・・ APPEARANCE ・・
The mirror just about looks like any other antique mirror designed for one with particular tastes. Its rather small in size despite it being a wall-hung mirror, oval in shape, about a foot in height and some seven to nine inches wide at most. Its reflective glass has nothing special to note for but what makes it identifiable is the silver frame that holds it. At the front, here are eight thorn-like designs that pop at the middle of its body — although looking at the bigger picture, it seems like a spider hugging it from behind which appears at the reverse side. At the top of it is a spider-like decoration, appearing to be a black widow. The bottom has golden rims decorating it. This mirror was likely owned by a spider enthusiast and commissioned it to be made.
If someone looks at the mirrors reflective surface long enough, they could possibly see the mirror's true appearance. That is, if they actually know what they're looking for. Pheles, as he has named himself takes the form of nothing but a cloud of black smoke. Within the mirror's reflection, he can choose to appear as a shadow. If you saw an out of place shadow in the reflection, there's a very high chance that's him showing himself. He has no way of getting out, so the most he could do is appear in reflections.

・・ PERSONALITY ・・
Although the mirror seems like any other decorative item, the mirror has its own personality. After all, the mirror is possessed by a conscious spirit. The mirror may not be as expressive as the next sentient object but he definitely knows how to make his presence known.
Pheles often appears to be extremely passive. He never really speaks unless spoken to but it doesn't mean he never acted on his own. In actuality, he is a malevolent spirit, finding amusement by tricking the eyes of anyone who dares come near him. He hasn't truly inflicted harm on others but it's not unlike him to torment an individual to insanity.
He would sometimes act a bit courteous and friendly than one would expect a demon-possessed object, going as far as to sit through anyone who just needs to let their heart out (though the thing about this is that he would relay these to his master when they turn out to be important information.)
Pheles is undeniably loyal to his lord and master if he determines them to be worthy of his respect. He is devoted and follows any of his orders without question. He never actually acts on huge decisions unless it is ordered to, making him the perfect puppet for anyone who owns him.

・・ POWERS ・・
Magic Mirror
Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? If you got the Snow White reference, then you know how this mirror mainly works.
The mirror can act as a scrying medium to anyone who asks him of his service. Anyone can see current events through the mirror without requiring a spell, incantation, or a ritual. Pheles requires a command to be used for scrying and revealing it in the surface of the mirror. He might like spying on people but he doesn't feel the same about idle gossiping.
Although, just as he is able to show images of real life on his reflective surface, he is also able to alter reflections. Remember when you thought you saw your reflection blink? What about that shadow that scurried from behind? Better check if your mirror isn't possessed by a demon because that might just be his tricks. And you better hope that it is.

・・ SPECIES ABILITIES ・・
Demonic Possession
Pheles is a similar existence to demons — the only significant difference is that he is so weak in comparison to the others, he doesn't even have a solid form to materialize into. Instead, he possessed a mirror. Pheles can transfer temporarily to other mirrors as he pleases as long as it is within the relative dimension and he knows where they are situated. He can stay in other mirrors for as long as he likes but he would be dragged back to the mirror he is bound to just by being called out.
Pheles can remain alive as long as the object he is bound to exists. He is weak, but he is powerful enough to repair nearly any damage done to the mirror. If the mirror is destroyed, he can repair it like every other haunted item that miraculously fixes itself in horror movies. The only way to permanently rid him is by magical means: first is by destroying the mirror, and then him.
Other than his capacity to be a talking mirror, Pheles is also able to use telepathy. For the weak minded, he is able to search their thoughts when they look into this glass long enough.

・・ BIOGRAPHY ・・
Pheles is a demon that came to existence long after Hell was created. A concentration of malice from the human realm. But he was mostly scrap — so weak compared to most demons that he couldn't even take his own shape in their own realm except but that of a cloud of smoke. Having a low potential as a demon, Pheles was, for the most part, cast aside in favor of more powerful demons.
How the mirror came to be was from a little game gone wrong by kids who didn't know what they were up against. Children were never supposed to play with anything they can't understand. It must have been harmless fun: trying to summon some magical force to help them see their soulmates or something. It was supposed to be harmless fun.
Unknown to them, they had summoned a demonic entity into their world and unwittingly sealed it into the mirror they had used. Pheles was... admittedly baffled by this. He played along, no doubt, but after all the giggle fits, what next? He was left out; cast aside again after having their little fun.
Kids should never deal with forces they don't know.
Pheles lived in that mirror for god only knows how long, passed down through generations and generations, sold and bought, auctioned, sealed away, all since they'd found him to be cursed. It was a strange ride, he'd say. Along the way, he'd run into many things - possessed dolls, cursed jewelry and many others. He particularly liked Annabel the doll, he was quite the charmer if he had anything to say; it was such a shame he had to be shipped away. He would have enjoyed hearing more from him.
Ahem. So anyway, moving on. He didn't really know when he got shipped off. He didn't quite have a good sense of time in this realm but he knew power when he saw it. He knew where he was delivered to when he was brought to Manta Carlos after an antique seller had bought him off, figuring the people of the island would find more interest in such an item like himself.
He eventually did find himself a new owner: A demon that went by the name of Gabriel Baltimore. He couldn't quite place though if he was happy with this turn of events or it's something he should be worried about.
