as she saw Miya standing there. Unlike the first time they met, the painter greeted her with a wide grin and a friendly hug, before pulling her into the studio, and up the stairs to her receiving area.

"So glad to see you, Miya!" she said as they walked, "What brings you here?"

The apartment was still as classy as Miya first saw it. And no, no Christmas decorations. Eve turned off her heater, knowing well by know that she didn't need that when Miya was around.

"I'm just watching movies so why not join me?" she said, motioning for Miya to follow her in her bedroom, where the tv was. She was really happy to see the girl; it made her wonder why she didn't contact her in the first place.

Miya stood there smiling when Eve opened the door and rushed out to hug her, which Miya returned just in kind with a little extra warmth to balance out the cold air. She wasn't entirely prepared when Eve dragged her inside and up to her waiting area. Miya should be used to it by now, but it always took her by surprise how forceful Eve could be sometimes.

Miya watched the ever same routine of Eve turning off her studio's heater which Miya took her longcoat off to balance out the heat in the room before letting it sit back to a normal level. It was still weird for her to be adjusting her heat as much as she did, but was glad Eve didn't mind it. Hell it seemed she really enjoyed when Miya did it. Then again with the cold who wouldn't like having a walking heater as a friend?

"Sure. And sorry for dropping in unannounced. Just...Yeah."

Miya followed Eve back to her room, a little uneasy about why she was there. Well, it wouldn't hurt to say it but she didn't know. Eve looked really happy to see her, more then usual it seemed, so Miya didn't want to ruin that at all.

"What's that 'sorry' for? You know you can drop by anytime. Even when I'm working. I love the company." Eve was still smiling brightly at Miya. There were some snacks and a pot of hot milk tea on the end table near the bed, and the movie, which Eve forgot to pause, was playing. The artist grabbed for the remote and passed it just then, so Miya can settle down for now and she, in turn, would focus on her first.

"Miya, dear, you don't sound okay. Is everything alright?" At the realization, a worried frown masked over Eve's face quickly. She went closer and held the girl's hands, squeezing them gently. "Please tell me if something's wrong."

Miya lightly scratched her chin with her index finger she she took a spot on the bed for herself. She had started to become a little more comfortable around Eve and wasn't as worried anymore about burning her home down. She was wearing even less wards then normal since winter made her powers far easier to control then normal.

"Almost said sorry again."

When asked what was up, she had to pause. She came here to maybe get cheered up and at the same time see how Eve was doing. She didn't really tell anyone about how her winter time was...Maybe it was time.

"Well...Umm. How do I put this. I mentioned that I'm an orphan right? With very few friends to boot. So I just get....Bummed this time of year. Anyone I talk to normally has something going on around Christmas, but...Let's just say I stay at home with a tub of Nevermelt Ice Cream and only leave my dorm to restock on food. And lots of ice cream."

Miya had crawled underneath the blanket that was there while talking wrapped herself inside it. It wasn't like she wasn't a festive person. Just couldn't really be festive alone. Least she had a neverending supply of music supplies that came in every Christmas.

"Oh."

Eve's frown faded just a little, but the sadness in her eyes couldn't go away just easily. She's always been so soft on Miya, and matters like this easily broke her heart.

She reached out to Miya, patting her head gently and proceeding to petting her.

"You could've told me sooner. Say what, from now on, you can't, and I mean you CAN'T not spend the holidays here anymore. Okay?" She smiled at her, before throwing herself at the girl and giving her another tight hug. They've become really close over the past few months, and while Eve loved her art the most, she's caught herself finding Miya as a close friend to be just as important.

"Don't be sad, Miya! I'll always be here and as you can see, I don't have anything going on for Christmas, except movies and tea and snacks... Do you want some?"

She pushed herself up then, heading to the end table where the fancy tray with the fancy teapot and saucers and cups and food were. She poured some of the hot drink for two cups, and carried the tray, leaving the huge teapot behind, to bed closer to Miya. "I have tons of movies by the way. Do you feel like watching something in particular?"

Miya wasn't startled by the pat on the head. She felt comfort from someone she hadn't had in the longest time. She didn't mind the petting either. Miya was just lost in the comfort, though was startled a bit when Eve started hugging her. She wasn't used to that entirely yet either, and it made her worry she might burn Eve just by this much contact. Which her minded wandered to the revelation a few days ago.

"...I...Thank you Eve. It's..."

Miya's voice was starting to get a little shaky and tear filled. It really made Miya feel extremely happy and wanted at the things Eve was doing. There was not enough ways she wanted to express everything Eve meant to her and was doing. Things Miya felt glad and had missed growing up for almost ten plus years without.

"Snacks? Do you really need to ask that question considering I almost clear out your cabinet every time I come over? Wish this metabolism of mine wasn't so extreme. Least I never have to pay for food for the dorm since the Academy covers my insane eating habits."

When Eve came back over with tea and snacks Miya opened the blanket for Eve to crawl underneath as well. Miya had practiced and trained enough over the past few months that she could keep her powers better maintained around cloth and other flammable everyday items. That and she didn't mind snuggling up with Eve under a blanket and being almost her personal heater since she had turned off the heater to the studio.

"I don't really have anything in mind. Don't dislike anything either so I'm good for any movie. Unless you have some cheesy romance movies we can chuckle at, better then most comedies out there."

Despite what she had said, Miya still felt jealous of romance movies and how things always worked out. She just wanted someone to do those things for her and to have that feeling of love. Then again what orphan wouldn't?

@Trahnael figured the demon magic stuff can wait for a bit :P
