Leon's gaze followed hers as it rested on the blood bag. Well, that would be a bad thing to leave the hospital without being fully "refilled." He knew a thing or two about the effects of bloodloss and injuries related to it. Leon was about to talk again when a Nurse came into the room. Leon took a few steps back and watched as she did her thing. He wasn't entirely invasive and did his best to keep out of the way.

As the nurse was leaving she had stopped and looked at him, asking him their relationship. He smiled back at her, "I'm her boyfriend."

There was nothing else to say or add. Nothing else was needed. Even if that wasn't the case he would still have been here for Adelene. Friends were always there for another no matter the situation. After the nurse left Leon went back over to Adelene and sat back down next to her.

"Hmm. I know you want to leave, and I would love for you to leave as well. But for now, you need to rest and I need to keep you company and happy. So just say the word and I'll find something that allows for us to do both. Your ever faithful knight is here."

When Leon answered the nurse, Adelene blushed so brightly as if she didn't even lose any blood. She knew why the nurse had asked; they probably wouldn't allow visitors to stay for too long if they were normal friends or only acquaintances, but Leon wasn't like that. When Adelene woke up, the first thing the nurses took from her was a person to contact, or technically a guardian. She had given them Leon's name and contact info.

Before leaving, the nurse only muttered, "I see," and nodded, and then disappeared. Adelene put a hand on her face and rubbed her warm cheeks until they were back to normal.

Leon's words made her chuckle. "Alright. How about some real food? The nurse gave me some a while ago but they didn't taste too good," she said lightheartedly. "Oh, and I hope you don't mind if I made you my guardian. I mean... I don't really know who else to give them."

Leon had been around Adelene long enough to know the signs of her trying to hide her blushing, which always made him smile inside far more then outside. It was still adorable the way she would still try to hide it from anyone and everyone, but it was part of her own personal charm and he loved it.

"Food? I can get my parents to bring some of our baked goods. Sure that'll be good for real food, for now at least."

Now it was Leon's turn to turn blush. Her guardian? Well he personally didn't mind that she gave his number to them to call, but it just felt...Weird. Now if she had said his parents knew they wouldn't give it a second thought. He began to scratch the back of his head while trying to hide his own blushing face.

"You know as well as I do Mom already considers you a second child, so I don't see any harm with it. It's alright. Better you give them someone's number and address over no one. Now let's see about getting you some food."

Leon pulled out his phone and dialed his mother's. His parents were in the waiting room down the hall and had picked up almost immediately. They had been waiting for some word from their son about Adelene, but did their best to give the couple room so they can talk between themselves.

"How's our little Addy?"

"She's...Well I can explain later. Just know she's alright and getting better."

"That's good to hear, I was worried sick when you ran out of the house like that."

"Sorry a-"

"Don't apologize. You're your father's son after all. He would do the same thing. Then again he did when I was about to have you."

"And then some."

"And then some indeed. Is it alright for us to come in now?"

"I got a favor to ask first. Mind running home and sneaking in some spicy loaf in here for Adelene?"

"Spicy loaf? Oh right she does love spicy food doesn't she? Alright. Give us about twenty minutes and we'll bring some in there. Anything else you want us to grab while we're at the house?"

"My sleeping bag, the portable DVD player, some action movies, and that box sitting on my workbench in the garage."

"You really spoil that girl, ya know?"

"I am my father's son after all. Anything you want to say to Adelene before you go?"

" We'll be in there soon Addy Dear! And with some real food, not that hospital crap. Yuck."

As per usual Leon had the phone on speaker so Adelene could hear their conversation as well. When Robin hung up Leon simply scooted closer to Adelene and gently wrapped his around around her shoulders.

"And now we play the waiting game. Or another game if you want to."

"A-Ah... Leon you don't have to make them bring so many things..! Aunt Robin, you don't have to..." Adelene could only protest during the phone call, but something about it already told her that whatever protest she was going to make, all of them would be useless. Leon embarrassed her sometimes, and at random times, mostly because things he did were things she'd never expect. They were all part of his nature, and were definitely some of the things she loved about him. But still, bringing something like a sleeping bag to the hospital wasn't something she often heard of, and she felt quite awkward about it. It was like Leon was planning to camp out in this room with her. And while she appreciated the gesture, the idea also added some weight to her chest, while her thoughts can't help but wonder to things such as she being too much inconvenience and trouble.

Moreover, it was just plain weird.

"You know," she spoke again once the phone call was over, "you don't have to stay here for too long. I mean... you have more important stuff to do. And I bet the hospital staff won't let it anyway."

She grunted when Leon put an arm around her shoulders. She was really trying not to make the pain obvious, but her bruises and cuts were too severe to ignore. Despite that pain, she still wanted Leon close, and she tried her best to nuzzle comfortably against him.

"Waiting game sounds good... I don't feel like doing anything else."

Leon gave her one of his normal looks when they were alone. More important stuff huh? Leon had a priority list he kept in mind and right now Adelene was the first spot on that list. Anything else he might need to do can wait. He could tell from when he first walked in how much she didn't want to be alone at the time and that him being there was making her feel better.

"Well considering you have me listed as your guardian, I don't think they would complain if I stayed here to look after you. I would rather be here if you need something or need company. You're too precious to me and I don't like seeing sadness on that face of yours."

Leon had heard the grunt, and eased up his arm a bit so it would hurt her as much. He kept forgetting she was pretty injured all over and he had to be as careful as possible when sitting there with her.

"Waiting game it is. Not trying to sound weird or anything, but think of all some of the awesome scars you may have after this. Not to mention I, well, do find it a little attractive seeing a tough lady with scars. Makes you look super tough too."

Leon's honesty getting the better of him, but if it made Adelene embarrassed again then it was worth it. Leon enjoyed seeing that look on her with only the look of joy on her face topping it. He had to think of how she would react to the latest gift he had been working on. This time something she can hold onto when he wasn't around.

Leon easily got what he wanted. Even before the mention of scars, Adelene had already begun to feel her cheeks melt again, just by hearing his sweet, protective, and caring words.

She was slowly moving her hands to her face. The red refused to go away, and instead only deepened as Leon continued to speak. And with the heart monitor connected to her, the beeping it made also became faster. Scars had not yet crossed her mind until now, but if he never brought it up, it would only haunt her in the future with unnecessary anxiety. But since he did, even before that could even happen, Adelene could only feel relief, and embarrassment, and laughter bubbling up her chest. She couldn't help but imagine Leon seeing all the scars her injuries would leave her, even those normally hidden by clothes.... And that shamed her inside.

"S-Scars aren't that awesome y-you idiot..." Adelene hid her face altogether, a muffled noise escaping her as it seemed like smoke was beginning to rise above her head. "You sound like you're looking forward to seeing them..."

Leon started to lightly laugh. He was great at noticing how she was already, but hearing the heart monitor slowly rise in its beeping was just priceless. Hiding her face just made Leon just want to hug her tightly and kiss her on the cheek from it. When she finally spoke Leon had to scratch his head to think about it....Oh. He didn't think what he said through again. Well that was a thing.

"Really? Well...Umm. I wouldn't be lying if I said yes. I mean, it's not like I care too much for looks. You have a personality and a gentle heart. That's what drew me to you in the first place. Sure they would look badass, which I really hope your mind didn't wander to something else."

Leon was embarrassed a bit as now even his own mind was starting to wander a bit. The scars that would normally be seen was nothing really, but picturing the ones under her clothes that were normally hidden....Well now his face was starting to turn red, but he wasn't afraid to let it be seen. Alright he moved his head to the side a bit and just whistled innocently.

"So another point to my brain not thinking things through? Heh."

@Trahnael I'll bring Leon's parents into the next one. Just trying to get a few posts done before I gotta sleep.

"Eh... It's fine I guess..." Adelene shrugged, and tried to look like she meant what she said, but the beeping from the heart monitor refused to slow down. She wasn't conscious of it, however.

"By the way," she continued, thinking she should just keep talking to shoo away the awkward atmosphere that was building up. She still had other things to say, after all, and this moment might as well be the perfect timing for that. "I can remember something now, from my childhood. Not... Not all, but I know something now, at least."

The beeping was ever so slowly beginning to normalize. Adelene turned her head to the window, staring far into the skies from where they were, even though she knew it could do nothing for her to find the people she wanted to see.

"I know I have a father and a brother... out there," she added. "I wonder if they're still looking for me though. It's been twelve years."

Leon raised an eyebrow. She had memories that came back? Leon smiled larger at this great news. Always being an optimist Leon was sure they were looking for her or still had hopes about her. Still, Leon was going to support her either way no matter how much he embarrassed her.

"Well that's wonderful news. I'm sure they would be still looking or at least hopeful that you're alright. Still it will be nice to meet them when you meet them again. "

"And we'll enjoy meeting them too."

Robin walked back into the room with Jason in tow, both of them carrying the things that Leon had asked for. Jason walked over to Adelene and gave her a small hug, Robin a kiss on her forehead. They both wanted to come in and do this earlier, but decided Leon should have time with her alone. After both backed away they took their own spots against the wall on either side of Adelene.

"You feeling alright Sweetie?"

Robin was worried, it was clear on her face. Motherly instincts started to take over as she stood there and kept making motions to feel her forehead but kept hesitating. She didn't want to make her feel anymore awkward considering the heart monitor was going rather quickly when she came in. Oh the teasing she wanted to do now.

"My, my what has that son of mine do to make your heart go so thumpity thump?"

"Leon you didn't say scars look sexy did you? Or that you'd put on a nurse outfit just to take care of her?"

"Oh come on!"

Leon just stared at his parents. This was not a good time for them to be teasing Adelene! Or maybe it was, who knew? Leon's face was starting to get red and god knows how red Adelene's would get after that considering previous teasefests. They stopped after their one little remark though, they didn't want to overdo it and cause anymore trouble for Adelene given her condition.

"Alright with that out of the way here's that spicy bread. I grabbed a few fresh slices for you so eat up. Anything you need Darling just ask alright?"

Jason simply nodded to his wife's offer. Adelene was family, and they took care of each other. Jason looked over at Leon and handed over a bag and gave him a wink. Leon rolled his eyes as he reached inside and removed a wooden box. It was about the size of a decently sized stuffed animal. Shaking it would reveal no noise and the box itself was rather light. When she opened the box inside would be something akin to a display trophy.

It was a small platform carefully painted to look like grass on the sides with the middle a brown-ish color that looked like a dirt trail. Two figures stood on it clearly being Leon and Adelene given their height, hair color, and clothing. On the Leon figure's head was his orange goggles, the white ones he made for Adelene on her's. Adelene was holding Leon's arms as they walked.

The entire wooden statue was something Leon had been working on for a while, something Adelene could set up somewhere in her apartment to look at anytime Leon wasn't around, and it was light enough it could be moved to different spots if needed. If anything Leon simply loved to make things for Adelene for special occasions, and this was just perfect for to help cheer her up more.

Adelene felt genuine parental concern when Jason and Robin arrived and gave her a hug and a kiss. Such features were still unfamiliar to her, despite already having some of her childhood memories, but they were definitely welcome. She smiled at them as best as she could. It didn't last long, however, not with them teasing her and Leon again right after.

"I... uh... I'm still in pain, but it's not so bad now that Leon's around, and he two of you, too."

The heart monitor was arrhythmic for a moment, but after that, the beeping finally slowed down. She accepted the spicy bread with a bright smile, then took one huge and hungry bite.

"Thank you, Aunt Robin, and Uncle Jason, too," she spoke as she chewed, and slowly emptied her mouth. "Ah, this is the best. Your baked goods are delicious!"

Then her attention was dragged towards the box Leon was holding. Though curious, she made no attempt to stop eating just yet, or to take it from him.

"Leon, what's that?"
