Pooka decided that then would be an ideal time to wake up. He trotted over and jumped up on the bed. Mery rubbed his ears for a quick second, then got up to feed him.
Mery nodded gratefully. She was beginning to get dizzy and lightheaded. She climbed back in bed. "Thanks." She croaked. A second later she got up and ran to the bathroom, barely making it before she threw up.
Oh, man. That wasn't good. Nicolas immediately went to the bathroom when he heard her throwing up, not exactly knowing how to help her. He had never heard of someone throwing up when they had mono, but he supposed it was possible. "Mery? Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked her softly.
Mery shook her head when he asked if he could help. She'd never heard of people throwing up when they had mono, but then, she didn't really know much about mono. She shakily stood up and flushed the toilet, washed her hands and rinsed out her mouth. "Can you help me back to bed?" She asked quietly.
Nicolas nodded. He wrapped an arm around her and helped her back to her bed, hoping she would be alright. He would have to ask a nurse later if it was bad that she had thrown up, since he didn't know, and she doubted that she did as well. "You should probably try to get some sleep," he told her.
Mery realy didn't want to sleep, but she crawled in bed and nodded. "Yeah, I guess I should." She moved her pillow a little bit and closed her eyes. "Thanks...again." She whispered.
Nicolas offered her another smile. "You're welcome," he said. "I'll talk to you when you wake up." He was tempted to kiss her again, but didn't do so, since he still didn't feel like getting sick. "Good night." Alright, so it was morning, but who cared? He couldn't exactly say 'good morning', since people usually said that when someone woke up, so all he could really say was good night.
Mery woke up about an hour later. "You still here?" She asked Nikki as she pushed herself up to sitting position. Pooka nudged her hand and she started petting him.
Nicolas smiled widely when she woke up. He had just been watching her as she slept in case something had gone wrong, or in case she had a nightmare. He could at least help her out if she had had a bad dream, which he was kind of glad for. "Yes, I'm still here," he said. "Did you sleep well?"
