Nova
"Not to worry! I have no clue what I am doing." Well, technically that was a lie. She originally had no clue what she was doing, but it was easy to just copy Ling. Plus, she knew other dances, but was afraid that they were so strange and unheard of that they were not worth trying. And even if they were originally from Earth they would be so outdated that they would be forgotten by now.

She glanced at other couples- and singles, for that matter- on the dance floor. Most were dancing faster and more energetically than the two of them. And who was very energetic? Nova was! She picked out a random couple in the crowd and stared at them for a moment. One of them twirled the other around. Nova wanted to do that.

So, standing on her toes, she attempted to spin Ling around. He was not really that much taller than her, but without warning him beforehand made it difficult to execute. The move ended not nearly as gracefully as Nova had planned, but instead of being mortified she just laughed at her failure. "Well, that is not as easy as it looks!" she pointed out. "We... might need to work on that..."

This whole situation was unexpected, he seemed to connect with this girl, a spark of something. "You're being modest, you're doing very well," he said with a charming smile. He leaned in a bit, "beautiful and a skilled dancer, plus you're intelligence, you're very talented."

They continued their dance, "everything here is new, strange to me," he chuckled, "well except for magic, I grew up with it."

He blinked in shock as she tried to twirl him, it didn't really work like she expected, and grinned and chuckled along with her. "Yea.....we can practice whenever you want," taking her hands he lead her into a faster paced dance.

"This is fun though," he grinned a bit, happy to be here with someone his own age. "Do you like going to parties?" he asked wanting to get to know here better, "this cruise is kid of one big party," he said with a small chuckle.

"I'm sorry if I'm a little awkward," he said his nervousness and more shy side showing a bit, "still adjusting to being around people my age."

Every moment more that she spent dancing with Roland seemed more than a moment, felt like months. Her steps were now mostly natural, and she had gotten used to the buzzing that her form felt when she touched. A connection, to be sure. But of what variety? What WAS this?
"I'm glad to know that I am following the steps well," she smiled, it turning goofy as he sent a charming little grin her way. And then there was the matter of the blush that spread across her face. "You yourself are very graceful, and charming to boot. This is... Very new," she decided on saying. Because, well, it was true - Aswan had never felt this before. "We will learn together." A little hesitant smile.

Grinning he lead her out of the living space and back onto the deck. "Do you like the ocean?" he asked, wanting to get to know her better, "I love flying above, it's so blue from up there," he looked at her, "So beautiful."

Once they reached the restaurant, he opened the door for her and followed in, "looks great," he said smiling, his eyes shimmering a bit. "Let's find a table."

"Yeah, I do like the ocean. Watching it is just so... calming. I never really saw it much before i came here but now i spend most of my time reading at the beach." She didn't notice him looking at her, she was too busy looking over the edge of the boat. After they stood watching it for a little while, he lead her off again and this time they ended up at the restaurant. The food smelt delicious. They managed to get a table in the corner and Elizabeth opened up her menu, scanning the list of food.

Nova
Nova laughed. "I think I need more practice than you can give me. Maybe dancing is not my best talent," she said. As the two of them transitioned into a quicker dance, Nova had to focus most of her attention on the steps. Luckily, the moves were repetitive and there was no twirling involved yet, so she picked it up easily. Soon enough she gathered the confidence in her moves to look back up at Ling.

"Yes, it is great!" Nova was having a great time on the boat. She was surprised at how easy it was to find a guy to dance with and how quickly he asked her out. It was different to how she would have expected it to be but she just went with it anyway. She thought about the party question for half a second before saying, "I love parties! Parties are fun! ...Yes, it is a bit like a party."

Giggling, Nova said, "Awkward? Did you see my failed dance move before? You are not awkward! And really, nobody cares if you are! As you said, it is a party!" Nova did not really go for the classic romance. She was young and as far as she was concerned, thought love was just enjoying the company of another. And what did she enjoy more than fun?

He smiled, "thank you Aswan," he may not have blushed, but those compliments meant just as much to him.

"I would like that very much," and there it was, a spark, he was developing early feelings for this girl. "I can.....teach you about magic you wish. There's so many different kinds."

He looked at her, "I was uncertain about coming to this island," he smiled and give her hand a gentle squeeze, "but now I'm very happy I came."
@Ashes

He couldn't help but smile bright, at this strange yet somehow, truly remarkable girl. "You seem to be picking it up faster than I ever did."

"I hope to go to more," he said talking about parties, one of many thing they didn't have at the monastery. "Mayb we can go to some parties together?" he asked, he was already enjoying being around her

He chuckled, "it was adorable," he said referring to her dancing fail. "Yes, let's just enjoy ourselves," so the boy raised to be monk drew her closer, enjoying the dance and the presence of his dance partner.

Nova
Ling's smile was contagious and Nova felt a grin appear upon her face. "I have done other dances before! This one is actually more similar than I thought it would be." She continued to dance along to the rhythm of the song, feeling Ling's hands in her own.

She looked up at him, eyes filled with happiness. "Yes, I would like that. I was told some people throw a lot of parties at Manta Carlos, so there will be no shortage of them." Then she tilted her head to the side and smirked. "We just need to be friends with those people." She joked.

"But seriously, I do not care." She figured that with the right people, she could find anything interesting.

In a mock annoyed voice, she said, "You dare mock my sophisticated dance moves?" Her face broke into a smile and she laughed.

"Do you think the others are having as good a time as us?" She asked about Roland and Aswan. They were probably having fun, they seemed really happy together, but she could not imagine they would be enjoying the cruise as much as Nova now was.

"It is the plain truth," Aswan pointed out, smiling softly. What WAS this?! It nearly drove Aswan insane, to not know, to not instinctively know, what she was feeling. This sparking touch that was more comforting and soothing than anything else - wait. Aswan's eyes lit up. What if it was magic? Magic, she reasoned, would make logical sense, purely because it made no sense whatsoever, or so she had studied. "I would love to learn magic." Sincerity dripped from every word, although it made her all the more confused. Ah, well. She could sort this out on her own when she went to her room after this... Oh.
There it was again, that spark, in the form of him squeezing her hand gently. "I'm glad you're here."

“I love the stars!” Adelyn said with a giggle, looking up at the sky even though it was the middle of the day as she thought for a moment, then added: “Maybe we should stargaze tonight!”

She then turned her attention back to Stefan, her ears twitching as she listened to him but also to the sounds of the ocean around them.

“Cliff jumping?” Adelyn’s eyes widened as she imagined what that must be like. “That sounds amazing!”

Now she wished she could try that, but there weren’t exactly any cliffs on the ship. Right? She was pretty sure there wasn’t.

“Umm…” Adelyn looked around. “Gosh I don’t even know. This ship is so big. Is there anything you’d like to go do?”

-

Storm felt a similar ‘mushy’ feeling inside when she watched Adelyn spin. A feeling that was simultaneously pleasant and incredibly painful. She leaned against the railing, still looking down at the two teens before Haru spoke to her.

“You’re asking me on a date and just called me pudding pop? You need to change your strategy.”

Storm laughed, but there was no denying the blush in her cheeks despite her teasing comment. And she only got redder when Haru reached over and brushed something from her face.

“Are you really asking out on a date?” Storm asked, quietly.
