Personality Description: Nikki is a team girl. She is very concentrated on what she decides to do, and is a very hard worker. When she realizes she can not do something on her first try, she will try, try, try again, until it is perfect. She's used to working on a team, and she'd always ready to give a pep talk, and encourage any members who are down.
Leadership/ Responsibility: Being the best in the whole program was never easy, and Nikki was always a team captain. Nonetheless, she is a team player, not one to boss everyone around. She knows when the take control and speak out, but when to let others direct and control. She's always open for suggestions, and wants to make sure no one is left out. She doesn't not act like she's better than any of her team mates, but treats everyone the way she wants to be treated.
Encouragement: It wasn't easy pouring out her young self to perfection. That's how she's able to understand and encourage people. While she does not have the gift of empathy, she does understand what her team mates might be going through, and she works according to each situation. Some just need a pep talk. Some need advice, and an example of how to preform their problem move properly. Not matter what it is, Nikki is always there to do her best to make it right.
Gut determination: Goodness knows Nikki is not a quitter. Gymnastics is not a sport for the weak and easily winded, and Nikki knew that, even as a six year old when she started junior training. From then on, she was determined to work hard, perfect her routines and become the best. If something is not perfect in her eyes, redo the whole thing. Practice until it is perfection, and then practice some more. You'll never see her bat and hand and turn away when she fails something, rather, get back out there and show 'em the what for!
Downsides: Sometimes Nikki forces people into doing something they don't want to do. If encouragement isn't enough, than sheer force will do it for her. She can be a little proud sometimes, boasting on her successes and skill. She secretly does not like it if you are or think your a better athlete than her, because she will put you to the test. She's terribly competitive, and dislikes losing. Although, she's trying to be a better sport, she still may give you the silent treatment if you beat her.
Powers: Nikki has the ability of speed as her strong power. Not only the ability to run fast, but the gift of speed in general. She can run at the speed of sound, around 767 miles per hour. It also enables her to climb things quickly, and to swim quickly. Of course, the weaknesses can be found in the weaknesses section. It's easy to miss something if she's looking for it as she isn't fully trained in working with her powers. Her weaker power is- endurance. She was lucky to get this one. Her power would be rendered useless, because she would tire too easily. However, with endurance she can run fast for a while, and not get winded. However, she needs proper nutrition to re energize.
Biography: Nikki some of her life when she was six, and after. she loved watching the gymnastics that came on, and she would always be found afterward, making her own routines. She is very flexible, able to put her foot behind her head, to eternally lasting arches, and even walk on her hands. So, her mother decided to let her join gymnastics for juniors when she was six. She was one of the best children there, and even her coach was surprised by her skills. She loved the sport, and from then on, it was her life. Her sister, older than her by two years, was always her biggest fan. They were best friends actually, and shared their hopes and dreams. Her sister, Amy, born with amazing intelligence, always wanted to be a technician for NASA. While she hit the books, studying and studying, Nikki rushed to finish her home work so she could practice her moves, and make up new routines. Things were pretty steady for Nikki and her life. She never missed a practice except for family get togethers and the week trip they took to Alaska. When she was the young age of ten, Nikki landed off the balance beam wrong and broke her ankle. It was terrible pain, and she was rushed to the hospital immediately, and forced to stay off her feet for weeks. She missed about two months worth of practice at that time, crying straight through practice hours. Then, her mother took her to the gym so she could watch her team mates, and learn more, gaining head knowledge and not just physical training. When she came back, she was to avoid the balance beam for a few more practices, but allowed to do the other events. Her two favorites were floor and vault. How she worked hard to get her routines perfect. Well, life was the same for her after that, nothing too drastic happened. Here mother told her she should do different things at home instead of just practicing, and talking to her friends about practices. So, Nikki dedicated more time and effort into her home work, and started reading tons of books about gymnastics. She decided that she needed to know all about the sport to truly do it well. When she was thirteen, the junior Olympics came around. Her team, as they were called the "Starbursts" won first place that year, and Nikki earned three gold medals individually. Her mother, father, and sister all knew that Nikki was a special girl. She had an amazing gift and talent, but when she was fourteen, the realized just how special she was. She was running a race with her sister, when all the sudden an extreme burst of speed hit her. She shot ahead of her sister clocking it at 35 miles an hour! Better yet, she didn't stop for a long time. She was so surprised she was running to fast, but yet, she was not tired. She ran around at the same speed for half and hour until finally, she managed to slow down and stop. By now, her parents had seen some of it, and couldn't believe it. She wasn't even breathing hard after such a run. "I feel great!" she told them. Alas, such gifts could not be shown. Her parents knew they had to do what would hurt their daughter most- take her out of gymnastics. Nikki was so upset, she locked herself in her room for five hours, not talking to anyone. She finally got over, although she was still very upset, and she continued to work, even harder, taking on more challenges, and even trying the new sport of soccer. Of course, she wasn't allowed to that publicly either, but that didn't stop her from practicing. When she was 17, and just two months before she came to the academy, Amy left to go to college, and major in technician stuff. Nikki was terribly lonely, and when her parents told her about this, she agreed in a heart beat to go. Finally, a chance to let herself out free, and express her inner awesomeness!
