Mery sighed, but didn't argue. It would be better to prove that it was just a cold then to have Nikki worrying about her until she got well. "Oh, fine." She said resignedly. She sniffled again, now getting very aggravated with the sniffles, coughs, and the pounding in her head.
Good, she hadn't argued. He was glad for that. As soon as they reached the hospital wing, he got a nurse, and asked the woman to just see if she could figure out what Mery was sick with.
"Alright... what's wrong? How do you feel?" she asked Mery, waiting for any sort of symptom. Either way, the girl would probably need a blood test, just to be safe.

Mery half smiled. "Runny nose, sore throat, my muscles hurt, my stomach hurts, my head hurts, I'm really tired, and I think I might have a small fever." She told the nurse. "Sorry to sound so whiny." She said.
The nurse smiled. "It's ok, you don't sound whiny at all," she said. "Now, I'm just going to take a quick blood sample..." With that, she grabbed a clean needle and gently took Mery's wrist, taking blood from her. As soon as it was full, she walked away, saying she would be right back.
Nicolas nodded. "You don't sound well at all, Mery," he said quietly. "You should probably just rest in your dorm..."

Mery shrugged. "Will you stay with me?" She asked. She dreaded the boredom of laying in bed all day. It was almost as bad as being ill.
Nicolas nodded his head. "Of course," he said with a smile. His eyes turned away from her when he saw the nurse coming back. "Well, that was fast..."
The nurse looked between the two of them, coming back with a small bottle which contained medicine, her eyes finally settling on Mery. "Alright... well, the blood test shows that you have mononucleosis. It isn't usually fatal unless you have a bed case of it, which I'm sure you don't. Just get plenty of rest, and take one of these at least twice a day." She pointed to the bottle of pills after speaking, just waiting patiently for any reactions.

Mery nodded. "Ah. I see. Wait never mind. That's a stupid expression." She rolled her eyes and told the nurse 'thank you' before leaving with Nikki. "Thanks." she said softly.
"No problem," he said. "Now, if you're tired and your muscles hurt, you really shouldn't be walking..." With that, he scooped her up into his arms, holding her bridal style. He smiled, tempted to kiss her right then, but refraining from doing so, only because he didn't want to get sick as well. It wouldn't exactly be great if both of them were sick. "I love you," he told her quietly.
