Lanslo said good bye to his parents, and his little sister. he was going to miss her, and he promised to keep in contact. He walked into the school. His parents had never considered him to special, until his ability to become a wolf came into view. He was only aloud to be one outside, that way he wouldn't get fur over the place, even though it didn't come off to much. They'd kept his powers a secret from everyone but trustworthy family, who wondered what he did in wolf form. It was a simple answer to Lance. Anything he couldn't do as a human. Of course, he couldn't do everything as a wolf, not even close, but he had the whole wolf package, which meant excellent smell, good eyesight, and hearing as well. He used these things to help himself when he was outside, doing a case. He also had the speed to help him. he didn't usually have need to run to fast though, he never had any emergencies. Lance broke out of his thoughts, and back to where he was. Ahh, yes, the school fro the gifted. He looked around the room, memorizing details and storing them away in his thoughts. He was handed a clipboard with a bunch of paper on it. He was supposed to fill it out? It'd be done in a snap. He sat down and started writing away, flipping the pages faster quickly. When he'd filled it out, he handed the clipboard back to the desk lady. She said she'd have to go get a room number or something, so sit down and she'd be right back. He sat down again.

'What an interesting room' he thought. He wondered what the dorms would look like. He'd pretty much memorized the whole room, and so he decided to start quizzing himself. Calculus first, then trigonometry. After those questions maybe he'd do some Botany. He closed his eyes, questions flying through his head. He needed to quiz himself, as to remember everything, and be able to answer any question on the spot.

<div align=center>It was early in the day, sunlight filtered through the dusty windows and cascaded across the floor. A girl skittered down the hallway, staying dead in the middle and trying desperately to avoid the little patches of sunlight covering the ground. She paused very briefly to tug one of her stockings back to her thigh, since it had fallen just a little. Her timetable was empty today, all she could think of to do was go and cause trouble among some of her classmates, then again what else did she ever do? The girl stopped again. Arabella wrinkled her nose up, what was that smell? A look of disgust crossed her features, and she paused in the middle of the hallway to try and figure out where it was coming from. It was strange to her, the smell was reminiscent of wet dog and raw meat.

Her eyes focused in on a boy, she'd never seen him before so she figured he must be new. I hope that isn't coming from him. She wondered why no one else had said anything, the woman behind the desk seemed to be completely oblivious to it, Arabella shrugged lightly, pulled something from her shirt and took a moment to spray it around herself, masking whatever smell was hanging in the air. It was a sweet scent that came from the little glass vial, the scent could perhaps be compared to roses. "Oi," she called, stopping about three meters from the boy and scowling, "what are you doing?"</div>

Question after question, as fast as he could think of them, he could answer them. Sometimes he even argued with himself on the answer, promising to check a text book later.Ah,how he loved reading from textbooks, one of his favorite pastimes! That and being outside in his wolf form, observing the tiny details of things. He could sense the presence of someone, and hoped it was the desk lady. Instead an obnoxiously-toned voice interrupted his peace.

"Oi.......what are you doing?"

What was it to her? He figured as he opened his eyes. He looked at her. She didn't look as mean as her voice, except her unwelcoming scowl, and he prepared himself for observation. Her long sorta blonde hair, her eyes and her outfit, he noted them and stored them away in his brain. He'd be able to put a "file" name on it once he knew her name. It would seem creepy if some one knew what he was doing, but it wasn't. Most people can't remember of person's name when they meet them a second time, let alone the exact details of what they were wearing, and that's what made Lanslo so special. 'What's it to you?' he thought to himself, not annoyed, but curious as to her random grumpiness.

"I'm quizzing myself on questions from calculus, trigonometry and botany. What are you doing?"

He noticed that the desk lady returned, and probably hadn't wanted to disturb him because he looked like he fell asleep. That's what most people thought, but they were incorrect. His brain was at work, thinking, planning, scheming and all sorts of things the like of that. He stood up, paying attention to what the girl was saying, and walked to the front desk, where the woman gave him the key. He smiled kindly muttering a soft thank you as not to interrupt the girl, and sat back on his chair. He looked back up at the girl, leaning back comfortably, and fluffed his "flip". He always had it styled like that, and if you were looking at him, you'd know that it pointed to the right, although it was the left to him. He played with the little key that had his number attached to it, and memorized his number. He spread out his trench coat a little and watched the girl.

<div align=center>Arabella studied the boy for a moment, he wasn't bad looking, he had a nice face and a nice body. She sniffed again, shuffling closer and tilting her head at him. "You smell funny." She stated, plainly. At least she thought it was him, the way she'd said it hadn't been particularly rude, just a little bit brash. That was her mannerism though, most didn't really appreciate it, but she didn't much care. She tucked a stand of long, light hair behind her ear and smiled sweetly at him. A misleading sort of look, if you cared to find out her true intentions. Though truthfully, she didn't know what her true intentions were right now, the scent he gave out suggested to her that he wasn't human, or at least that he had a non-human aspect to him. She got the feeling he'd probably be able to work out what she was, too. Though as soon as she flashed her teeth, it was easy to figure it out.

She shrugged as he asked her what she was doing, her eyes locked to his, and one of her eyebrows cocked up. "Oh, this and that." She answered, nonchalantly, her brow creasing very slightly. "What are you?" She asked him, taking a few more steps forward and staring at him. Perhaps she shouldn't have asked that question this early on, but Arabella's social boundaries weren't exactly the best thing in the world.</div>

Lanslo was a little confused at the girl's manner but he didn't let it bother him. He blushed at the fact that she commented on the smell. He hadn't noticed it to much, maybe because he was used to it. He didn't usually smell like that, because he kept very clean in both human and wolf form.

"I highly beg your pardon, I wasn't able to take a shower before I got here ,and that always gets rid of the scent. I don't usually smell like this." It was true. Before he'd left for here he'd been playing in the snow down his area, in wolf form, and hadn't had time to properly clean and dry. He pulled some cologne out of his carry on and sprayed it on him. Hopefully that would last till he was able to clean himself, very well. " I have an unusual amount of intelligence, and I can shift between human and a British Columbian Wolf. I keep the same mind set, so I don't change when I'm a wolf. I've never met another one, but I know that we're endangered. It's pretty sad." It did make him sad that his kind was endangered, well not his human kind, his wolf kind. People were always interested when he told them that, usually they backed away until he made them understand that he didn't act like a wolf. Being in a wolf form made him happy, because it was awesome, and it made him feel like a man. He watched the girl tuck s long strand of hair behind her ear. "That's uh, some pretty hair you've got" he said nervously and awkwardly. He was always shy around girls. She was a pretty girl, but she didn't seem to be the kind that would get offended or weirded out.

<div align=center>It was most likely that most of the people he'd come across wouldn't be able to smell it, so she supposed he was lucky. Arabella stared at him, fiery eyes scanning every inch of his body, silently judging him as one might a prize bitch. She shrugged, was he a werewolf or a shapeshifter? She went with the latter, he hadn't said anything about being a werewolf. He was polite enough at least, unfortunately that couldn't be said for Arabella. She was not known for her sweet and endearing nature, she was nasty and she didn't generally think of other people's feelings before words came out of her mouth, either she didn't think or she really didn't care. Perhaps it was a little bit of both. "Ah, so the wolf meets the lioness." She purred, leaning forward and shooting him a toothy, wicked little smile.

Arabella generally didn't take offence over anything, but if you insulted her you could probably expect to feel the wrath that came along with her anger. It wasn't the insult she disliked, it was always the thought behind the insult. Arabella was arrogant, and any attempted damage to that ego of hers would of course make her incredibly angry. She smiled sweetly, and tucked her hands behind her back. She liked compliments, mostly because she thought she deserved them entirely. "Why, thank you. It's a lot of work looking like this every day, you know."</div>

Did she just say something about being a lioness? The girl seemed smaller compared to him, but sometimes that meant they were all the more feisty. Yes, that was probably the case. Lanslo didn't usually use his ability to shift to a wolf as something to threaten people, especially because he kept the same mind tract as he did when he was human. To him, her eyes looked slightly fiery in color, and also the different ways she shaped them. He figured by now this wasn't your typical sweet teenage girl, and she had a special power that defined her. As a matter of fact ,when she smiled she had rather long sharp, fangs? He watched her carefully. She was probably a vampire of some sort. He never understood those creatures, not that he'd run into one before today. He watched the vampire girl. She was quite pretty, but looks could be deceiving and Lanslo figured that was the case.

"Why, thank you. It's a lot of work looking like this every day, you know." Lanslo smiled, but shrugged at the same time. " I don't really know, it only takes me five minutes to perfect my flip every day." She fluffed it up a little, making sure the gel was still fresh. It was always an important thing to check on, at least once every two hours. He couldn't imagine how long it would take if he had that much long hair. Of course, he wouldn't ever have to worry about that. He like his hair average guy length, and that was how he was going to keep it.

<div align=center>Arabella spent a lot of time making herself look pretty, though she probably didn't need to. Her beauty was effortless rather than anything else, the things she did to herself just seemed to radiate it a little more. Lanslo was an attractive boy, however, and attractive people were Arabella's favourite kind of company. Most of them couldn't really stand her though, she wasn't altogether described as friendly, unless of course she wanted something from you. She liked to get her own way though, and she was rather good at it. Arabella had a reputation about her, despite that, many seemed to trail after her and were desperate to get on her good side.

"Ah, effortless." She answered, clasping her hands together and giggling softly. She shot a small, flirtatious smile at the boy, lifting an eyebrow and playing idly with a strand of long, fair hair. Her other hand moved down to flatten her skirt, it was short, hitched up around mid-thigh. "It's nice to be able to be pretty without trying, isn't it?" She purred, running a hand through her hair and leaning forward very slightly, pastel-red eyes studying the wolf-boy's features. The smell wasn't all that bad after a while, it was merely foresty and musky. Like the way it smells in a wood after it's rained.</div>

Lanslo was quite sure he couldn't understand this girl. Although, understanding girls-humans- completely, was something even the smartest couldn't do. There was always a different personality type in a person, always new behaviors. Although they'd only been talking for a minute or two, he was sure he'd never seen this style of behavior before. It was a mystery he was challenged, and accepted. Effortless. How interesting. Even he spent a few minutes with a bottle of gel to get his hair to stick the way he liked it.

"It's nice to be able to be pretty without trying, isn't it?" Lanslo was at a loss for words. He wasn't sure what to say, but he started talking anyway. "Well, I can't say I have much experience being pretty, but it's not to hard to get my hair the way I like it."

Lanslo was never to big on himself. He din't consider himself more handsome than most, or really better than anyone. He was just your average super- intelligent- can turn -into- a -wolf guy. not that he ever bragged about it. The girl didn't seem to be bragging, just satisfied with the way she looked. Nothing wrong with that. And, she was a very pretty girl. He watched her twirl a strand of light colored hair. Her eyes seemed full of mystery and, well, he didn't know what those other emotions were. Maybe he'd find out?

<div align=center>Arabella nodded, with a small, mischievous little smile upon her features. The girl most likely just wanted something from the boy rather than anything else, her was giving her attention and she liked it. It was best to let the girl have her own way, she tended to get just a little cranky if things went the other way, Arabella stopped being so cute and fun when she got cranky. She was nasty underneath her pretty face, though despite her reputation, she still seemed to have a little flock that followed her around, desperate to get close to her for some strange reason.

Arabella on the other hand, was huge on herself. She was vain and arrogant, and if she could date herself when she very well would have done. She couldn't see anything wrong with that, it was good to love yourself. Though if her ego got any bigger, she'd probably have end up having her whole head weighed down by it. "Don't experience it?" She asked with a laugh, "look in a mirror, honey." A smirk crossed her face, and she prodded him in the forehead with a single finger. There was an air of electric in the air, though that was probably emitting from the vampire girl rather than anything else.</div>
