Adelene didn't know about the spell in the roof, so of course Tennis was immediately a bad idea to her. She offered a confused stare, before turning her head back straight toward the direction they were taking.

Besides, she, too, hasn't played tennis before. "Why tennis?" she asked Lochlann. She honestly didn't get what Lochlann was going for, or where his ideas were coming from. To her, at least to her, they didn't sound all that good for the moment. "I bet Anastasia would prefer food. Anastasia what do you think?" she turned to Anastasia, a question mark wrinkling her brows.

Lochlann gave the two women on his sides an affectionate squeeze. He'd missed Anastasia's face earlier, and he was always in good spirits when he was around Adelene, so Lochlann was a little more affectionate than usual.

"Ladies, please," he said. "If you've never played before, you two can be on one team, and I'll be on another, and the loser will have to....well okay wait, I don't think you can actually win or lose at tennis. Or is it bad-mitton? Whatever one has the rackets and those...."

He searched for the word. "Birdies. it must not be tennis. Regardless, the roof is a GREAT place for it, trust me on this. Nothing bad can happen on the roof."

He disentangled from the two of them so he was a few steps in front of them, and then turned around so he was looking at the two women while walking backwards, his hands tucked into his pockets.

"We can do it after lunch, on the roof," Lochlann said. "C'mon, it'll be fuuuunnnn."

His grin widened further, waiting for their responses. He was not going to take no for an answer.

He certainly was very... affectionate. At the moment, she'd much rather be a good two or three feet away, but she was struggling to find a way to actually say it. Was it too rude to tell him to get off? Should she ask him to get off? Was it normal? It was hard to see Adelene on the other side of him, but she hadn't made any protests (or at least not any Anastasia had heard).

Thankfully, all her worries were for nothing, as Lochlann let go, separating himself from them. He didn't even seem clear if it was tennis, and Anastasia was starting to get the sneaking suspicion that the tennis part didn't actually matter. There was something else going on, and her suspicion no doubt showed on her face.

"I think Adelene is right. Food first. We can do... sports on the roof after, but if we just go up there, where will we get the food?" Lunch on the roof sounded fine, but it wasn't as if the food was going to appear out of nowhere. They would have to get the food first.

Adelene wasn't that comfortable with Lochlann being all touchy either, even though she usually didn't mind. He felt different today, the weird kind of different. She couldn't quite point a finger at it but whatever was different, she didn't like it.

Thankfully, he let go. Adelene put her hands in her pockets and walked as casually as she has been, but the look on her face was enough to say that she was slightly bothered. He was also being somewhat too pushy about playing tennis.

She glanced at Anastasia again, attempting to read her take on the situation. She looked suspicious, and probably just as bothered. "Uh..." She turned her eyes back to Lochlann and smiled apologetically. "Right, what Anastasia said. Besides, I'm not done touring her around the campus yet. Loch, can't that wait another day?"

"I told you," Lochlann told the two women. "I'll take care of lunch."

He clapped his hands together and then pulled them apart slowly, waggling his fingers to imitate falling confetti.

"It will be a surprise. Besides, aren't you two both hungry now?" Lochlann asked. "I mean, wouldn't the tour be so much better with a detour to the roof for some roof-tennis-or-bad-mitten and a picnic?"

Despite the fact that he was walking backwards, Lochlann kept a steady pace and managed to avoid crashing into anything.

"What parts of the tour do you still have left to do? Probably all the boring parts." Lochlann stiffened his posture and talked in a falsetto that was probably supposed to be mocking Adelene. It was made worse by his inability to stop smiling throughout the entire thing.

He made wide hand gestures as they walked.

"And if you look to your left, Anastasia, you will see the women's lavatory. We call it lavatory here because we are a fancy school that people pay way too much money to go to because there are no other options, and this way it sounds like we offer quality commodes. "

He tilted his head back and laughed. His Addy impression was really horrible.

"But no, seriously, what else do you have left for the tour? What else could be more exciting than THE ROOF?"

Anastasia was indeed hungry, although she was sorely tempted to say that no, she wasn't hungry, just to worm her way out of whatever Lochlann had in mind. She'd only just met him, but she'd already decided he was up to something. He was practically broadcasting that he was up to something. He couldn't have made it much more obvious if he'd put together a sign that clearly indicated it.

Anastasia could speak English just fine, but the majority of Lochlann's joke flew right over her head, mostly because she had no idea what a 'lavatory' or a 'commode' was. Her face scrunched up in confusion, and after a moment she decided to just ask. "Lavatory? Commode?" Yep, the joke had gotten a bit too far past her grasp of english. She could function just fine and most people would consider her fluent, but there were plenty of lesser-used or archaic words that she'd never heard before.

She finally let out a sigh. "Let us just got to the roof and have the picnic." And then maybe Lochlann would settle down.

Adelene reacted differently, of course. She understood perfectly well what Lochlann just did; if they were alone he would have been instantly dead. But she didn't want to look like she had short temper in front of Anastasia, so despite her burning face and the creepy crawling she felt on her disturbed skin, the worst she attempted to do was to pick up a twig from the ground and throw it at Lochlann's face. Her aim was, of course, a hundred percent accurate. And she hit him on the bridge of his nose. "That's not how I was touring her around, you know!" She glared at Lochlann briefly.

Rolling her eyes away, she made it look like she was actually pissed off. But really, she was just embarrassed, and somehow guilty about the boring part. "He meant the toilet, Anastasia," she said, crossing her arms over her chest. She made a small huff, one that resembled her own sigh. "Right, lunch, I agree. Loch," she turned to Lochlann, "you're apparently the cool and not-boring person here, so why not lead the way?"

Lochlann tried to duck when Addy threw the twig at him, but instead it hit him right in the bridge of the nose.

There was a smile on his face and a glint in his eye that probably revieled to both Anastasia and Adelene that Lochlann had done that knowing full well that it would make Adelene mad.

He scurried to the other side, putting Anastasia between them, his grin never disappearing.

"YES!" he punched the air, happy that he'd won, and Lochlann took off at a near sprint down the hall and pivoted around the corner, but then he both had to wait there for the two girls and because his leg had started to throb.

He took a moment to fish a few pills from his pocket and dry swallow them, oblivious to the dosage. It's not like he'd overdose. He just needed the pain to subside so he could make the stairs.

When the two girls would round the corner, Lochlann would be posed against the wall, making it look like he'd been waiting there for years, though he was still favoring his good leg.

"Lunch should beat us there," Lochlann said, checking his phone. "Do you think it's too early for wine?"

Anastasia seemed to have missed something, and she squinted in confusion as Adelene whipped a stick at Lochlann's face. She'd definitely missed something. It wasn't until Adelene explained the words she'd missed that she clued in. He'd been insinuating Adelene's tour had been boring, and Anastasia bristled slightly, scowling at Lochlann.

"The tour was very useful - what matters is that I can find things." The tour had not been terribly interesting, but that also hadn't really mattered. What mattered was that she didn't get lost, and that she was able to find what she needed easily. Adelene's tour had been fantastic in that regard.

Anastasia frowned even more when he ran off ahead, and she glanced to Adelene but opted to keep her normal pace. No point running off ahead to catch up. No, if he was running ahead it was probably to get something ready.

But they rounded the corner, and there he was. So what was the point of him running ahead? Lochlann was certainly a strange one.

She wasn't phased by the mention of wine. Russia was fairly usual among European countries in that there was no legal drinking age, only a legal age to buy, but rather unusual in that any drink that was only a *bit* alcoholic was not considered alcohol. Anything that wasn't hard alcohol was easily purchasable. Beer, cider, kvass... all easily accessible if she felt the need to pick one up.

Beer had only been considered alcohol a few years ago. "No, wine for lunch is normal enough."

Lochlann looked like he was reacting quite exaggeratedly for this; when he took off, Adelene's face twisted to a bewildered frown, but brushed that off with a shrug. She turned to Anastasia. She felt like there was suddenly more air around them again, more space, more freedom, less Lochlann trouble. And then she felt thankful that they were left in peace, even just for one moment.

"I'm sorry..." Her hand unconsciously went to her nape and started rubbing, hinting she was somewhat tensed. She laughed, albeit a little forced. "Good to know that I was helpful with the tour, Anastasia. For a moment, I was really feeling terrible."

Her hand dropped to her side as they made the turn where Lochlann went out of sight. But he was just there, waiting for them, looking all smug while leaning against the wall.

Wine for lunch reminded her of her first picnic on the roof. She was with another friend back then, and she was the one who insisted to have the drink. So of course, "It's never too early for wine."

Anastasia seemed like she was okay with it anyway.
