Hunting for a Good Meal {Night}

Ravi managed to dash out of the forest and into the city, though in his panic he was leaving quite the trail for Thresher to follow. He quickly scaled a nearby building, standing tall to get a sense of direction. When he found his bearings, he shifted into his rat form and took off down a phone line.

He was panicked, and didn't think to simply slip into the sewers now. It would be more difficult to track Ravi now, that there wasn't soft forest dirt for footprints, but smell would likely still be the easiest way.

He was in need of a good shower...

Thresher padded out of the forest, following straight down the middle of the path Ravi had left in the brush. He had cooled down some now, leading more with instinct rather then anger, but this probably didn't make things better for Ravi. Thresher was hunting now, stalking after his pray.

The giant wolf circled around a little, picking up the scent more fully as he crossed onto concrete. He tracked Ravi's path over to the building, which seemed to confuse the wolf for a moment as the trail seems to stop there. Thresher's eye eventually traveled up the building and to the power line. Standing on his hind legs he caught a whiff of the trail in the air, presumably from the power line, and began following along while occasionally standing to check the trail again.

Ravi sped down the lines, before he reached the underground, leaping off and running along the roof an old burned-out building, before jumping off and escaping into a sewer grate.

At least, that was the plan.

Ravi took three steps, and the roof collapsed, sending the boy falling down to the first floor. Luckily, he landed without too much injury, but it knocked the wind out of him. Ravi lay sprawled out on the ground, a few cuts and bruises along his body.

He struggled to catch his breath, and tried to stagger to his feet to continue his escape.

Thresher picked up speed again as the scent became stronger. His paws began to beat against the pavement as his ears picked up the crashing, impulsively assuming it had something to do with his prey.

Round the corner, bursting through a doorway, and lunging forward onto the poor boy. The giant wolf pinned the poor being beneath him, growling down at the rat.

Ravi had shifted back to his human form as he staggered up, the momentary pain and surprise making him lose hold on his animal form. He was just about to switch back when the door exploded inwards, a giant wolf leaping in and pinning Ravi down. He tried to shift, but the wolves paws were resting on his sleeves, right over his cloak. He looked up at the wolf, fear beginning to fill his eyes.

Was he going to die here? Probably. Ravi started struggling nonetheless, trying to free himself.

Thresher slowly lowered his snout towards Ravi, the growling intensifying as every instinct he had screamed for the wolf to clamp down on the rats throat. A quick snap and everything would be finished, this one would pay for his crime and wouldn't be feeding off his game anymore.

But no, that wasn't what he should be doing, not to this one. Thresher gnashed his teeth together and slowly pushed back the predator. Slowly he shifted back into his human form, his hands growing around the boys arms and hauling him upwards onto his feet. "Alright boy, I'll let the police handle you this time." The hulking man began dragging the poor rat bodily through the streets.

Ravi was immensely surprised when the death he was expecting didn't come. He was even more surprised when he was hefted up by his arms, being dragged along. Ravi continued to struggle, digging his heels into the ground. It was in vain though, seeing as Thresher was far stronger than he.

"L-let me go!" He chittered out, still struggling against Threshers grip. He squeaked at one point when his foot-wraps caught on a grate and almost unraveled.

Thresher ignored the squirming bundle under his arm. He'd given him plenty of chances to explain himself, and he was done with this chase. He was going to hand him over to an officer and be done with him, whatever happened after that.

He managed to locate a cop after a little while of searching, and simply walked up and held the boy out to him. "I caught this one poaching in the forest, take him in." The policeman just sort of blinked, he recognized Thresher since the wolf was more or less in charge of the woods, or at least an authority there.

Whatever he was going to do, he decided against arguing for the time being and just took the boy from Thresher. The wolf then just turned around and began to head back towards the forest, what a day.

Ravi continued squirming in Threshers grip, his struggles increasing in fervor when the cop came into view. Ravi was handed over to the cop, and set back on his feet before being handcuffed. This is when Ravi got an idea.

Thresher had turned around, and Ravi put his plan into action. He swiftly brought his knee up between the officers, catching the poor lawman in his most sensitive of places. Ravi then used this opportunity to sprint off into the distance, the handcuffs jingling behind him as he quickly disappeared.

The wolfman would hear the officer groan in pain, and then rapid footsteps as Ravi ran off.

Thresher would just let out a sigh, followed by the low growling once again as he turned to once again chase after the rat. Slowly he stepped past the officer, his fists balling at his side and shoulders rising as the muscles tightened in his arms and back.

He already knew he wasn't going to catch the kid with speed, it was just going to have to be his tenacity that caught his prey. Again.
