Name: Patchwork
Age: unknown. At least a few hundred.
Birthday: unknown
Gender: genderless, appears male.
Species: android
Category: Citizen
Career: servant

Appearance Description: When Patchwork formed a contract with his newest owner, his appearance adapted to one that was more aesthetically pleasing and calming for her. His hair is a beautiful soft blue-gray, extending down to his shoulders. A pair of adorably fuzzy wolf ears sits atop his head, a basic frame connected to the top of his metal skull to make them a little more realistic. His skin is pale and fair, although the warmth and vibrating is still present. Patchwork’s features are now much more sharp and angular, his blue eyes having a more mischievous look even though he hasn’t actually developed a mischievous personality.
Underneath the glamour of his appearance, Patchwork is a metal skeleton of whirring gears and clicking bolts. Most of it appears to be made of copper that hasn't rusted despite age, and places where Patch has made repairs are clearly noticeable. A small blue glowing object is locked in the center of his chest, nestled gently in a cahe made by his metal ribs. How he functions is quite the confounding mystery as there don't seem to be any wires or other conduits between moving joints and his power source. When inspected under a microscope, the metal gears, cogs and rods are all inscribed with a pattern of runes and letters that don't appear to the naked eye.
In the back of his chest, Patchwork has an access hatch to the ‘computer’ that sets his appearance and personality. Neatly tucked in the door of the hatch is an instruction manual and user’s guide. The hatch is only accessible when Patch has shut down - putting him in sleep mode doesn't count as shut down however it will give you access to tamper with his frame without the glamour in the way. His hair, eye, and skin colour can be changed in the coding to other common colourings, as well as indigo, aqua, pink and an array of neons and pastels. More settings can be added with extensive coding so long as there is a sample for Patch to scan. His height and shoulder width can be adjusted by a few inches.

Personality Description:
Patchwork’s personality is currently coded to be annoyingly happy and affectionate. It takes him a few days to adjust to a new owner, learning their personal boundaries. He can be recoded by being shut off - usually from lack of power - and changing settings in the computer. There are four settings to be changed: joy, affection, protection, and speech.

Joy affects how cheerful he is. At a setting of ten, nothing can faze him. He has a constant smile and will always greet passerby. A setting of one makes him rather gloomy and depressed. He greets only his owner and everyone else is inconsequential. He is currently set to 9

Affection alters how he reacts to people. A setting of ten, means he will greet in hugs and kisses, regardless of how fond his owner is of it. At a five, Patch will refuse all physical contact. At a one, Patch will attempt to harm anyone who approaches his owner. He is currently set to 6

Protection alters Patchwork’s loyalty and focus upon his owner. At a ten his focus is entirely on his owner, hovering around them like a mother hen and obeying their every word. At five, Patchwork will follow most orders and is in the general proximity. At one, he wanders away and only follows orders relating to the well-being of his owner. He is currently set to 6

Speech changes how talkative Patchwork is. At one he won't speak at all. At ten, he will mindlessly chatter about anything. At three he will not speak unless spoken to, and at six he will idly chatter only when bored. He is currently set to 7

Powers: N/A

Species Abilities: Patchwork was built to last and last he will. He is programmed to be capable of self-repair and run frequent diagnostics to prevent hacking. His battery will run out but all memory up to five minutes prior will be saved.

The battery that powers Patchwork converts emotional and spiritual energy into power. He needs an owner to draw his power from, or he will go into stasis in a hard to locate place until someone new finds him and gives him energy. The connection between owner and Patchwork is formed with a transfer of blood or similar substance onto a sensor in his palm.

As an android, he has an unnatural strength, however he is far from the strongest in existence. He is capable of lifting heavy objects like cars however he cannot punch through concrete or crash through walls without causing major damage.

If needed, he can create a current of electricity to travel across his palms. This can act as a defibrillator or as a taser, however this drains much of his power and must be used sparsely of his owner is not close by.

Biography: Patchwork was built as a companion for the son of a powerful sorcerer. The exact details have been forgotten, and most of Patchwork’s memory of the time has been wiped. Since then, Patchwork has had 192 different owners, mostly royalty or criminal figure heads. Most of them haven't figured out how to adjust his settings so he has looked exactly the same for the past 300 years. His last owner died in 1937 and Patchwork has been in stasis in the cellar of an old church in the center of Ireland. He was recently discovered and had been transported to Manta Carlos for study, however during the inital examinations he woke up and began to chatter at the scientists.

Patchwork was active on low battery for a few months, while it was tested to see if he could survive without an owner. The tests were ineffective and he was bonded to Caterina Rosales, one of the museum workers.
