A light wind blustered through the leaves of the forest, creating some of the only sound that could be heard in the forest. It seemed very calm, as if nature had simply decided to ignore the giant wave heading towards the island. At least that's how it appeared at first glance, an astute mind would be able to pick up on the subtleties of the situation. No birds were singing, no small animals ran through the trees, there wasn't even the buzzing of insects between the trees. There was only one sound that that could possibly be attributed to the creatures of the forest.
A dull roar of trampling feet.
While most of the wildlife had sensed the danger and fled already, there seemed to be one group of creatures that were still on their way. A swarm of Lonelies crashed it's way through the brush around the trees. Big and small, male and female, hundreds of the creatures ran decidedly, instinctively towards higher ground. They had seemed to have abandoned everything about their preferred social order in favor of survival as they stampeded up trails and through the woods.
As they made their way towards safety.
